So I've decided to replay SoulSilver, one of if not my favorite Pokemon game. And I'm gonna keep a journal about it! Yay! (bad at intros)
I've also decided that this playthrough I'm going to use Pokemon that I wouldn't normally think to use. That's actually why I've chosen Chikorita--because I never really liked it all that much, and I want to try using it. I know this means the first few gyms are gonna be hell, but whatever! :D
Anyway, so here's what went down today when I played. My Chikorita's name is Nami, and she has a Naughty nature. Not that I really pay attention to natures, but in case there's someone here who does....I did restart the game three times in order to get a female Chikorita <.< >.> But that's not such a big deal, right? XD I went on my way to see Mr. Pokemon, fighting NOTHING BUT FRICKIN HOOTHOOT (it's evening, that's probably why), then came back and beat up my favorite rival in all the Pokemon games ever. EVER. I mean what? It was a rather easy battle, since I was two levels higher. I named my rival Silver, being completely unoriginal and giving him his manga name. And I decided to let my mom save my money. I really like that feature--that way, if I get defeated, I don't really have to worry about my money ^^;
Well, that's all that really occurred. I've decided that I'm going to set up my journal in this way: I'll always have my current team and their levels at the top, but when I get a new Pokemon I will mention it, its nature, and its moveset. I'll also make note of when Pokemon learn new moves. Hopefully that works out and won't be confusing!
