Now that I hopefully have your attention, here's some new footage from the Pokemon X and Y games.

The biggest part of this video for me, and I mentioned this in the last news update, is the male player character riding the new Pokemon, Gogoat. The feature of being able to ride Pokemon has been something that I've always thought should be added to the games. I mean there have been Pokemon like Rapidash that have been ridden by characters in the anime. At the moment however, Gogoat seems to be the only known Pokemon with this ability and it can only be used in a certain city. It's also unknown if this ability requires a certain item or a particular move. I'll add more information on this as soon as I find out about it.

It also appears that players will be able to use rollerblades to get around certain areas. This might just end up replacing the bicycle item used in previous games, though that's just a guess on my part. It's also been revealed that players will be able to obtain certain special items throughout the game to further customize the appearance of their character. Game mechanics aside, there has been other information that has been revealed.

For one thing, the name of the new region that is the setting for X and Y is going to be called the Kalos Region in the U.S. For more information, click here.
