Sorry I haven't been posting in this world during the past week or so. There's kind of a news lull on, and some of you reading may already know, I haven't been having the best week. But I seem to be doing a lot better now. Anyway, I decided to take a quick look at the X and Y stuff on Serebii.net and I ended up taking a closer look at the Mega Evolution page. The page has been updated with details on how Mega Evolutions are activated.

Basically it works like this. In order for the Pokemon in question to "evolve", it has to be holding the appropriate Mega Stone. Rather than the transformation happening automatically, the player triggers it by selecting a special button in the menu while picking an attack. The Pokemon then "evolves" and launches an attack in the same turn. I'm sure there's a lot more about this interesting new game mechanic that's left to be revealed, so I'll keep my eyes open. For now, stay tuned.
