Mear
"That I really, really like you, Mear..... So much....." Shupple had said all but completely and utterly throwing the Smeargle Gijinka through the skyline and back. All he could do for a full second and a half was stare somewhat unsure of anything else to say. Turning redder than a Ponyta’s flames, Mear found his eyes retreating out and away from the like. However, forcing himself back to the present situation, he breathed outwards.
"Um.... Shupple...." Mear began. "I…. I’m glad…” he answered knowing that was not the word of choice that had initially come to mind. “Maybe….” Mear’s voice trailed off, and instead, he started looking off towards the skyline as if it held some mythical help of some sort. “Maybe we can be….” it was broken again, and in that instant, the Smeargle Gijinka decided it was beyond speech’s true forte to convey what he was trying to say on the matter.
Silence remained as a sister to the illustrious sound that had been swept away by the inability of either Gijinka to express what they wanted to, and before Mear registered what was going on, he found that he had started walking down the side of the water once more along with Shupple who followed a few feet to his right. Neither one spoke for a long time, and time itself in its all-knowing ways moved like a Rapidash through the terrain. After what seemed like a few minutes but had already transferred into hours, Mear looked down at his sketchbook and found that he had drawn on more than half the sheets of paper in his sketchbook. Nearly two thirds of them had been images of the terrain that he and Shupple had walked, but the other one third remained to be images of Shupple. Breathing outwards, Mear finally turned his head and allowed himself to view Shupple completely.
Shupple, feeling Mear’s eyes turned her head for a moment, but before either one could speak, they both turned their heads and said nothing as though neither one had seen the other. Time passed again, and Mear began to wonder if the entire thing would continue. He found it impossible to change the status quoe, and yet it would have to be broken sooner or later. The only true future understanding was that it would be changed by something drastic if something small was not done first. Mear stared down blankly at the grass for a moment that he was stepping on. Memories of tracing the lines of several art books suddenly came to mind leaving the Smeargle Gijinka was a fake feeling within his flesh. Shaking his head, Mear stopped walking completely. The sounds of Shsupple’s footsteps seemed to continue for a moment but then halt when the Banette Gijinka noticed that the Smeargle had stopped.
“….Mear?” Shupple asked quietly, but after a moment, Mear looked upwards and placed something on his face that would remain there for the rest of the day. A smile. It was somewhat of a shoved smile, yet it was genuine in nature and calm as the seas to the east. The Smeargle Gijinka said nothing but kept his smile wrapped across his face like some unknown flag. Reaching out his hand that did not incessantly cling to his sketchbook, Mear let out a breath and waited for what could only be described as the best hoped for. Shupple, turning red for a moment and then suddenly smiling as well, took Mear by the hand, and both Gijinka continued to walk carefully, peacefully down the edge of the lake.
Lee
"What kind of person am I huh?" the Luxray’s voice sneered back at the Hitmonlee who showed no visible detesting nature towards this. Lee’s face remained in the same calm format that it had retained through the entire talk, and as Lux appeared to understand that the Hitmonlee was indeed demanding this answer, he seemed to take on all but a defeated look and walk over towards a rock sitting himself down and placing his head in his hands. Lee made no judge of this but rather remained standing and crossed his arms after a moment waiting patiently for what he knew would eventually come next. "I am not sure how to answer that anymore to be honest."
Lee breathed out and nodded to himself understanding this context. Sitting down directly in front of the Luxray who remained frozen in the sitting position on the rock, Lee stared with a strange intensity at Lux. "Well look inside you and figure it out. I don't plan on leaving until you answer my question,” Lee’s voice was fluid and controlled in the matter yet his intentions were made so obvious that there could be no mistake as to his meaning.
"Geez you really are something else aren't cha!" Lux half laughed to himself. Lee returned the gesture with a smirk. "I guess....I like to think of myself as a protector,” Lux continued as though he preferred to address the ground on the matter rather than Lee. "Ever since I was a kid....I was picked on and made fun of because of my smarts in school. Once my village was destroyed, I had no one to turn too so I relied on only myself for the longest time. Finally someone special came into my life and I wanted to protect her with my entire being. I was able to do that for awhile until sadly one day that all ended. After that day, I trained with the mighty Raiku and learned to master my own combat skills in electricity and in hand to hand combat. So I suppose to answer your question, like I said, I believe myself to be a protector regardless of the show I put on. I realize sometimes I can come across as a total arrogant prick, or a total flirt, maybe even cocky and playful, but when you look at all those roots they lead back to me wanting to protect the people I hold dear because of the past that I lost and was unable to have."
Lee could only half smirk at Lux‘s answer. Indeed, the Hitmonlee knew in that moment exactly what type of Gijinka the Luxray was. Lux‘s heart was in the correct place on the matters that mattered to him, and this, Lee knew, was one of the most important aspects of mastering one‘s self.
"I can assure you that the protector type suits you well and I see the passion you have for others. Though, I don't agree with your actions for Hoom, I guess you have your reasons,” Lee answered back looking away from Lux now and off towards the clouds in the distance. After a few seconds, he forced himself upwards. . "It's up to you now to change what happened, regardless of what you two plan to do together, you need to sincerely apologize to her." Lee spoke finally looking back at Lux who took on somewhat of a strange visage.
"I won't..." Lux answered back, and before the Luxray could react, Lee smacked him upside the head with the broad side of his hand. It was not a punch anywhere near Chan’s status, but it was enough to get the message across. "WHAT THE HELL MAN!?!" Lux shot back.
"You will do it if you are man enough!" Lee’s voice was sharp and would not allow for any miscalculation of what he meant.
Lux’s visage was more in shock rather than anything else. "Oh come on man! Geez....you're just as impatient as Hon. If you let me finish I was going to say, I won't yet. Not right now. I need some time away and some time to think things through. Besides, I think it might be best to stay away from her for a bit so she can collect herself." Lux answered back causing Lee to sigh somewhat tiredly. Indeed, the Hitmonlee understood all too well how much he was already asking of the Luxray, yet he also knew that the Luxray had the ability to take the measures and run with them for that was the type of Gijhinka he was.
"Than how about you train with me for the time being." Lee answered back a half smile working its way across his face. It was a strange instance, Lee realized that he was even able to smile at all. Once concealing all emotion behind a mask that hid his mouth and nose, Lee had been very apt to be perceived as cold, yet then and there, he was somewhat pleased to know that emotion had some show of aspects that were worth showing.
A smirk seemed to register across the face of the Luxray "Oh ho! What's this? You really think you can handle me?" Lux challenged causing Lee only to half smirk back. Both Gijinka reflected each other’s strengths for a moment.
"Don't be foolish! I have fought Gijinkas stronger than you. You will be a piece of cake. Now come." Lee half smirked as he bent his knees somewhat and turned his form sideways in order to register kicks faster. Moving one wrapped finger, the Hitmonlee seemed to call on the Luxray to take the first move.
"Tsk. Cocky bastard aren't cha." Lux spat a bit and moved into his own attack format. "Don't underestimate me Lee. Now let's have some fun! Let's go!"
Charging forwards with an unmistakable air of determination, Lux moved to punch Lee in the right scalpula, and yet the Hitmonlee crossed both arms in an x formation blocking the attack as well as seizing the Luxray’s wrist. Twisting his whole body on the pivot joint in his right ankle, Lee swung Lux over himself using the Luxray’s own initial force against him and causing him to go flying backwards. The sound of a body hitting rock seemed to echo though the area like a human train station. Turning sharply on his other heel and stepping into another karate form before Lux could attack from behind, Lee eyed Lux sharply as the Luxray forced himself off the rock.
“You’re very straight forwards with your force,” Lee commented. “This is both a positive when attacking but a negative when defending. Find more of a balance before I throw you off this mountain.”
Lux didn’t say anything for a moment but reached up and wiped what appeared to be blood from the side of his mouth. “You’re not bad,” he commented after a moment. “Not bad at all.”
“Come, that can’t possibly be all,” Lee answered back somewhat amused by the Luxray’s format.
“Don’t start underestimating me,” Lux answered back, and before the Hitmonlee could react, the Luxray had used extreme speed and used the initial momentum to kick Lee straight backwards and into his own rock. Biting down into his own jaw for a sharp moment as the weight of his own ribs all but came crashing into his internal organs, Lee breathed outwards and forced himself up the rock using it as a pad to gain higher ground from the Luxray Gijinka who had been about to register a sharp punch. Instead of hitting Lee, Lux had smashed his fingers into the rock. Flinching, Lux pulled his hand sharply out and stared up at Lee who was now standing on the rock and smirking down at him.
“You’re still not listening,” Lee commented.
“Hah, but I did get you back,” Lux answered back with his own smirk appealed across his visage.
“Indeed, and I congratulate you for it, but you see….” Before Lux could back up, Lee jumped straight off the rock and spun straight downwards using the centrifuge of his legs to increase the impact of the kick that was already loaded to the brim with Lee’s own weight. Backing up sharply as rocks exploded everywhere, Lux flinched as the impact had managed to take his right arm despite his sharp defense of aversion. “I don’t go down easily.” Lee finished his sentence as he stood in the crater of his own gravitational impact. Rocks around both Gijinka had been forced upwards as if Lee had used some sort of ground type move. Crossing his arms, Lee half smirked. “I could beat you with my legs alone,” he commented. “And I think I shall.”
“Don’t get cocky,” Lux answered back, but already Lee had put his arms behind his back and was running straight forwards again directly at Lux. Recoiling, Lux backed up and started to jump several rocks to gain high ground as Lee had done previously. Following his back strides with ease, Lee continued up the rocks as well moving with the agility of a a Horsea in its own whirlpool. Back striding once more and then suddenly kicking up a rock and punching it straight in front of himself, Lux made somewhat of a rock barrier between himself and Lee and punched it once more to send it flying at Lee. Jumping upwards and easily using the rotational energy of the rock to increase his own speed as he passed it, Lee whirled around the rock and caught Lux off guard once more kicking him straight in the collar bone. Lux flinched backwards and seized his throat as if trying to catch his breath in that instant.
“I won’t kick you there again,” Lee sighed more to himself than to Lux. “You would pass out instantly, and I would rather not have to deal with only half a fight due to a simple faint out of context of pressure points.”
