After that guy left along with Poochy, I sat on the ground quickly due to embarassment. As soon as I did that Hoom went in to grab a towel and threw it on my head and cleaned my hair. She was trying to dry me and get rid of the milk, yet I was still bothered by what he said and his eyes towards her. Suddenly I felt her fingers within the edges of the scars on my back. I tensed up because I never wanted her to see those. She than spoke to me in her usual sweet tone.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean too… I won’t ask about anything so don’t worry; I’ll wait for you to tell me when you are ready…”
I couldn't answer her because my past was too horrid to tell her and to be honest, if I told her I doubt she would care for me. I have done so many terrible things that she isn't even aware of. Besides, I didn't want to tell her that her Lux used to be the one kid in the village that no one liked because I was a book worm.I kept my head down because I couldn't let her see how hurt I was. I felt like when Xio was still alive...her voice returned to my ears after a moment of silence.
“..But well today isn’t the day to worry about this kind of stuff right Lux? Now you have a girl behind you who is waiting for her date to get ready for the ball.”
I turned around to face her and she stood up. I hadn't even noticed she was in her gown already, though she wasn't wearing her makeup and her hair wasn't yet to be finished. She looked great regardless. She than stood in front of me with both hands on her hips smiling.
“See? I’m already wearing the dress that was supposed to be a surprise, I’m also wearing your gift, so why don’t you get ready so we can have a good time?"
She than suddenly leaned over and gently put her hands on my cheeks. I found my way to stand up and I quickly stood before her checking her out.
"You look ravishing Hoom, you really do." I finally was able to bring myself to say. I can't always be so sad and today was her day so I wanted to make it special for her. "Yeah, what type of guy leaves his date waiting for the ball? Not a very good one I suppose." I chuckled from that statement, I wanted her to believe that I wasn't hurting inside and being with her made me so much more happier. Her beauty was already mesmerizing.
"Alright Lux, but go clean the rest of your self off and get ready. I still have some things to do myself." She giggled. "I still haven't heard if Melody and Hon are going together but we'll hope so."
"Yes well I think things will work of for the best. Here is your towel back Hoom. I better be going now I will pick you up at 6."
I extended my hand and gave her the towel and I turned away to head back to my room when I felt a huge embrace from behind. I turned my head and saw Hoom holding me tight.
"I am not stupid Lux, I can see you are holding it back and are in pain and I..."
I quickly turned around and put one of my fingers on her lips to quiet her.
"Hoom, like you said, lets not worry about that right now and have some fun tonight alright?" I winked to her. She was truly a wonderful woman and I knew I had something very special. I leaned over and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Now that will start the fun. Oh, by the way, that will be one of many tonight."
"That's the Lux I missed seeing." She let go and headed back into her room.
"I gotta change my dear Hoomy." I joked as I bowed in front of her. "I promise I will be all smiles and a hell of alot better looking when I come back. You never have seen me dressed up have you? Well you are in for a surprise."
She smiled and went back into her room as I went back to mine. Once I returned I took another blasted shower and took a nap in some more lose clothes. I woke up around 4 to the noise of the doorbell which I quickly ran down the hall and downstairs to answer. My roses and items had all arrive just as promised. I quickly took everything back to my room and prepared myself mentally and physically.
As I grabbed my suit out along with my shirt, I noticed that I was given the wrong color shirt for the ball. It wasn't blue but red and the tie I was given was pink with yellow lighting bolts. I mean that wasn't what I picked out but it really didn't bother me that much since I had read the posters that it was a red, pink, and white ball. I quickly put on the suit pants and white shoes. Than I grabbed the red shirt and buttoned it up while looking at myself in the mirror. While checking myself out I saw that my earring was dirty so I went to clean it in the sink. As it soaked within the water in soap, I put my tie on which was actually very sharp. It took me awhile to get it straight but it was flattering with the red shirt and I thought it would for sure work well with the white suit too since I was probably the only one wearing white as a suit. Finally after about 5 minutes I put my earring back in which seemed to be clean and shimmering. Hell, can't let Hoom's bling out shine mine. I than took some gel and rubbed it between both hands and combed threw my hair to keep it stand up straight. After some time with that, I went over to the dresser and grabbed my suit jacket and put it on.
I had to admit I even was checking myself out and I thought I was looking pretty good. Even though I had a scare on my left eye I think I was still up to good standings with Hooms wishes for a date.
Looking in the mirror at myself I noticed the red rose pin that resembled a Boutonniere from Estelle, so I put it on. I still had one extra so I figured I would head over to Hon's room.
I knocked on his door.
"Hey runt you in there?"
"Yeah yeah I am coming." He mumbled as he opened the door.
"Hey kid not bad." I smirked with a bit of a chuckle. "Looking good. Melody will be stunned when she sees you."
"You think so?" He asked quickly with a smile. His eyes lite up. "I can't wait to see her. Oh and you look really sharp to Lux."
I put one of my hands behind the back of my head and smiled. "Well thanks I tried. Anyway I got something for you runt."
"Well whatever it is I don't want it!" He turned around and I quickly grabbed him as I knelt down beside him.
"I think you do if you want to impress the ladies. So shut up!" Hey I had to put him in his place since I was being stern. I opened the box and put the red boutonniere on him. "This will make you stand out plus it shows you aren't afraid of flowers. Women like that. Oh and here, give this to Melody she will love it." I gave him a pink corsage to put Melody's wrist and a small bouquet of roses to him.
"Why are you helping me?" He quickly asked. "I bet you are only do it because of my sister. I see right threw you."
I grabbed his head and messed up his hair. "That's NOT the reason why I am doing in smartass. I am doing it because...because...you remind me of me." I sighed. "I want you to have fun and enjoy yourself, you are only young once so live in the moment."
He looked at me for a moment and than smiled. "Alright thanks Lux, you're the best."
I scoffed and gave him a cocky smile. "I know already. Don't need to tell me twice." I messed up his hair again.
"HEY HEY HEY WATCH THE HAIR I JUST DID IT!" He yelled pushing my hand away.
"Well do it again!" I chuckled as I ran off back to my room. He only smiled and gave me a finger and I stuck my tongue out. We both waved and headed back in.
Once I returned I gathered up the two bouquets left and the corsage that I bought for Hoom which was a red rose. I headed over to her room around 6 but I went downstairs and placed my other flowers on a table in the ball room so I wouldn't forget. Man did I have a lot to do. After some time, I finally reached Hoom's door.
I was a bit nervous and gently bit my lip and held my hand in knocking position. Suddenly I took a step back to check to make sure everything looked good in the mirror near her room. Ok, I was alright. I straighten my tie and took a big gulp. I had the bouquet of flowers in front of me and the corsage in my pocket.
"KNOCK KNOCK!!"
It had finally come, the ball for Hoom and myself.

It's funney how bounty hunters never seem to learn. Honestly, you get captured, you break out, you get captured again, and you break out again. I've been letting it go on for 10 years. I think it's time to actually try to run. Poffins are good, but I might get fat, eventually. Time to go, I've been here long enough.
Phasing out of the bonds, I passed through the door.
"Hey! You can't leave!" said a bounty hunter. I just gave my pointy-toothed smirk.
"Hypnosis," I muttered. He fell to the ground, asleep. "Nightmare" I said. As I walked away, he was sweating and writhing on the ground. I just kept smiling. As I reached the door into the real world, I closed my mout and lowered my ears, so I would look somewhat normal. With my head down, I phased through the door, into an alley. Walking quickly across the main road, I nearly kept into the safety of the forest. Sun was setting behind the trees. I walked that way for quite a while. The moon was shining when I heard sounds from nearby. Pulling my goggles down over my eyes, I walked on, my vision in the night a bit better. Eventually, I came upon a mansion.
A mansion? Out here? The only lights on were in a large room, presumably a ballroom. I left my body for a spirit walk. Into the mansion and the ballroom. To my surprise, I found a huge amount of Gijinkas! It looked like some kind of Valentines day dance. I gave a small smile. They all seemed to be having a lot of fun... May be I could introduce myself if I walked in... No, I'd leave them alone until the dance was over... I snuck out quickly before a ghost gijinka saw me.
Outside, I returned to my body and sat below the window, listening to the nice soubnds of music, talk and laughter. Valentines day... What a laugh! Love? What is love? Another way to say "mate with me"? Honestly! Who needs sh*t like that?
"Spying on something your not part of?" said a haunter, floating up to me.
"No, I'm not technically eavesdropping. I'm not picking up information," I pointed out to it.
"Well, there is a girl in there that I help with eaves dropping sometimes."
"Good for her, not that I really care."
"Yeah, you Sableye never really do, huh? All your type does is eat and hide." I nearly punched it, but I refrained.
"Really? I don't see you doing much better. You don't even eat! You just spy on people, and scare them every once in a while." There was a long silence.
"If plan to join them, they'll let you, you know," it said finally.
"Yeah, but once I get some food, I'll ditch this place."
"You probably won't find many gems around here,"
"Yeah, but I eat what I can get. Rocks work sometimes, too."
We sat in silence for a long time after that.
