Smoke was mixing with the upturned dust inside the arena. The air was becoming downright toxic. Andreas held his lab-coat sleeve over his face to filter out some harmful fumes. "You gijinkas are so hardy," he wheezed, glancing over at Melody and the others, who were seemingly breathing fine. Melody looked like she was about to give a boastful reply, when a somewhat familiar voice rang out through the acrid smoke.
"Guys!"
Everyone spun around to see a Glameow gijinka approaching them. Melody had seen her before, but didn't know her name. She appeared elated at the sight of allies, and came strolling over. Just as she was beginning to embrace Eva, however, a loud cracking noise overhead forced everyone to move back. A section of the ceiling crashed to the ground. Scanning over her partners, Melody observed that they had gotten out of the way in time to escape injury. Though, when her focus returned to the Glameow. A smaller piece of the large concrete chunk had broken off and landed on her foot. She grimaced, but pushed it aside and hobbled over. "Let's get out of here!" she exclaimed. "Or, at least find some others!"
Everyone obeyed without question, and they were back to examining the place in hopes of finding an alternative exit. At one point, the Glameow discovered a gash in the wall and promptly used Fury Swipes on it. When she had weakened the firm cement enough, Eva blasted the rest of it out of the way with a specialized form of Shadow Ball. Andreas muttered to himself about how the new move was strange and that he could maybe study it sometime. He then followed the others through the hole made by the "Shadow Beam".
Once outside, the group breathed a sigh of relief. We made it out, Melody mouthed to Andreas. We're alive. He smiled and pet her on the head. "Of course," he said. "You gijinkas never cease to amaze me." The young Mudkip beamed, but faced the Glameow when she heard her give a grunt. "Oh, here," she offered, stepping over, "Let me heal your foot." The pained female nodded in appreciation as Melody used Aqua Ring to mend the bone.
"By the way," the Mud Fish Pokemon inquired, "what's your name?"
"Kat," she smiled, twisting her head to get a better view of Melody's progress on her foot. A bit of her hair fell out of the way, revealing a lump on the back of her head. Melody thought it was strange, but decided against questioning about it for fear of accidentally offending Kat.
"Look!" Eva suddenly cried out, just as the Mudkip gijinka was putting her finishing touches on Kat's newly-healed wound. She stood up, brushing her hands together, and turned her attention to the general direction where Eva was motioning to. To her shock, Hon and Lux were heading over, nursing rather serious injuries. Melody was about to rush over and start tending to Lux, since his wounds were the worst, but Eva was quick to give him a Sitrus Berry.
The rustling of more footsteps on the grass drew some attention. Hoom, accompanied by Nina, limped over. Oh, God, Melody frowned, They're hurt too... Now I'm worried about the others...! Behind her, the sounds of elation were heard as everyone outside reunited with each other. She did an about-face to survey the new arrivals' injuries. She decided to start healing with Hon, then work her way around. She smiled and headed over to him.
"Hon!" she exclaimed, embracing him from behind and catching him by surprise. He jumped, ready to say something when she interrupted him. "Don't talk, not just yet," she said. "I must heal everyone, so speaking shall come later. Aqua Ring!" Hon was encased in a water sphere, where Melody made quick work of mending him. As she released him, a hand clasped around her shoulder. "Melody, dear, who is this? What are you to this kid?" Andreas, who was standing beside her, asked, the malice obvious in his tone of voice. Hon's eyes narrowed at the term "kid".
Melody glanced between the two of them. She cared very much for both of the males, and the last thing she wanted was to upset either of them. We've had enough trauma today already, she told herself. "Um..." she muttered. "Uh, Hon is... he is....."
Continue?
Melody.

Sorry for the awful ending and all-around crappy-ness. I'm in sort of a rush. But anyway, DRAMAAAA. A little bit. Let us not forget the group members still inside, and Breloom and Stantler, though! I love how this story is going. Let's keep it up, shall we?
Listen, everyone has been complaining how its hard to get in the story line right? Well, right now is your chance. The big group in the story set it up so that everyone could gather there outside the contest hall. You could get there many ways, from smelling your way to the other gijinka's, to going to where the strange attack went off, to just walking upon the scene when trying to get away, and more ways. So please post, its not as hard at the moment and were waiting for you.
Sorry if I wasnt alowed to do this. I can delete this post. I just really wanted anyone who didnt relize this to know.
