As we walked down the hall back toward the meeting hall, Roka seemed to be glancing at me. It was quiet, but I wasn't about to break the silence. I sighed I'm out of my element, here... How many years did I spend with those women and I STILL don't understand them...? Suddenly, Roka turned toward me with a defiant look on her face.
"You know what?!" she yelled at me, "You really annoy me!" And she ran off ahead.
I stared after her in a confused shock and then sighed. She's going to get lost again if she keeps this up... I thought, rubbing my forehead. I ran after her, trying to catch up before she wound up finding a pitfall, or something. Pitfall...? my pace slowed slightly as I remembered the time that Master had fallen into a trap and wound up nearly dying... That was the first time we met, too... I shook my head and focused on the task at hand. Why do I have to keep chasing after these crazy females...? I started to catch up to Roka.
"Roka! Slow down, you'll get lost again!" I called out to her. Suddenly from another hallway, a gijinka appeared in her path and she was running too fast to avoid the impact. She crashed right into a male gijinka that looked like a flareon with odd coloring. They both fell to the floor, the flareon ending up jumbled with one of his legs behind his head. Yikes...
"Roka?!" came a voice from another male gijinka that was a bit further down the hallway that the flareon came from. Looks like a Lunatone... must be the smoker's brother... I thought, examining him. He looked over at me with a slight confused look on his face.
"Whoa...!" said a smaller Meowth gijinka. "They really went at it! You guys alright?" he said trying to untwist the flareon. The guy looked like he wanted to cry as his eyes darted around between all of us. He lowered his ears and backed away from Roka a bit. She raised her head a bit and winced. It looked like she had bruised her wrist in that impact. I took a step forward, but the gijinka I guessed to be Luke stepped in front of me. He gave me a slight glare before going to his sister to check her out. He probably thinks this is my fault... I frowned.
"Are you alright, Roka?" he said as he examined her wrist.
Roka looked up at Luke as if he were rescuing her from something. "Luke... yeah, I'm fine..." she said as she glanced over at me again before letting her eyes drop to the floor. Contrary to her statement, she winced when Luke pressed on the tender blue-purple spot.
I felt like maybe I might've been somewhat responsible for this. "You should get that on ice. I don't know what they have in the kitchen, but there's a Glaceon gijinka at the meeting. We can see if he will help out in that area."
Roka looked up at me as if struggling between being skeptical and being grateful. Luke still wasn't too sure of me as he looked me up and down. As if sensing the tension in the air, the small Meowth spoke up.
"Uh, hey hey! Now we found your sister, Luke! So now that everyone's together again, how about we head back to the meeting?" he said with an awkward smile.
I sighed, "Are we gonna make it back in there without the rampaging leader noticing?"
The little one froze slightly then rubbed his head with the same akward smile, "It'll work out... somehow..."
