I sighed. Nyarth and Estelle were so lucky. They get to go outside. Even though the humans dont like Nyarth and Estelle can hide the fact that they are different. I on the other hand have no chance at hiding the fact that i am a gijinka. I may not have a tail, but my skin is a light blue color. Even if i took the time to try to hide my ears i would look like i was frozen to the humans. I wanted so badly to be able to go out and have fun and to not be treated like a freak. Im always stuck here. Just then Estelle and Nyarth came back, and they had another gijinka with them. Estelle put all the stuff down. "Ok everyone i have big news!" She looked at the new girl. "This is Mel!" Everyone smiled, and we all took turns introducing ourselves to her. She was shy but i thought she was very nice. Estelle and Nyarth still looked excited and i knew they had more news. Estelle held up a flyer she had been holding. "Look! The humans are holding a contest in honor of Gijinka Day! The best part is that we can enter, because with all the humans dressing up for it, nobody will be able to tell were gijinkas!" This was it! This was what i had been waiting for! My chance to have some fun in the outside world!
