"Our next battle is Breloom and Stantler vs Melody and Nina. Please report to the stage, contestants!" the announcer said.
"Well that explaines whos next." said Vixy.
"Yep." I said happily.
Then we heard the announcer again.
"I am sorry to inform you so late but we have some bad news to report. Due to the lack of participation in battle and by the judges' scores, Eva and Estelle's battle disqualifies them and the winners are the Purugly and Crobat. Block B is in the lead 2-1 over Block A. That will be all."
"Dangit! I thought we did so good too!" I shouted upset.
"Its ok Eva. I'm sure we can enter this again next year or something. Its not that bad." said Vixy.
"Yah, I guess your right. I mean I can spend more time with you now and I also have more time to..." I noticed her giving me a hard eye since i was about to say eavesdrop so I said instead, "listen to whats happening." with a slight smile and a giggle.
Vixy sighed, "Well, I guess thats not changeing. O well. So lets watch the battle before you get back to 'listening'." she said.
I giggled, "Ok." I said with a smile.
When we saw Nina twist her ankle a little later in the battle I said, "Its a good thing Nyrath is in bed. If he was awake he would be worried sick."
"I guess so." said Vixy as she ate the pocky I had brought her. She really does love her pocky.
