Every time I tried to calm down and act in a proper way, something happened and I embarrassed myself. First it happened with the ice cream; however it was funny so at the end it didn’t matter; besides Lux made me feel very happy with every word he spoke and every single thing he did. I was having the best time ever and the restaurant where he took me was very nice.
For the first time I felt spoiled and since Lux agreed with the idea I ordered a Cherry cola. When Rena came back with the drinks, the breadsticks got my attention and seconds later both of us were leaning very close to each other; when our noses touched we were blushing and for a moment I thought about kissing him, “feeling that sensation again would be great”…However the moment didn’t come as a plate was dropped. I needed to calm myself after it, but again embarrassed myself when I said "I'm sorry I really need to use the little girls room. " you’re a lost cause Hoom "Umm can you order for me?" At least the last part sounded normal.
When I arrived to the bathroom, the first thing I did was to splash some water on my face; everything felt better after that; as my eyes looked around, they noticed someone else was there. The other girl glared at me and as she passed behind me she said “Poor Luxray…being with you because of pity..”
“shut up..” I growled
“what? Are you going to bite me or something?”
“Believe me, if I did that, you wouldn’t survive dear…” I gave her a look that took her out of the bathroom very quick. After some minutes I was returning trying to ignore the incident.
"Hoom, I'm sorry. I hope I didn't make you feel strange or uncomfortable." That took me by surprise, he wasn’t the problem, my nerves were screwing everything…
"Oh no no no! It's just I like being with you Lux. Really I do. So please don't think nothing of it. Like I said, I never really had a good relationship with someone. With you, you make me feel so good about myself and I know I can always be me with you." That was the best way to say it; the only one who really cared about me was Hon and feeling the same from another person was something new for me.
"That's why I like you Hoom because you ARE you! Please don't ever change. You are just wonderful the way you are." Hearing him saying all those things made me feel like I could trust him in everything and also felt loved…
"Thank you!" I finally said, he didn’t know how much it meant. Suddenly the same girl from the bathroom began to talk stupid things that didn’t matter at first.
"What the heck is he doing with her?"
"She isn't even that pretty." Another replied. "She is Houndoom, I mean look at those horns. She probably was the Devil's mutt or something." It began to affect me when I remembered what my sisters and father always said; I didn’t want to cry but I could feel the tears about to come.
"He really is handsome. Just look at him and that body. Aww how I would love to tap that." A girl said over at another table. "He even has a scar on his eye and an ear ring. He must be a bad boy."
"Does this happen alot?" Tears finally began to fall, I didn’t want to look at him because I was sure it did happen a lot; I didn’t deserve to be with him.
"Yeah it does to be honest. However, women like that never catch my attention. Actually they are very much annoying. It bothers me.I prefer women that are true to themselves. All they see is someone who is handsome, yes I know I am good looking but I am not arrogant enough to show off. I rather have a girl like me for my personality, my smarts, and be able to put up with me. That is why I like you Hoom. You already understand how important it is being yourself is. That's why I am interested in you." He gently put one of his hands against my cheek and whipped away the tears. Did he say he was interested in me? Really? Well it seemed a nice idea since I was interested in him too; however there was something between him and Estelle for what I could tell. don’t get illusions this quick…” Again it was easier to say it than to do it.
"Why is he touching her? She is so ugly." A girl said nearby. When were they going to stop? Lux suddenly stood up
"The only ugly person I see is the one right here putting down an innocent girl. Besides, your make up will never cover up that ugly personality and face of yours. If anyone else has something to say about my date, you better say it now. I suggest you leave before I make your day even worse and make a fool out of you." What he said left me in shock; he was actually defending me.
"Sorry to make such a spectacle of this." he sighed. "Women like that piss me off. Are you okay Hoom?" I stand up and hugged him tightly.
“thank you so much…you..you don’t know the meaning it had..” I licked his cheek…”stupid canine instincts..”
I guess we didn’t know what to say through the rest of the lunch so there was some silence and funny moments as we ate. At the end, Lux paid for everything though I told him I wanted to help; he answered he said he was going to treat me and then smiled; enough to convince me If you asked.
We exit the restaurant and began to walk towards a huge store full of clothes. As soon as we entered we got separated by two full of energy employees.
“What are you looking for dear?” The geodude guy asked
“emm…I guess I’m looking for a new outfit and also a ball dress…” The guy got excited and began to run through all the ladies part picking random clothes that I had to put on; after some attempts I finally chose a sleeveless red top and a pair of black boots; however I was having problems with the other part.
“so…have you ever try a skirt?” The guy asked. I was used to other things but the idea of the skirt didn’t sound that bad. The guy came back with different skirts and at the end told me I should ask Lux… “you ask this type of things to a girl, not a guy…what the heck..I’ll do it”
I got out of the dressing room with a black miniskirt and found Lux.
“Lux, do you think this looks good on me?” I asked tapping his back; he turned around and gave me a strange look.
“Mmm so it doesn’t look very good right? I’ll try something else..” the skirt seemed pretty…
“No, you are wrong, it’s the contrary Hoom, it suits you…” I blushed thanking him and then return to the dressing room as fast as my legs could.
“For your face I think he liked it” The guy laughed evilly which made me blush more “You like him right?” what the hell was wrong with that guy, asking that out of nowhere; however he seemed to be nice so I nodded “ but I think he likes someone else…” I said in a low voice
“then we’ll chose a dress that will surprise him!” He made me wear several dresses and finally the perfect one appeared. It was long but wasn’t very puffy at the bottom and it had decent cleavage at the front and back.
“Thank you George, I’ll be sure to tell you how everything goes” The geodude gijinka nodded happily and when I got out of there I noticed Lux was waiting.
“Have you been waiting for a long time?” I asked
“Not really…So did you get everything you wanted?” I nodded “what about you?”I asked happily. He too nodded and then stood up from where he was sitting.
“Can I see the dress you choose Hoomy dear?” He began to approach with an evil smirk in his face and almost saw it.
“No you can’t its going to be a s…Hey Lux, are you actually going to the ball?” He never said he was going. After some minutes he finally answered
“you didn’t give me another possibility since I’m curious about the dress; of course I’m going” he smirked. The thought hit me seconds later “If he is going…who would be his couple?” Probably Estelle would be better for him. I wasn’t very good for formal dancing and after all if he went with someone else, we would meet there right?
I smiled at him the best way I could “Then…should we pay for this and head to the mansion?”
He seemed to notice but both ignored it and headed to the mansion; at one point I grabbed his hand without realizing it.
“can I?” I asked, he grabbed mine and it felt great. As we began to reach the mansion, the feeling of not wanting everything to end there began to pursue me.
“Lux, thank you so much for all the things you did today; you don’t know how much it meant…”
“then, why don’t you explain me ?”
“when I have the chance, I’ll do it so you can know more about me and as well I hope to know more about you..” Another smile on my face and we got to the door. The silence between us and the fact that no one was trying to open the door was making me crazy so I decided to do it.
“Well then..i guess I’ll see ya arou..” Before entering, I felt Lux pulling me but nothing happened, a confused expression was in my face and the beating of my heart was strong. He let me go.
“It was nothing….Then, I’ll see you later.” He smiled and I quickly went to my room; after leaving all the stuff I decided to look for Hon; however when I arrived at his room he was sleeping. It was the first time I was there so I decided to look around in silence. When I arrived to the bathroom I said to myself that I was too lazy to go and take a bath in my room so at the end decided to took one there.
