Whispering Hearts

Gray

I heard beeping around me. Silent whispers. Tapping on glass.

"Is that thing waking up yet?" A voice demanding.

"Not yet sir, but he should be waking up any second now." A voice calm as a river, and yet, I hear my heart beating frantically.

What had I done yesterday? Oh, yes, that's right... I had snuck the Love Card into Mear's tuxedo... One of his pockets. Wait a second... Where am I?

My eyes flew open in an instant, and then I looked around me, finding that I was in a glass case and people were surrounding the case. Wait a second, I got captured by the Bounty Hunters?!

I sat up, since there actually was enough room in the box for me to sit up and I noticed that I had fingers like a human. A chest like a man. Toes like a human. Well, at least I had pants on, but wait a second. I was human? No, a Gijinka.

"Finally. He's awake. Now, what shall we-" I stared at the person talking, which actually was what it made shut up. I always did that just to shut people up. It was actually kinda funny.

My eyes darted to my fists, and whispered in a deep voice, which was weird, "Shadow Punch." My fist glowed and I punched the glass, which made it shatter all around me and cut me a few times. Hell, just as long as I get out of here, I'm fine.

I then found myself jumping out of the platform I was on and did another Shadow Punch on the wall, which, as you can guess, broke and fell apart. Finally! Out of there!

I found myself somewhere outside the city, somewhere near a farm, I think. Oh, yeah, I've been here before... I stole food one time. I shrugged and saw the clothing line. Grabbing a black jacket, purple shirt with a skull on it and black motorcycle boots I found laying around the house. Heck, I didn't care if I was a thief. It's how I lived all of my life.

Making myself disappear into the shadows of the forest behind me, since I was a master at disappearing in this way, I slid on the clothes and boots quickly and found myself running towards town. I looked behind me, and found I wasn't being followed, but the sun was giving me a headache, so I flipped the hood over me and ran through town, trying to find that mansion again. It was harder with these human eyes, but they were sharp enough for me to dodge obstacles.

Finally finding it, I knew I would be safe here, so quietly, I took a rest under the shadow of the building, but then I also remembered that it was Valentine's Day. Perfect!

Sneaking inside, with gijinkas starting to stir, I rushed up to Shupple's room, and knocked.

"Shupple? Are you there?" I asked through a crack in the wall and I heard footsteps heading towards the door and it was rammed open.

"Who are you?" Shupple asked coldly. Come on! She can't even recognize me! Well, maybe because I was a gijinka now...

"Come on, don't you recognize me?" She didn't reply and I sighed. "It's me, that Gengar who's been with you this whole time, you know? As a friend?" Her face grew livid. Oh, great, here comes the-

Punch. She rammed it into my forehead. Ow...

"Idiot," she muttered as she stood there, waiting for an explanation. I explained almost every single thing that had just happened, and yet her face didn't loosen up.

She passed by me swiftly, as to get breakfast I suppose, as I was hungry too, but once we got to the main hall, I saw Mear. Hehe...

"Why don't you go and talk to Mear?" I whispered and she just punched me again in the face. Ow... Why does she have to keep on punching me?

Instead, once Mear and Shupple got close enough, I pushed Shupple into Mear, and they just toppled over, food flying everywhere. I chuckled a little as I went to a wall and disappearing into it's shadow.

They had such whispering hearts...
