A Little... Lightheaded...

Shupple

I stood up from the bench, I noticing the shadows becoming longer. Thank God it was almost dark... I couldn't believe how long I had been out in the day... I've never been out this much. Not at all in the very least.

I noticed shadows were moving among my feet and I noticed just a little off in the distance, the Linoone that had been on my lap and had tackled another Linoone, both of the squealing in delight. It made me smile just a little, but just doing that made me dizzy a little.

Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Mear was looking at me, which made me look at him with a small smile on my face. I felt calm, with just being a little lightheaded, and Mear gave me a calm stare back.

"Shall we go then?" Mear asked, holding out his hand from his pocket for me to take. This shocked me a little with a bit more than needed surprise on my face and then I realized, I should take his hand, even though it was a little awkward, but not... really, I think.

Mear nodded to himself and lead me out of the park and into town. The town wasn't as busy as it was when we first came here, which made me feel a little bit relaxed. We slowly passed by shops we had been recently to, like the cafe and I noticed that the Gardevoir was standing outside it, and smiled towards me, waving a little. I knew what she meant and I felt myself blush a little bit more than needed.

We soon passed by the clothing store and I couldn't believe that it had been only just yesterday that went there. Weird... It felt longer than that...

We slowly came to the edge of the town and when we were just walking into the forest, I saw the sun finally going down and the full moon shining through the woods, and just then, I lifted down my parasol and undid with one hand. It was full moon and beautiful.

I felt the wind pick up and blow through my hair and push my bangs off to the side. I didn't bother with them this time. It felt nice to have the darkness around me. It felt better.

Suddenly, I had a feeling that Mear was looking at me, and I looked to him, and caught his eye. I smiled to him, and he smiled back. And before I knew it, we were back at the mansion, all of the lights on it, beaming like a million lanterns, and then I actually realized, they were lanterns.

There were lanterns stringed up outside and all around me, hanging from trees. Small tables were set outside dressed with red cloths and white chairs with little candles on top, being lit by other Gijinkas. It was amazing, how they set it.

“Amazing,” I whispered as I took one step forward and Mear smiled and followed behind, our hands still hand together. Thinking this, it made me blush, and we walked over to the back door and entered through, by which we were almost run over by someone new, I think.

We headed up to the second floor, and I smiled at Mear. We parted hands.

“I'll... see you later, okay?” I told him, giving him a soft smile, and he nodded and we went to our rooms.

I passed by people quickly, even if I did have to phase through a few walls so that I could avoid people rushing past me. Once I finally got to my room, and opened the door, I found my dress on my bed and something on top of it. I closed the door and walked over to my bed, finding that it was the Love Card, still white. I smiled. Gray returned it...

I changed into my dress and looked at myself in the mirror that I had against my window that was bolted. It looked... okay, I guess. I just wasn't used to wearing red before...

Making me jump, I heard a knock on the door, and a head popped in.

“Mind if I come in?” It was Gray.

The day went boringly on. I explored every single nook and cranny of the whole mansion in my shadow form. I knew every single place and every single hiding spot. I had decided where my room would be, since the second floor was mostly filled. On the third floor, last hallway and door on the Boys Side of the house. It was technically the same as Shupple's, just guy formed, if you really want to put it that way. Good thing I haven't been caught yet by Lupe. I had a feeling things wouldn't go well with that meeting.

I couldn't help but yawn after I had gotten set up in my new room, which wasn't that far from Mear's, and found a white tuxedo in my closet. I had a feeling the ghosts provided it, and at that moment, I phased through walls and went into Mear's room, not touching anything and when I saw the box open that contained his tuxedo, I saw the white card on the side, just where I had left it. I slid it quickly out, went quickly to Shupple's room and put her white card on top of her dress, where the ghosts had put it in preparation. I smiled and went back up to my room.

I didn't keep track of time as I just stared at the ceiling for hours on end. It was pretty obvious. I was bored.

Now it finally turning to sunset, I just noticing this, I jumped off my bed, slid into my tuxedo, red bow-tie and all, I phased through the door, I just seeing Mear. Shupple and Mear must have been out all day together. That made me smile towards him and I phased through the floor into the second floor, I practically being run over. Can't people watch where they are going once in a while?

I skipped over to Shupple's room, and knocked on her door, then opening it and popping my head through.

“Mind if I come in?” I asked, and Shupple smiled and nodded.

I skipped in, smiling my big smile and closed the door.

“Can you help me with this? I can't... get it all the way around.” Shupple was talking about her necklace.

“Sure, sweetie,” I said sweetly to her as I went over to her and helped her with her necklace.

“Thanks,” Shupple whispered, I smiling into the mirror to her and she did a small smile back. “I also noticed what you did to my dress,” she continued with a little bit of cold in her voice. I rolled my eyes.

“Didn't you see the dress code? It said white, red, or pink. I know you hate pink. You hate it like my little sister,” I laughed but her face didn't change. “Oh what, returning the white card wasn't fair enough?” I questioned her and her face loosened up.

“Sure, let's go with that,” she muttered and when I finished up her necklace, I started to curl her hair with my sharp claws.

“You've gotten adjusted to be a Gijinka already, haven't you?” Shupple asked and I nodded.

“It's not that hard to figure out. You just got to get used to it. I miss my little sister though, she still stuck as a Gastly...” Shupple didn't reply but she stared at my claws, her hands constantly messing with her dress. With her doing that, I noticed something.

“Nice cover-up,” I teased and she stuck out her tongue in a mean way in the mirror. I rolled my eyes. “Don't think I didn't notice you about to evolve, but trust me, that's just the beginning of it. You'll have a few days before you actually evolve,” I told her seriously and she did a small nod. Same old Shupple.

“So... Did you and Mear have a good time?” I asked her as I was starting to come to an end with her hair. She blushed. I knew her answer.

“Good,” I chuckled.

“You're such a big brother, you know that?” Shupple said, no emotion involved. I just laughed and continued with the last of her hair. Once I was done, I helped her with her high heels, red and black, which was a cute pair with the dress.

She nodded to me, smiling as I put the white card back into her stack of tarot cards and left the room afterwards. She was nervous, I could tell before I left, and was unsure if she was going to exit out of the room and go to Mear, or just stay in her room until the dance started. She was doing the last of her little bit of makeup when I left.

I walked through the thick wall until I was at the main room. I watched and chuckled at the frantic girls rushing in between rooms, doing ribbon and such, I hiding in the shadows. Nobody could see me. I was technically, a shadow.

A lightheaded ghost Gijinka that had the same lightheaded headache as Shupple. I smiled. Good for Shupple.
