Really... Beautiful...

Shupple

“I...Uh... I... made this earlier...” I looked at Mear's hand, which had opened up to a necklace he was holding.

This kind of shocked me, but I felt a slow blush rising to my cheeks. This kind of stunned me. I just stared at the necklace, and it still didn't register in my mind if this was for me or not. Was... Mear... giving this to me... or just showing it to me? I almost felt like touching it but then I cringed my hand into a fist so that I wouldn't touch it and do something wrong.

Mear dodged my eyes, but I couldn't help but look at him and blush a little bit more than I expected. He looked back up and I decided to ask him the question that was pondering in my mind.

“Is... Is it for me?” I stuttered with my voice trembling, my voice being very nervous. I was nervous. I couldn't help it. I really did want to know if it was for me or not.

“Y....yes... if ... you I mean... if ... You want it....” Now I was surprised, and was surprisingly wondering if he was going to say more. It made me really wonder and suddenly, all my nerves kicked in. I let a little bit of a nervous laugh out but then I realized that I did something wrong. All the issues that came to what my mistake was in the laugh came to mind. What exactly did I do wrong? I think... I made the laugh sound like I was making fun of the necklace and I wasn't meaning to at all. I didn't mean it to sound like that....

I heard a sudden clank enter my thoughts and I noticed that Mear had dropped the necklace... What was wrong?

“S...sorry....” Mear said, sounding unsure. Something sounded wrong... and I think it was because of the laugh... Oh, God...

Bending down after about a moment, I picked up the necklace. It was cold in my hands but when I stroked it, it was warm. It made me blush a lot.

“I... didn’t mean to laugh....” I told in a half serious pained tone. “I... was... just... Mear....” I didn't like to have Mear upset... It kind of worried me... I felt myself become extremely red from embarrassing myself like that and just stared at the necklace. It was truly beautiful...

I stood up straightly and held the necklace in my hands, the thread of the chain intertwined with my fingers.

“It’s... beautiful...” I quietly said to myself. It really was pretty. A little gold chain with some type of design that was absolutely beautiful. It looked like a crescent moon or a star or something...

An embarrassed laugh came out of Mear, even though it seemed he was trying to hold it in.

“I... just...” Mear seemed unsure on what to say now. He seemed like he was just unnerved, but then again, so was I. I just loved this necklace, I think not just because of its design but also because it came from Mear.

"Did... Did you make it yourself?" I couldn't help but ask happily. I felt somewhat happier now that Mear had given me this. I looked up at him and smiled and he just nodded, embarrassed. I felt embarrassed myself for acting this way... Blood rose to my cheeks as I thought that.

I then kind of wanted to put it on. It made me happy. I looked up at the clasp to the chain and undid it and tried to put it on.

"You... You r-really do like it, Shupple?" Mear stuttered and I nodded with a small smile on my face, making sure to look him in the eyes.

He smiled in happiness and yet we were still both avoiding each other's eyes. I looked at the ground, blushing furiously a bright scarlet, as I tried to get on the necklace, feeling embarrassed. I was about to ask Mear if he could help me when he suddenly rose a question, him blushing a lot then I hadn't ever seen him do before.

"D-do you n-need help with t-that, Shupple?" He stuttered and I nodded my head nervously. He walked behind me, and helped me with the clasp, fumbling a few times. He finally got in on, and I felt myself blush even more, and it also made me feel kind of short. I almost chuckled to myself. How... funny.

"T-thank you, Mear," I told him nervously, my voice starting to become unnerved, my eyes now dodging his gaze as he went to the front of me.

All of a sudden, I felt a pair of hands push me into Mear softly, but this time we didn't fall down, like earlier this morning. Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw that it was Gray who had pushed me, and then I realized what he was trying to do and I ended up blushing furiously as I dodged Mear's eyes. I was pretty sure that he had seen Gray too...

I was so unnerved, I couldn't move and I kept on blushing furiously.
