Sorry, I really didn't have all that much time!
Gale-
Darn it was dark down here. I wailed my arms in front of me, trying not to run into anything or fall over as my eyes adjusted.
‘You see, this is the part I’m happy to have Ma’ eyes.’ Ivax grinned to himself.
I merely kept my way through the dark. At last, I could finally make out shadows of objects enough to walk through without tripping over myself. I listened carefully as I heard steps a bit in front of me.
Ivax swung his head around to the side of my body to get a better look. ‘Someone’s coming, hide!’
I stayed right where I stood as I heard a muffled sentence. It sounded like they were yelling at someone else to stay away from them.
I heard some tumbling down the stairs into the basement, it seemed like someone fell into the room we were in.
“Gaahh…” The stranger groaned in pain.
‘Quickly! Let’s get out of here while we still got the chance!” Ivax cowered.
I instantly started towards the sound. “Hello?” I walked a little closer, straining to see where the person was. “Hello? Anyone there?”
They responded, still in shock from the fall. “No… Please don’t take me…”
I listened carefully as I heard a thump a little bit of water splash. I continued to try to find them.
“Where are you? I’m here to help!”
‘There they are, in that corner!’ Ivax tried to point them out.
Out of know where, a slim solar beam came flying towards me.
“Whoa!” I called out, dodging the attack.
Ivax grunted, slightly pissed. ‘Hey! What’d we do to tick them off! He we two are, try’in to help and they throw a beam at us!’
I kept my focus on the figure that I saw for a split moment. Suddenly, I heard a bunch of thing fall over from somewhere.
‘Incoming!’ Ivax warned as a ducked from an object being thrown my direction.
Yikes, this person had an arm! Boy was I glad that Ivax could see in the dark. I carefully moved towards the person as I heard them hitting against something.
“C’mon work…work.” I heard them command the object that I was now pretty certain was a flash light.
A few flashes came on and off until finally they got it to work. The light streamed towards me as I flinched, squinting from blinding, bright light.
Ivax retreated back behind my body, escaping the light as I tried to look past it. My eyes grew as I saw a girl, but there was something different about her… saw the large ears coming from the top of her head.
I felt myself flutter inside. Finally, someone like the two of us! I quickly tried to remember what the old woman called me, A Gijinka, I think, yep, a Gijinka.
I tried to regain myself as I spoke out to her. “Who are you…” I noticed her raise an eyebrow as she questioned me back.
“I should be asking the same question!”
Suddenly, the basement light turned on, I glanced around, but then reverted my attention back to the girl.
“My name is Gale. I am a Girafirag Gijinka. And I broke into this house because I heard screaming from inside.” I gave out my hand to her, offering to help her up.
She gave me a distrusting look, and to tell the truth, I didn’t blame her. I would be weary of someone who broke into my house too. Nonetheless, I left my hand hovering in the air for her. Her face let got as she became calm. She took my hand as I helped her up. I felt her begin to fall again, but quickly got her balanced.
Her eyes glanced to me, “The name’s Lupe. Lopunny Gijinka.”
‘Well isn’t she something else, I like a woman in a bathrobe.’ Ivax perversely snickered. I pushed his thoughts to the back of my head.
“What is going on here?” I questioned her, hoping she could shed some light on the situation.
She answered me; her voice seemed just as confused as I felt. “I’m not sure myself … this house just turned haunted outta the blue.” Suddenly , I heard some freakish laughter and some more screams. I glanced to her, she heard them too at least.
Lupe tried to force herself to walk. “I got to find the others!” She worriedly tried to get herself to walk back the way she came but fell again. I quickly caught her in my arms, as she moaned in pain. I knew the situation didn’t call for this, but I couldn’t help but let an excited tone out.
“Wait, there’s more Gijinka?”
“Yeah, the house is full of them…Gaaah!” She suddenly shrieked in pain.
My ears flew up as I got worried.
“Hey, are you alright?” I followed her finger pointing down to her ankle. It looked horrible, there was blood and it was swelling blue. I nodded, she was going anywhere without my help, and we really needed to find her friends, the others Gijinkas.
I brought my other arm under her knees and swooped her up as gently as possibly so that I wouldn’t harm her, or aggravate the wound.
“Thanks.” She spoke. I nodded.
‘Aw! I want to pick up the hotty!’ Ivax frowned. I continued to ignore any and all comments.
“Where to?” I questioned her.
“Upstairs. We need to find the others. They are in danger.” She informed. I quickly moved us upstairs into the darkness; she flashed the flashlight around as more screams and laughter sirenned.
“HELP!!!!” a voice begged in the distance. She pointed her flashlight down the hall.
“That way!” she ordered.
“Right!” I nodded, quickly following in the direction.
‘Let’s not go too crazy with this, bro, I don’t want to almost be a shish kabob again!’ Ivax growled to me.
“Yeah, I know.” I finally answered him as I made my way through the halls.
Lupe gave me a strange looks “What?”
I flashed I light smile with a nervous laugh, “Ah, nothing…”
Creepy malicious laughing was heard all around us two as we got to a four way split in the hall.
“Where to now?” I asked, glancing to Lupe. Just then, another scream filled the halls.
“That way!” she directed me again. Without a thought, I followed the way she signaled.
