We quickly headed out of the room, it was like there was no end. The arms seemed rather sour that we had taken away their prey. Arms came flying from every direction towards us. Poochy and Lupe kept them away, sending Shadow balls and thin beams. I couldn’t help just being a carriage running around, so I started using iron tail whenever they got a tad too close for my liking. Ivax complained, tears falling from his eyes. I kept my focus on the hands and not dropping Lupe. I could of sworn she kept giving me odd looks whenever I would attack, though.
“Please! SOMEONE HELP!!! I DON’T WANT TO BE ALONEEEEE!!” My ears pricked up.
“You hear that?” Lupe questioned both Poochy and me. We both nodded before heading in that direction.
“Shadow Ball!” Poochy and I commanded in unison.
The two dark balls flew, destroying the black shadow over the girl. It disappeared with an echoing screech. The girl looked up at us, tears flowing down her face.
‘Now this is getting ridiculous! ANOTHER girl? We hit the jack pot!’ Ivax pervertedly drooled. I sent him an angry thought back.
‘This is hardly the time OR place! So shut your trap!’ I was finally getting to my last straw with his comments.
“L-Lupe?” she stuttered.
I heard relief in Lupe’s voice as she smiled. “Yeah, it’s me. Glad to see you again, Vara.”
Vara smiled but then it slowly turned into a frown.
“What’s happening here?” She panicked, horribly confused. I felt Lupe let out a loud sigh.
Poochy came in. “Same thing we are trying to figure out.”
"Join the party, Vara... And don't go running off like you always do, ne?" Lupe crossed her arms. She nodded. Lupe moved in my arms again, pulling out another flashlight before passing it to Vara.
‘Don’t mean to be the harborer of bad news, but, HERE COMES MORE!!!’ Ivax warned.
More hands were charging towards us, I got ready to attack again before Lupe spoke out.
"Guys, don't attack." She yelled. We all gave her questionable looks.
"What? Are you crazy? They will kill us!" Poochy snapped back.
"Listen, maybe they will take us to the others. Maybe to Kat and this... Sable you speak of."
"Pssh, Makes sense..." I sarcastically sighed. She gave me the look as I quickly shut my mouth.
‘Oh yeah, this feels like such an agonizing decision!’ Ivax barked at me in my mind. ‘We can’t just stand here and do nothing, the chick’s gone psycho! Listen to me for once!’
"Just trust me guys!" The arms came closer and closer as we got ready to fight.
"But Lu-" one of them tried protesting.
"THAT'S AN ORDER!!" Lupe yelled at us.
‘GALE!!’ Ivax begged.
I sighed but obeyed just like the other two, trusting that Lupe was right. We all closed our eyes as the hands grappled unto us, attacked us and then dragged us into the darkness...
‘Gale!?GALE!!!! Wake up!’ I jolted awake as Ivax’s voice led me back into the living. My head ached with pain as I held it in my hands.
“Ow…” I groaned, a massive throbbing in my brain.
‘Hey! Welcome back!’ Ivax happily cheered.
“Ah! Lupe!? Poochy!? Vara!?” I quickly twisted around, trying to see if I could see anyone. I was alone once again with Ivax.
‘Nah, man, yu' all got dragged off in different ways. Now ya’ see, this is what happens when ya’ listen to some bunny yu’ just met, INSTEAD of listening to yur’ good ‘ole bro.’ he chattered, scolding me.
“It seemed possible…kinda…” I protected my choice as I tried to stand once again at my full height. We were in some sort of bedroom; the hands didn’t seem to be anywhere.
“We have to find them!” I quickly made my choice on my next action. “Lupe still has that sore ankle!”
‘Ah! She’s already proven that she can take care of herself, damn stubborn…’ he continued to angrily ramble to himself as I quickly went for the door.
“That doesn’t matter! She can’t move anywhere fast enough as long as she has that wound!” I grudged at him.
‘Hey! You hear that?!’ Ivax quickly cut himself, and me, off. I lifted both ears, but for once, heard silence in the mansion.
‘There it is again! What, are you saying you DON’T hear her?’
I shook my head, “I don’t hear anything…”
‘It’s a girl crying, begging for help. Aw, come on now, yu’ swear ya’ don’t hear her?’
I nodded. “Do you know where it’s coming fro-?” I froze.
‘Somebody…’ she spoke in between sobs. ‘Please…Help!’
‘That was her!’ Ivax chattered. ‘Told ya’!’
My eyes were wide. My ears didn’t hear anything…her voice spoke directly to me through my thoughts, like Ivax.
“I think she’s close by.” I mumbled to him.
‘Oh, hunky-dory, heres we goes again!’ he sighed.
I quickly left through the door, wondering if this would be useless.
I thought in my mind, responding on the same wavelength I usually use to communicate with Ivax. ‘Hold on! I’m coming to help!’
My thoughts began to race, as they suddenly cleared to the two things I had to do.
Find the others…
…and save the one talking to me through my mind…
