~GALE~
I quickly jolted up as I hit the ground. Dammit, it got me, whatever IT was. I looked around, the whole area was dark. The last thing I remembered was a wall of those locust shadows were coming our way and we were getting prepared to fight back.
I held my head in my hand, shaking my head.
“Well, *sigh* what now, got any Ideas, Ivax?” I looked at him, he was out cold.
My eyes became large as I took his head in my hands.
“Ivax? Ivax!? What’s wrong!?” I asked, worried. It didn’t make sense, he CAN’T fall asleep or be knocked out or anything like that, so, why wasn’t he moving.
“Ivax! Why can’t I hear you, Say something Dammit!?” My voice shook a bit, afraid that I wouldn’t be able to talk to him.
“Quite interesting…” I spun around to see the “ghost”. He gave me a smirk as I grinded my teeth together.
“What’d you do to him!?”
“Just at the fact that two minds live together in harmony, using the same systems, feelings, thoughts…”
He continued on, ignoring my question.
“Answer me!” I demanded.
He gave a light chuckle, “Oh, I didn’t do anything. You did this to him.”
“What?” I gulped, not understanding what the ghost meant.
“YOU did, all by yourself.”
I shook my head. “I don’t even know what you mean.” I growled “Undo what you did!”
“I see…you’re always going to be running from the truth, aren’t you, Gale?” He crossed his arms, giving me a serious look.
“W-what?” I gasped.
“You just can’t accept killing someone, can you? First your sister, then the old woman, and now your beloved friend. How many MORE have to die before you’re satisfied?” He tilted his head slightly.
“No! I-I-didn’t… I didn’t kill them! You did this!” I shot back.
He smiled even wider. “You didn’t kill them, it was an accident, you’re not to blame. How many EXCUSES are you going to make? See, you ARE running away.”
“Ivax isn’t dead! You just knocked him out! Help him NOW!” I felt my legs getting weaker as I spat back at him.
“Are you sure?”
My eyes became large as I looked at him again. He wasn’t moving at all, I couldn’t even sense his presence any more.
“No-n-no…” I shook my head, gasping. I looked back at the figure, but he was gone. I heard his voice echo around the dark realm.
“You did it, you killed HIM, Murderer, killer, He’s dead, you did it.” It continued to echo around. I closed my eyes and pulled my ears down as I fell to my knees.
“NO! NO! I DIDN’T KILL HIM! I DIDN’T DO IT!!!”
“Yes, you did.” I spliced my eyes back open as I looked to my tail. Ivax’s eyes were pure black, blood streaming from them like tears.
“Yu’ kILLeD mE gAlE!” he started laughing.
“AH!” I started running, but it was no use, he was connected to my body, hanging back like a flag. I ran, faster and faster through the dark, but, I was getting nowhere. I looked back at the tail, it still swung its head around with a devilish smile yelling at me, when I looked ahead, I froze.
There was a small Girafarig, full of blood. I almost chocked when I saw her, immediately knowing who it was.
“Gi-Ginger!?” My body froze as her head tilted to the side, the same creepy look Ivax was giving me.
“bRoThEr, wHy DiD YoU KiLl Me?” she asked, stepping forward. “WhY dId yOu KILL mE?”
I shook my head, tears coming from my eyes. “No, N-No! This isn’t real! I didn’t do it!”
“yEs yOu dId mY cHiLd…” I looked to my other side to see an old woman walking up to me.
“Moma?” I asked, fear overwhelming me.
“AfTeR aLL I DiD fOr yOu, wHy dId YoU KILL mE?” Her eyes teared with the same blood. I fell to my knees again as I curled over, hiding myself from them.
“It was an accident…” I sobbed, my eyes tightly closed. “I didn’t mean to…”
“Stand up.” Someone ordered. I glanced around from in between my arms to notice that only the ghost stood there again.
I stood, wobbling a little.
“Are you ready to pay for your sins?” he asked.
I glanced up at him. “I-I didn’t mean to kill them…it- it wasn’t supposed to happen.”
He nodded, like a parent would to a child if they had done something wrong.
“But, if you were never born… they wouldn’t be dead.” He said matter of fact like.
I nodded, looking at the ground. “I don’t want anyone else to die…”
“Then, I’ll end this nightmare, so no one else has to.” He started placing his hand on my head, just as I was accepting my fate, I felt a huge bite at my side. I jumped, baking away from the man and looking to see what bit me.
Ivax angrily chattered at me. ‘What the hell yu’ doing!?’
“I-Ivax!?” I felt my eyes become large once again as he looked at me.
The shadow growled as I looked back at him.
“This is an illusion! This whole place is an illusion!” I yelled at him, my anger started welting in my stomach as I growled at the man.
“You are still a murderer. You cannot hide from the truth!” some sort of darkness flung me up into the air before crashing back down a few feet away.
‘yu’ okay!?’ Ivax worried. I started getting back up.
“I didn’t kill Moma… She died of her spreading head tumor and Ginger, I accidently killed her, but instead of running from it I chose to make up for what I did!” I stood to my full height once again.
“And I’m not going to just roll over and die until I’ve made it up to her!”
He angrily grudged his teeth together as I kept my eyes glued to him.
“You’ve shown me that I can’t give up yet!”
The figure roared in anger “Fine! I hope you enjoy rotting in here!”
Suddenly, shadow Gijinkas of the others I had seen moments ago came out of nowhere, all with blood tears coming from their eyes. They were so loud that I couldn’t make out what a single one was saying.
‘Gale! What do we do!?’ Ivax insistently chattered, hoping I had an idea.
We had to get out of this nightmare, I didn’t know how, but we had no choice. I wasn’t about to waste my life running away, not again.
I slammed one hoof in the ground, summoning all my power and letting my control go.
“EARTH QUAKE!”
