-Hoom
The water was doing its effect as I tried to fight against the thing that was holding me; it had gone for my legs and now they were getting numb; in fact all my body was getting numb and now my vision was disappearing too.
Great Hoom, you used all your energy and now you don’t have any….I guess this is the end. No, wait…that is not what I’m feeling.
In an urge of giving myself a little more energy I began to scream
“I won’t die! I won’t die!” I yelled as my arms desperately tried to keep me floating; suddenly someone grabbed my arm and again, I panicked. The canine instincts acted on their own making me bark at the culprit.
“It’s alright!” I found a Hitmonlee gijinka near me. Was he an illusion too? Could I trust him?. The movement in the water stopped meaning only one thing. I felt how my body began to drown because of the numb legs and most of the body. The only thoughts in my mind were possible options to keep me floating; those thoughts were interrupted by a “Come with me!” that sounded as an order
“I can’t swim!” was the first thing that escaped my mouth; after all if he really wanted to help me, he should know about the situation.
“Then grab on!” Really? At that time I understood he wasn’t an illusion and that somehow he had arrived there for a reason. After some seconds I was able to grab him by the shoulder and now he was swimming for both. At one moment I swear I could feel how one of those strange hands tried to grab me again and my body flinched because of that letting a nervous growl escape my body again. It was a fact this was the worst situation but life was giving me a new
opportunity to live so I was determined to do everything I could to keep both of us alive.
“I won’t die… Hon… I won’t let myself die…” Were the words I repeated out loud to give me more energy, my body grabbed the Hitmonlee tighter in order to prove everything was real.
As he continued swimming it could be seen that he was getting tired and I began to feel very guilty for that; he didn’t have any obligation to save me but he was risking his safety for that objective
“I see the shore. Please… don’t give up….” What else could I say? I’m useless right now so don’t let us drown. That sure was not going to help at all.
“Right,” His answer was sharp but still he was such a nice man; being in that situation and trying to keep calmed, then taking strength from I don’t know where, he continued to the shore. As the distance to the land got closer, he grew tired but I was sure his willing to live and mine were not going to let us die before we could touch land. Finally after an ultimate effort we had arrived to the shore; for my part, I dragged myself to the sand waiting for my legs to recover their movement very soon.
“Tha-thank you,” I was able to say as my back rested on the sand; my mind still couldn’t believe this was actually happening and for my body, it was still getting rid of the numb feeling. After some minutes, my legs began to recover their movement and the feeling of the world moving around was vanishing from my sight. My ears noticed the Hitmonlee was standing up and with that I too tried; however as soon as the first attempt occurred the result was a feeling of dizziness and weakness, leaving me kneeling over the sand; at least I knew there was not going to be more water for now; if there was another similar situation, then the result was not going to be the best
“Are you alright?” He asked
“I….. I’m fine,” I said trying to recover from the feeling “And…. Thank you…..” The feeling disappeared and now I was able to detail my hero. He was semi-dry and that remind me I wanted to get rid of the water too; however once again those canine instincts invaded me and my body ended drying itself as a dog would do it. Then it hit me. My face got red as I faced the Hitmonlee that was giving me a strange look.
“S-sorry,” There was a laugh that drew in his face
“It’s fine, my name is Lee… I don’t think we have met before.” He was right and I was glad to hear my hero’s name
“I’m Hoom….” If just I had more strength to thank him in a more cheerful way…but then it was impossible for me at that time.
When we were finally up, a portal from nowhere opened up. There was a space in which we both doubted if we should get into it; however the portal seemed to have a strange property that attracted us to it, at the end we were literally sucked into it. I grabbed Lee’s arm as if it was the only thing that kept me in contact with reality and in fact, it was like that. The same sensation of being attacked from every direction repeated but the only thing that passed through my mind was something I had previously saw before being sucked.
Yes, Estelle, Lux and other two gijinkas were near there so why didn’t you say anything?
Lee probably noticed them too but…we were sucked into this so…
Just excuses right? You too noticed Lux’s vitality was very low and still didn’t do anything to help him…it seems you love him SO MUCH…
Shut up! I wouldn’t be of any help there, probably I would have been the same or more panicked than Estelle was…and…after all…
After all what?
After all…Lux is not going to give up that easily, he has someone to return to..
Really, you who couldn’t even protect him? HA!
“Hoom, could you release my arm? It began to hurt” Lee’s words snapped me out of the internal discussion I was having and let his arm go
“Sorry!...Where are we?” I asked looking around
“I don’t have any idea; however, I sense something familiar here…” He said also looking around. It appeared we were in a clear near a forest; everything looked peaceful until my nose caught two familiar scents. The first one appeared to be Melody and the second one shocked me, it was the familiar scent of blood.
“this combination can’t be good…” I said and seconds later I was running following the scents that came from the same place; I too noticed Lee was running by my side, he too have figured what was happening.
Finally we reached the destination and there was an ugly scene going on; the most disgusting thing was, what appeared to be, a pond full of blood; however Melody’s scent came from there.
In a sort of impulse I entered the pond; Lee yelled something but I was determined to look for her; if I was fast, then there was not going to be any problem. My eyes couldn’t open so the only thing I was able to do was looking for her with my hands. Several seconds later, when my reserve of air was going to end, my hands found something similar to a mudkip’s tail. I grabbed the body and swam as fast as I could reaching the surface; we were lucky to have Lee there because he nearly dragged us out of that nasty pond.
Something strange happened when we were at the grass again; from one moment to another, the blood changed into water and now Lee and I were looking at each other with confusion in our faces. Melody on the other hand seemed to be terrified.
Lee grabbed her by the shoulders and tried to make her open her eyes, but there wasn’t an answer. In the second attempt there was something different; as Lee shook her shoulders
“MELODY!!!!” I howled as loud as I could making Lee get surprised by it; however it worked and she finally opened her eyes in shock; tears began to roll down her cheeks and as my eyes saw Lee was doubting on what to do I hugged her tightly.
