Mear
"Um... Mear?" the shadow type Gijinka girl had said quietly as she ate across from the Smeargle Gijinka. Mear looked up from his food quietly and turned his head for a moment.
"Yeah?" he asked quietly unsure of what was being brought up, and yet the way that Shupple had said his name had brought Mear’s attention fully upwards. His eyes moved across her visage for a moment longer.
"Um.... You know what, just never mind....” Shupple answered forcing a laugh from herself as if trying to throw the situation out of context. The artist across from her blinked for a moment confused by this sudden switch of conversation. A part of Mear internally knew that there was something amiss, and yet he wanted to know what it was.
"What is it, Shupple?" The Smeargle Gijinka asked. However, Banette Gijinka just looked downwards and said nothing. Just after, Mear’s eyes moved away, and he wasn’t quite sure ehen why. He had wished in that moment that he hadn’t asked anything of the situation. Looking down to the sketchbook he had brought, the artist flipped it open somewhat haphazardly and started to draw a faint doodle of some strange visage or the sorts.
"Mhm...." Shupple answered as though it were the answer to the question. Mear said nothing for a moment as he continued to draw but came back into the conversation with his own ‘mhm’ and started drawing more detailed. The sounds of others moving through the area hit the Smeargle’s ears, and he turned his head around to view several Gijinka walking through the area. It suddenly reminded him that there were more people in the house than he had previously thought, and in that second moment, Mear wondered about those he had yet to meet. After another second, the Smeargle Gijinka sighed to himself realizing that this was a simple ploy of his mind to try and avoid what had happened between him and Shupple. There was a strange wall that had suddenly appeared as though a Mr. Mime had formed it in the few seconds that Mear had been looking away.
“I need to draw more,” Mear commented standing up after a moment. “I think I’ll go out towards the lake.” He breathed out and then stepped sideways a tad and forced a smile. “Want to come?” In all truths, the Smeargle part of Mear was working up inside him, and he wished more than anything to be alone with these strange thoughts that had started to work their way into his mind, and yet at the same time, almost as a double edge to this sword, the Smeargle Gijinka found himself also wanting to be around someone else. “If you have something else to do, I understand,” Mear annotated after another moment.
“Uh….” Shupple said as if unsure what to do. “Sure…” she said after another moment.
Mear nodded and waited as Shupple put her things away. After another moment, both of them were walking the steady way out towards the lake.
Lee
Lee’s eyes shifted from where Hoom had left for a moment and then let a breath out. Calm Mind would only keep its effects for a certain distance, and the Hitmonlee knew this. He also knew that Hoom was going towards something that was stressing her, and after another thought, he wondered whether or not it had to do with the thing she had run away from in the strange dream world. Looking at Kat and Sable, the karate master picked up his cup of tea. There was little he could do on the matter that he was outside of, and it would be a waste of emotion to try and force the matter. Those that needed to learn something would learn it when the time came. It had always been this way. “So how have you been?” Lee asked Kat as he put down his tea slowly again.
“Did you have the dream too?” Kat asked.
“Indeed, and I highly doubt it was a dream anymore,” the Hitmonlee answered back. Both Kat and Sable seemed to exchange looks from this and nod to each other. This action did not escape the notice of Lee, and yet he let it move onwards as if it had. “It was far too real… However, it did bring back the fact that I need to return to looking for Chan, Top, and Rogue.”
“Ah,” the Sableye said as though she had been thinking on this beforehand. “I have actually been looking into it a bit myself. However, I have yet to locate anyone yet.”
Lee gave a respectful nod at this. The Glameow Gijinka who appeared to be listening to her friend as well as keeping mid-grounds in the conversation nodded as though she had also confirmed this. Turning to Lee, Kat put her hands together for a moment. “We’ll find them I bet,” she said confidently, and with that, Lee once again found that Kat’s confidence was extremely admirable. He gave a light nod to this as well. “We’ll post flyers and look around and…..” the Glameow Gijinka seemed to realize that she had been caught up in her train of thought and quickly returned.
Someone entered the main kitchen, and the sound of it caused the Hitmonlee’s eyes to move over past Kat. A very distraught looking Lucario entered the kitchen with a very bale featured format. Recognizing the Lucario, Lee waited a moment silently. Kat had appeared to resume her sudden thoughts and was now putting her hand to her chin.
“Are you alright, Luis?” Lee asked as the Lucario came forwards towards the table.
The Lucario appeared to force somewhat of a façade smile after another moment. “The morning was not mine to capture,” Luis answered after a moment, and Lee nodded to this in the strange understanding that fighting pokemon shared.
“Would you like some tea? It would probably make you feel better,” Lee answered rising after a moment and walking towards the pot that still contained some water and things. Quickly brewing it, the Hitmonlee turned back to the Lucario and presented him with it. The Lucario appeared to take a motion of quiet thank you and then took a sip.
“I’ve got it!” Kat said suddenly causing Lee to turn his head back. However, just then, a Houndoom male seemed to burst through the room carrying what appeared to be a very tense Hoom. Lee’s eyes widened as the sudden sharp emotion penetrated his Calm Mind as it passed. Looking once to Luis then to Kat and Sable, the Hitmonlee bowed suddenly. “Forgive me but there is something that I must look into,” he said quickly rising again and moving off out of the kitchen. The male Houndoom had placed Hoom with what appeared to be a Vulpix Gijinka and had suddenly run off again. Hoom had curled into a ball and was now resting somewhat constrictively against the wall.
“What has happened?” Luis’s voice came from behind Lee. The Hitmonlee did not need to look over to know that the Lucario was looking at him from behind along with Kat and Sable. All three who had been suddenly thrown into confusion were now looking out from the side of the kitchen.
Lee looked over at Luis, and both fighting pokemon seemed to read the emotion that was radiating out of Hoom. It was a strange mix of anger, hurt, and something else that Lee could not put into words. The karate master approached with caution.
