The Will of Fate

Mear

"Hey... Mear?" Shupple's voice asked causing the Smeargle Gijinka to look up from the sketch that he was meditatively drawing of the water's contour. With a calm eye, Mear looked back at Shupple who appeared to be reflecting a look of extreme nervousness. Almost as though the wave had moved across him as well, Mear found himself fighting to keep his eyes upwards.

"I was wondering.... Do you remember... what I told you before I passed out... and we all entered the Twilight Zone... or something like that in the dream?" the Banette answered back, and Mear found himself looking down at his sketchbook once more.

"Not...... really..." Mear answered back shaking his head after another moment. "Why?" he asked looking back up at her in somewhat of a trademark visage of confusion. However, suddenly the images of the pictures that the Smeargle Gijinka had drawn before seemed to flood his mind. He may not have remembered the words, but the images were coming back in steady waves. She... said something..... Mear thought to himself as he looked down at the sketch he had just finished of the dipping water. "But.... I remember a feeling... and an image...." Mear turned his head to one side again and looked half upwards and half at Shupple. The light that was still dousing and reflecting off of the water gave the Smeargle Gijinka a strange mixture of calm handsomeness and sharp contrast. "Shupple...." Mear asked after another moment. "You mean a lot to me, too."
