Lee:
The Hitmonlee stared down somewhat somberly waiting for the Luxray to regain his composure that had faltered for a half second. A light breeze had encased the mountain sweeping sideways and upwards causing the hood on Lee's jacket to become adamantly playful against his head. However, the Hitmonlee's face was composed as always and written in a format of a patient teacher waiting for his student to recover from a blow. However calm the karate master appeared, he did not lower his guard. Lux stood straight upwards trying to compose himself once more, and once Lux had returned to himself, Lee gave a beckoning hand waiting to see more that could come from Lux. Lee understood the pride that had kept the Luxray from using electricity in the hand to hand combat and also understood his position being the stronger of the two by nature rather than by training. However, this did not discourage the Hitmonlee Gijinka but rather encouraged him to want to learn more of the Luxray. He wanted to see just how far Lux would go in this match, and for this, Lee would not hold back. It was as simple as that.
“Alright Lee, I see that I under estimated you, but should you really be underestimating me as well.” Lux smirked sharply as he seemed to charge himself with energy. Lee had half a second to think and was determining an electric attack. [So the Luxray was willing to go that far? Lee thought to himself. However, instead of using it as a full attack, Lux turned it into an indirect attack and slammed it into the ground causing it to fly upwards. Heh... his pride outweighs his electrical direct attacks, but he's smart enough to know how to use them to charge his body and turn them into indirect attacks. I applaud, Lux. Lee thought to himself before looking around in the dust that had soon consumed him. Raising his arm in order to avoid the dirt from his sight, Lee took a step back and then looked around once more. The Hitmonlee turned every which way looking through the dust, and it didn't occur to his thoughts at the time to calm and use his other senses to distinguish Lux from the surroundings. Lee himself was becoming too attached to the fight now, and he knew it only by the fraction of his calm nature that he was losing. “Where are you Lux?” Lee found his voice demanding outright despite the fact that it gave away his position to the one he had just demanded for. The time for pressing thoughts had shifted to a state of constant impulsion.
“Right here!” the Luxray yelled out as he rushed forwards bringing his fist tightly into a punch to the Hitmonlee who lacked recourse to block at the time. Lee was forced backwards, and instead of straining his muscles to catch himself, he allowed himself to go flying and lose much of the initial energy sent to him to be transferred into the kinetic energy only broken by the friction of air. However, unable to stop himself from crashing into the large bolder that acted as a barrier pillar on the mountain itself, Lee felt his bones meet with the course of quartz, and a pain vibrated out of him and mingled with the molecules of air. His strength is certainly something Lee thought to himself before forcing himself upright again crossing his legs and now waiting patiently for the dust to clear from the air around him. There was a steady pain starting to work its way through Lee's right lateral muscles. These tentative muscles were not usually subject to the rigorous activity that his legs had long since become accustomed to, yet Lee forced it out of his mind as he stared through the dust before it was finally distorted and brushed away by the calm and unblinded wind that continued to dance obliviously around the mountain rocks.
Lee put his hands on his knees and forced himself upwards standing tall once more with the darkened stare of seriousness that had moved onto his face. He was never zealous of a fight, yet he was becoming more serious on the matter of winning it. Standing sideways lean yet muscular, Lee stood solid for a few sharp seconds before rushing forwards using the fluidity of his own calf muscles to speed himself. Lux, appearing to understand that if he remained stationary, he would be easily taken down, made a sudden sharp move to charge as well in order to gain momentum. The blows that were exchanged appeared almost a dazed exertion of motion rather than a serious attack as each seemed to catch the other off guard. A punch had been fired, and Lee felt the solid muscled fingers at his jaw bone again, yet his foot was equally lodged into the stomach of Lux. Neither one moved for a half second as the momentum was lost and finally canceled out due to the direction of the attacks. Seizing Lux's arm in one fluid motion, Lee used it to throw the Luxray to the ground. However, acting with the sudden twist motion, Lux returned the attack with a full head butt causing Lee's hood to slide back and off entirely reveling brown hair to the wind. Both were serious. Both were powerful, and the attacks that were transpiring were controlled beyond the level of control that a normal fighter would have in the situations at hand. However, neither used any of their born pokemon moves. It had been an unsigned treaty between them, and neither one, due to the pride that had somehow brought them into the fight to begin with, was willing to upset the fight by distorting this careful balance. Rushing forwards, Lux twisted his body and used a sharp spinning kick. Seizing the Luxray's leg, Lee glared back. "Don't try kicking moves on me," he answered before twisting Lux's ankle and forcing him back. "Go back to something you can actually hit me with."
"Hah, getting cocky again?" Lux half smirked forcing himself to readjust and stand fully again. Both rushed forwards again, and as Lee kicked, Lux kicked, and both found their feet met in the exact motion of air. The force that was projected gave Lee the opportunity to use it as a ground and force u p his other leg, but just as he did, it appeared as though Lux had mimicked the notion. Both kicked each other's legs upwards as if they were running up an unseen wall before finally both kicked away completely and were forced back to their respective places on the mountain.
Kicking off on a bolder on his side of the mountain, Lux moved forwards again with a punch aimed at Lee, but the master blocked with a crossing of arms and made a sharp kick towards the Luxray's ribs. However, with a sharp twist of himself, Lux managed to avoid the kick. Both forced each other back again. The blocking and attacking were like a series of steps in a beat unheard and a time measure unknown. The only thing one could be sure of was that the two appeared almost as mirrors to one another as each read the others move and countered with a defensive strategy in order to combat the other. Time moved as a preacher across the sky in a slow but with a very well progressed notion until almost as though it were struck by a child in the pews, it froze to watch the fight suddenly intensify once more.
Lux, who had been frequently looking for the openings to finish the fight that was becoming drawn out, had taken a shot that appeared as clear as day on Lee. However, as he swung his arm to punch, Lee seized Lux's arm causing the Luxray to flinch back. The step that had been taken had all but caused the Hitmonlee to sigh.
“What were you thinking? That I really would let you have that opening?” Lee half asked with his eyes narrowed through his brown hair that had all but become a mess around his face and shoulders. The Hitmonlee's fingers constricted on the Luxray's arm. Twisting with an easy motion, the Hitmonlee started to break at the Luxray's arm.
“Oh shit!” Lux all but roared, yet Lee didn't stop with the motion. Lux tried to pull away instinctively knowing that the karate master was about to punish him for taking such an obvious trek opening. “Let go damn it!” Lux roared swinging his other arm as if to try and break free of the grip before what the near future had all but already predicted. In the seconds after, the sound of a crack echoed in the air. Lux, tore away as if in shock, yet Lee's face remained dark. If he had been in any other state, the Hitmonlee would not have gone as far, but he had already given to the fight what would be his original nature for a different one. It was not a fight between a student and master. It was a fight between a master and master, and this Lee had unmistakeably accepted.
“You fight so obviously. I knew if I gave you that opening you would take it. I was two steps ahead of you.” Lee breathed outwards crossing his arms and keeping his face dark. He made no motion to return the hood back to his head but rather waited as though wondering when Lux would get up and attack once more. The guard would never be let down again when fighting one. This was Lee's understanding.
Lux stood with his back arched and one foot back as he leaned on the other and his one arm held his other one. As if understanding what Lee now perceived him as, Lux half smiled. “And do you really think I would let you break my arm if that easy Lee?”
Lee raised an eyebrow, but just as he did, a strange rippling effect went through his chest. A crack ran through his body, and the Hitmonlee found himself half kneeled on the ground as one hand seized his ribs. However, the Hitmonlee never broke eye contact and yet continued to talk breathing somewhat more in pain that he wanted to sound in. “When did you?”
“You were right I did fall for a trap, but I planned accordingly to it just in case. As I let you break my arm, I used my left hand to break all of your ribs with the power of the electro magnetic forces in your body. It was something that you can’t feel right away. “ Lux answered back as he continued to hold his other arm.
He ended up using electricity in the end... as expected from a master... all resources must be used... Well then.... A strange smile moved onto Lee's face even as he breathed and slowly returned to his face. “Well it looks like we are equal. I have broken ribs and you have a broken arm. I see you aren’t as obvious and rash as I thought.”
“Thank ya!” Lux half laughed back as he looked down at the ground. However, Lee was not finished with the fight until there was a clear victor. This was the way masters fought, and it aws not over. Moving at a quick step, Lee forced a kick forwards at Lux. The Luxray recoiled and dodged and used his own speed to run down the mountain and into the forest. Raising his eyebrow, the Hitmonlee stood for a few seconds before shaking his head. Waiting a half second, Lee smirked and started running off towards Lux using the agility in his legs to dash through the forest easily. A trail of blue being chased by brown could be seen overhead and appeared to confound many bird pokemon overhead who exchanged looks and continued flying. Suddenly, the sound of a crash echoed in the area. Lee continued through the brush heading for the sound. Suddenly seeing a person being thrown at him, Lee caught a strange Gijinka dressed in yellow and blue and set him down.
“Sorry man!” Lux's voice trailed back as he ran. Lee stared for a moment and then set the Manetric Gijinka on the ground.
“Are you alright?” Lee asked in a calm voice.
“Yeah I am," the Gijinka answered back.
“Alright well I will be off to find him.” Lee answered back turning once more and running after Lux. Catching up with him, the Hitmonlee saw the Luxray turn.
“LET’S END THIS!” Lux yelled out building electricity through his muscles.
Lee stopped and nodded in a calm fashion. There was no holding back now. The pokemon attacks would be used. They were appart of all Gijinka, and it was silly for two to hold back in such a way. Lee understood this and forced his leg muscles to tighten. He would use the kick. Lux attacked using a punch that changed direction at the last second while Lee took four twisting steps and used the momentum built from them to use a mega kick. Like a cannon, a sound exploded from the area, and pokemon in the area recoiled as if in fear of being trapped by some unknown attacker. Both men stood frozen in their attacks. Lee felt small shocks of electricity still moving through him in the seconds after the collision that had landed him in the cheek while Lux appeared to be all but recoiling from the kick to the chin. After the second passed, Lee felt his body arch back, and he fell straight back into the grass. Hearing Lux hit the grass as well, Lee half breathed out again.
The sound of feet running through the grass caused Lee to turn his head a bit. He caught sight of the Gijinka from earlier running towards the two as if in serious worry. “Hey you guys. Are you alright?” he asked bending down towards Lux and starting to shake him. Lee flinched as he forced himself up and into a sitting position. His hand moved up to his cheek half in pain half in tired acceptance.
“GAHHHH!!!”Lux's voice cried out nearly causing Lee to jump. “You bastard Lee, that last one hurt!” Lux complained. Lee blinked confused. Did he seriously just.... Lee blinked in another round of confusion. Suddenly feeling the effects smashing down on his body, Lee looked away.
“Oh shut up.” Lee growled back not ready to deal with a childish person that he had not taken Lux to be.“Take it like a man.”
"I DON"T WANNA!!!" Lux cried back making a sudden crying sound that all but strangely forced a laugh from Lee. After a moment, both parties of the fight were laughing in exchanged connotations of laugh. However, it was killed after a moment as Lee felt suddenly numb again and Lux went back to his pain.
The Gijinka before them blinked in confusion, and Lee was really beginning to wonder if he had met him before. It was strange... that he couldn't remember exactly at that point. Sighing and rubbing his temples, the Hitmonlee tried to clear his thoughts again. He had spent too much energy to use calm mind, and there was a strange want of tea growing in him that he would never admit to having. “Now I know I missed something.” Suddenly remembering that he had indeed met or rather at least heard the Gijinka's name, Lee turned his head to him and then forced himself upwards once more.
“It’s alright Sparks. Our sparring is done and I think both him and I had enough for one day.” Lee sighed to himself reaching one hand down to Lux who was still sitting down. "I think it would be wise if we go back now since the sun is setting.”
Lux retracted and gave back a glare as if not buying the fact that the match was officially over. "And how do I know this isn’t a trap Lee?” Lux answered back trying to crawl away from the situation entirely.
Lee retracted his arm for a moment and crossed them for a split second keeping his face somewhat obscure. However, a smile finally formed on his visage. “Trust me. It’s a draw between us.”
Lux blinked for a solid moment in confusion but then half turned his head and reformed with a cocky look on his visage as though he had won something. “I see a smile. Who know you were able to do such a thing,” he smirked before Lee reached down again and Lux grabbed his hand and being all but forced upwards again. Taking his arm and lifting him up, Lee started walking with Lux.
“Just because I tend to meditate more and appear calm does not mean I do not know how to smile,” Lee answered back as he started to stare off again. The fight had ended, and his normal demeanor had returned to his body once more. It had been a long time since he had fought in such a manner, yet Lee found himself craving a bit more of it.... despite the fact that his body hurt beyond the recourse of reason.
“Well, I didn’t think you had it in ya!” Lux half laughed back. “Anyways, I am starved so lets go back. Hey Sparks you coming?”
“Yeah I am!” Sparks answered back starting to walk with the two of them.
The Hitmonlee, the Luxray, and the Manetric began walking back to the mansion that way through the falling daylight. It was a slow trek back to the house to say the least. Several times, the group had to stop as Lee needed to stop and catch his breath once more. He was sure by the feeling running through him that there were at least three ribs cracked one of which had decided to make somewhat of a nuisance of itself and act as a weight on his lungs. However, after a brief rest, Lee was up on his feet again, and the three were off once more. Coming back to the mansion was strange.. Time had all but been ignorant of what had gone on as Gijinka had gone on with their daily lives. Lee sighed to himself as they all came to the door.
