“No…you’re not Lux… Then who are you?” Asked the Houndoom girl at the door. She only stood behind the door peeking her head.
Xio clearly understood she was not sure of his presence but if he was going to get closer to Lux he needed to play this off. He lowered his aura to make it none existent since he knew, his presence could be intimidating. He took a step forward into the light that was above the door.
"Pardon me miss, but I am lost and was looking for someone. I apologize for causing any inconvenience but I am looking for my brother, Lux. From what you said, he is still here correct? By god, please tell me he is here?" His voice expressed his concern for Lux, but that was part of his own trick.
"Wait?!? Did you say brother!?!" The Houndoom asked surprised as she swung the door right open. But her surprised disappeared as quickly as it came. She brought one of her hands to her chin and began to think. "But I was pretty sure he didn't have a brother. I thought he was an only child."
Xio began to laugh. "Please excuse me, I should have said it differently. We aren't blood related brothers, but he and I grew up together in the same village before it was destroyed 15 years ago. I haven't seen him since than." He gave out a sigh and rubbed the back of his head. "I haven't seen him since than, to be perfectly honest, I thought he has been dead for all these years and recently I heard news of a Luxray like him competing in a show and doing very well. When I heard about it, I came to find out more and found out that it was Lux."
"Really?! That's...well...wow. I mean, Lux has been always been..." She froze up. The feeling of what happened earlier that day came back to her. It felt bitter and she stopped.
"I'm sorry, did he hurt you in anyway?" Xio asked gently touching her cheek and taking a step towards her. "Such a beautiful woman like yourself shouldn't ever feel that way. Actually, you are more beautiful than any woman I have ever seen before I mean it." He lifted her hand and gave her a small kiss.
Hoom began to blush insanely. "That...that is so sweet of you, nevertheless, Lux is a wonderful guy. He really means a lot to me. But you didn't even tell me your name. My name is Hoom, it's nice to meet you." She smiled as she went back to normal.
"Oh where are my manners? My name my dear is Xio, I am also a Luxray as well. It's a pleasure to meet you." He replied as he bowed in front of her. His bow was that one that looked royalty. His manners, his attitude, his posture, all of them were perfect, like a prince.
"Hey Hoom! Who's at the door?" A young males voice came off in the distance. It was another Houndoom and a Glaceon. "What the Lux?" Suddenly, the young Houndoom bolted towards Xio with a flamethrower attack right in his claws. "TAKE THIS LUX!!!" He yelled as he attacked the man.
"WAIT HON!" Yelled the Glaceon as he reached out at the Houndoom, but it was too late.
Xio grabbed Hoom and held her close to his side and caught the flamethrower attack with one-hand, inches from his face. As Hon looked into Xio's face, his expression changed as he jumped back from this man.
"You...you aren't Lux?" He startled taking a few steps back. The Glaceon came up from behind and stood next to him. "I'm so sorry man, I thought you were Lux."
Xio released Hoom and looked back at the two new males in front of him. Xio only smiled and shrugged. "Its alright. Did something happen between you too?"
Hoom quickly walked over to Hon and punched him on the head. "Dummy, I thought we talked about you not being so impulsive?" She gave him a slight growl.
"Sorry sis!" He moaned bending his knees holding his giant bump on his head.
As the two Houndooms began to argue a bit, the Glaceon walked over to Xio with a hand extended.
"I am very new here but name is Gil. I am assuming you came from far since you look a bit tired." He calmly remarked and he and Xio shook hands. "You might find yourself becoming a guest here for awhile. I am not so sure about this place either but maybe a few days here won't hurt. Beside's it’s free anyway."
"Free is always good!" Xio chuckled releasing the hand of Gil and putting one hand on his hip and the other in his side pocket. "Yeah that does sound good, you see I have had a rough trip coming here. I was attacked in the city and in the forest, I'm starving, and obviously, I am a bit dirty. Any help I could get would be great my friend."
The some woman's voice came over the load speaker telling all of the Gijinka's to join the meeting room as soon as possible. From the way it sounded, she was not in a pleasant mood. Xio was cleaning his ears as she screamed, Gil's hair stood up in shock, Hon cried, and Hoom was dizzy from the screaming.
"My apologies if I seem rude, but is she always that demanding?" Xio asked looking at the speaker. "She shouldn't be like that, she will never attract any males like that."
Hoom laughed and walked over to the door and shut it. "Yeah, well that's Lupe for you. She's our leader. She is also a Lopunny as well."
A Lopunny? Xio thought to himself.
She walked up to Xio and gently reached her hand out to Xio. "Xio, you are more than welcome to join us and I believe that everyone would love to meet you, and Lux would be thrilled to see you again."
"Yes, he will be thrilled won't he?" Smiled the Luxray tilting his head and putting his hand in hers and she lead the way.
"Alright guys let's go." Hon said pointing down the hall.
All four of them began to walk down the hallway. Hoom was giving a little of a detour to Gil and Xio as they walked. She explained to them what the mansion was, what the rules were, and how many gijinkas were there. As she continued, and Gil walked up ahead of her, Xio kept his hands in his pockets as he observed the area, but Hon slowly began to walk and began walking the same pace as Xio.
"My name is Hon since we haven't formally met. I'm Hoom little brother." He expressed as he continued walking.
"It's cool dude." He showed his knuckles to Hon and they pumped fists both giving each a smile.
After a few moments, they had reached the meeting room and Hoom entered with Hon at her side and she went inside. Gil walked over to a coach and sat beside another gijinka girl, who appeared to be a Banette. He sat next to her, crossed his arms and his legs and sat there very patient. Once Xio entered, he got a few strange looks and a few others whispered.
Tsk. What the hell did that bastard do here? Xio thought to himself as he walked over to a wall behind all the others. It doesn't matter, so far so good. I am already trusted and I am already here. I just have to keep this up a bit longer and...
"Here." Hoom said as she handed him a glass of red punch. "You look like you need one plus its tasty." She gave off a giggle.
"You really are cute sweetheart." Xio chuckled as he began to drink it.
"Why thank you! You really are too nice!" She smiled. "If there is anything else I can help you with please don't be afraid to ask. I am going to go and sit with my brother."
"Go ahead, I understand." He smiled looking at her and leaning against the wall. "I will."
She smiled and went to sit next to Hon. He put his glass down on a side of a table as he stood in the shadow of the room. More gijinkas entered the room, a Zangoose, an Espeon, a Himonlee, and many more. Even the Lopunny entered, which got Xio's attention. Her scent seemed familiar but she was sort of annoyed looking. Xio only shook his head because it seemed he was probably mistaken. No Lux came in, but it was only due time. A small smirk grew on his face with cunning eyes as he stood looking out the window. The Lopunny took the middle of the room while everyone sat before her. She began talking as he listened to her speak as he awaited for Lux to enter.
