In short since Lupe had been starting to talk to everyone, Mear and I were conversing quietly as she talked. I guess I couldn't help but smile towards Mear. I was happy that I was with him... and in a sense, we were a couple... which made me blush just a little.
Questions came to mind, but I tried to push them to the back of my mind, but one stayed forward. Why did Mear like me? I mean, I know I shouldn't probably inquire or anything of the sort, but I just couldn't help but wonder it. I mean... nobody ever really liked me before and I guess I just couldn't help but inquire more and more inside my head.
Still nervous about the whole ordeal of me even asking the question, I practically stuttered it out.
"H-Hey, Mear... I-I was wondering... W-Why do you like me?" I asked while blushing out embarrassment just a little but Mear looked up like he never even heard me.
"What?" Mear asked. He sounded like he was completely out of it, and that he was probably thinking about something other than the conversation. I blushed red out of embarrassment that I even asked the question. "Sorry... I was thinking on something...." I just nodded to myself, embarrassed that I took Mear out of his thoughts.
"Oh... it's fine then...." I started out. "I was just....." And then I fell silent again and shook my head. It didn't matter now...
Mear tried to inquire more but I just shook off the question. I just twiddled my thumbs as he just sighed to himself and started to draw on his sketchpad. At the time, a Glacion sat down beside me and looked calm about it. Then most of the newbies were called up and he went up himself. I didn't mind it, but I just continued to twiddle my thumbs.
Finally taking to notice of what Mear was drawing, it seemed like he was drawing recreational stuff for everybody for outside, since there were more and more Gijinkas coming now to live here. I was seeing that he was drawing a pool, a baseball diamond, a tennis court, and even a few more stuff that I didn't recognize yet.
"What about a volleyball court?" I asked Mear, and I seemed to startle him as I did ask this.
"What?" Mear asked, still oblivious to all that I just asked.
"I said, what about a volleyball court? A lot of people like to play volleyball and everything," I told Mear quietly as my hand moved up to the necklace Mear gave me and I just started to move it around on my neck with a slight blush on me. "Just trying to help," I mumbled.
I guess I couldn't help but want to help Mear and spend time with him, since I did like him and all... and that we were kind of a couple. I just started to point out where he should put things, and was happy because he was accepting the advice, and that I was able to spend a bit more time with him.
