I felt as though my throat were burning... I think I'm floating somewhere. I distinctly remember hearing a voice somewhere...
"Can't just leave him here right?" Movement. "Why don't you head in there, while I get him something to eat at the very least?" Footsteps. He's gone.
I felt myself floating again until I felt a prescence. Ugh... I know I'm somewhere, but I can't move...! I heard a female voice, "What is this gijinka doing here...?" and felt a hand on my forehead. Not too long after, another pair of footsteps came back. The two prescences started to talk to each other. The female asked the other one what was wrong with me.
"Oh crap!" I think it was Lux... He forgot I was here, didn't he...? Jerk...
I felt something trickle down my throat. Water... The burning went away and I felt less like I was floating. I felt something on my face. Someone's poking me... Am I just here for someone amusement...?! My breathing became easier, but my stomache really cramped up. Master always used to scold me in the past to make sure I ate properly. Master... I felt tears begin to come to my eyes, when all of a sudden I was drenched with something.
"Gah...!!" I woke with a start. "What?! Who?! Where?! I didn't do it, Master!!"
I looked around me and remembered where I was... But what the heck...? I found Lux and another gijinka smirking at me.
"Why am I wet...?" I asked, trying to understand just what the hell was going on.
"Dude.." Lux poked my cheek, looking annoyed. "I poured water into your mouth to hydrate you and all you could do was snore. What kind of thank you is that?" I looked at him like he was crazy. Thank you...?! How is someone passed out suppoed to thank you...?! He sighed and pulled something out of his pocket. Apples. My attention perked, but I still didn't feel too keen on this guy, after all. "Here, eat these so you can at least have something in your stomach," he said.
I was hungry, but I wasn't sure I wanted anything from him... but I remember that Master always told me to be courteous to people who offer you food. "Ah... thank you," I said as I took an apple. I examine it to make sure it wasn't drugged or anything.
I heard a giggle from the other gijinka, "Don't be shy. It isn't poisonous like in Snow White's case..." It was an Espeon gijinka. A female. I hadn't noticed too much because I was more focused on keeping wary of Lux and she was wearing sweats. My eyes widened as I looked at her. Looking past the baggy clothing, she was actually quite attractive. I felt my face flush a little. Then Lux bonked me on the head.
"Hey buddy, don't go getting any ideas, now. Got it?" he said defensively.
Was this Espeon his mate? I'm not one to go after other people's women, at least not if I don't think it's worth it. Besides, the grumbling in my stomache sorely brought my attention back to the apple. I nodded to let him know I heard, but I wasn't going to answer. He rubs me the wrong way, but I'll be gracious for the fact that he's giving me food. I took a bite of the apple and my eyes glazed over. I love fruit, but apple's happen to be one of my favorites next to Oran berries. I started to devour the apple I had in my hand and moved onto the next. As I licked my fingers clean, the Espeon directed her attention to me and extended a hand.
"You look tired," she said. "You should come in, since there is air-conditioning and soft furniture. Just relax for a bit and maybe you might like it here, too."
It was a nice change of pace to meet a polite female. Something pulled at my heart as I remembered Master. She told me to be courteous in accepting hospitality as well. For her sake, I should remember my manners.
"Well, I have no plans of staying here since I was looking for directions but since you put it that way, I appreciate your hospitality," I said as I got up, feeling more energy after eating. "My name is Aberius, but my friends call me Abbie for short." I had few, but they all called me Abbie. I'd gotten used to it, but I didn't used to like it for a specific reason...
"Abbie?" Lux snickered. "Isn't that a girl's name...?"
This jerk! I scowled. He hit the nail on the head with one of my pet peeves. I wanted to punch him in the mouth and was about to start something with him, but the Espeon began to speak again.
"Abbie huh? Sounds really cute. It's nice to meet you sweetie, my name is Estelle and I am an Espeon as you can see, but usually I wear much cuter things like skirts and such too...." she said smiling warmly.
"Flaunt off your boobs..." Lux answered turning away. Estelle hit him on the head for that remark. Heh... I like this girl.
"Nevermind him..." she said looking back at me, "I hope you might like it here. Please come in and join us."
"Sol...thank you," her warm nature was somewhat infectious and I smiled as I responded.
Me, smiling...? That's weird... I don't usually show that sort of emotion... She must have some special calming effect. I mused. Though I'd much rather be out looking for Master, I can't get much done in my current condition. I need to know where I'm going and I'll need supplies as well. Staying here for a small while might be in my best interest, much as I'd hate to admit it. I sighed. I heard Estelle and Lux talking about something and saw Lux start to get really tense again. He looked like he was was about to explode in anger. I wondered if my prescence wasn't actually a bad thing.
"You okay, Lux?" I asked, feeling the air. He looked like he could rip someone to shreds, but also looked fearful. "Is it because I'm an Absol?" Prejudiced, maybe?
"That's got nothing to do with it," Lux half-answered me and went back to demanding information from Estelle. Maybe there's someone else here putting him on edge... That's when I felt a prescence come up behind me. I felt a cold chill go down my spine. I turned around and saw something fly past my face and towards Lux's throat.
"GET YOU ASSES IN HERE!!!! YOU'RE LATE LUX!!!" she yelled furiously, then threw him into the next room.
It was a Lopunny. I've only seen one before, but HOLY SHIZZRA...! Look at those curves!!! my face flushed. Despite the face that she was well-built, she looked like she was out for blood. My instincts told me I didn't want to mess with her right then and I walked into the room with Estelle close behind. She sat down and I did the same. Then she came over to me and looked at me seriously.
"Didn't you hear the announcement I just made? All new people need to get up front and introduce themselves!" she said, then grabbed me and threw me to the front of the room. I landed next to a particularly jittery looking gijinka and coughed.
Geez... that Lopunny's crazy...! I thought as I stood up and looked at the crowd. I'm in a bigger fix than I thought, so I guess I'll just have to play along...
~*~ I'm ending this here for the moment because, frankly, it was long enough and it's rather late XD;; I'll post Abbie's introduction after a few of the other new gijinka introduce themselves. Also Iru-san, I changed the last word in that statement from "mommy" to "master." Abbie's mother died at childbirth, so the closest thing he had who he admires most was his trainer. Kay well let's see what happens next X3 Ja na~*~
