~*~ Okay, Imma post again so that someone can find Roka-chan. XD And that someone shall be Abbie! XD ~*~
Aberius
I felt the hunger pangs get worse. Grabbing my stomach, I stood up and turned to Gil.
"Sorry, but I can't wait much longer to eat... I think I'll sneak out and find something," I said to him.
"Don't get caught," Gil said, "If Lupe finds you, we'll all be having Cream of Aberius soup, tonight."
I cringed at the thought of being made into dinner, "I'm only an appetitzer? Couldn't I be Abs Wellington, or something?"
Gil laughed and covered his face with his hand and waved me away with the other one, signaling that I should hurry and eat before I get caught. I made my way through the crowd trying not to be seen. I had made it to the door we came in through and thought I was home free, until...
"HEY!!" the Lopunny shouted. I froze in place. Have I been found out...? "Do you all want to go to the festival or not?!"
My shoulders relaxed. She was only trying to get people's attention... I finally made it to the door and noticed it had been left open. Looks like I'm not the only one who had this idea... I slipped through, unnoticed, since the gijinka by the door were taller than I was. I frowned feeling old grudges about my height come back to the surface. Shaking that off, I followed my nose to the source of the smell of food. I eventually found the kitchen... although it looked like it was hit by a typhoon.
Gosh, who did all this...? Is there even any food left? I looked around and spotted some apples and bananas on a counter. I munched down a couple of apples and scarfed down a banana. Thank goodness they had bananas... I lov apples, but they don't stay on the stomache very long. This should last me a bit longer. I walked out of the kitchen and decided to make my way back to the meeting when a foul smell hit my nose. Smoke...? Why is there smoke here? It wasn't there, before... I followed the scent until it got stronger... I found myself facing a gijinka standing there alone.
"Oh that's brilliant!" she said. "Now I'm lost!" She crossed her arms and thought. "Probably not..." she walked toward a window, checking the distance. "Maybe I can jump out...?"
Is she serious...? I spoke up, "Or maybe you could use the door."
The gijinka turned around shocked at first. Then she smiled, "Well, I'm glad to see this place isn't empty."
I snickered. She's a bit odd, isn't she? "Everyone is just in a meeting now..." I tilted my head to one side, examining her, "Wait, I don't remember seeing you there..."
She shook her head, "No, I just kinda let myself in." She smiled, "I'm Roka, by the way. Who are you?"
I nodded my head, "Aberius. I figured you must've come in on your own, or you wouldn't be lost. I'm just got here myself... actually, just passing through, but I happened to meet someone who escorted me to the main room. There's a meeting going on, that's why you havn't seen anyone."
She looked at me strangely, "If you're new here, how did you find me so easily?"
I tapped my nose and started walking back, "I smelled you..." I wrinkled my nose after lowering my hand, "You shouldn't smoke, though. It smells awful. Not to mention you're only shortening your lifespan."
Roka pouted and glared as she followed, "You sound just like my brother... I don't have to give up my smokes... I just have to make sure he doesn't catch me..."
I shook my head, "A woman is most beautiful when she takes care of herself and is natural. Smoking is going to take it's toll on you, one day. Guys don't like girls who smoke."
She really looked angry, then, but her cheeks were red, "Well excuuuse me! I don't need a boyfriend, I only need Luke." Roka stomped ahead. Luke? Is that supposed to be her brother? What kind of relationsihp do they have... I grimaced and noticed Roka was heading in the opposite direction of where the meeting was.
"H-Hey!" I said, reaching for her wrist. She pulled away looking somewhat shocked and disgusted and tripped in the process, taking me with her. I turned my body so that I would take the brunt of the fall.
"Ouch..." Roka said, rubbing her head, "What'd you do that, for?"
"I was just trying to tell you that you were going the wrong way..." I rubbed my head. Roka was still lying on me. "Uh, you can get up, you know...?"
Raising to her hands and knees, she realized what position she was in and quickly backed away. "Don't try anything funny!" she said, blushing slightly.
"Wouldn't dream of it..." I replied, rubbing my head. She glared at me for some reason. I sighed and stood up, offering my hand. "Shall we go to the meeting? I'm sure the leader of the house would want you to introduce yourself, too."
She looked at my hand as if it would bite and stood on her own, "I'm fine thanks... but lead the way since you can find it better."
I shrugged and we walked back toward the meeting hall.
~*~Okay! XD Abbie has rubbed Roka the wrong way a bit... If it's not completely right, let me know and I shall tweak it a bit. X3~*~
