Hoom and Gil? Really? I am not sure about this, I mean he is way to cold, and she is way to hot for him, literally.
“Guess I find another reason for staying at this mansion” Gil had muttered as I continued to listen to Lupe. But that phrase right there caught my attention, was he seriously hitting on her. I mean yeah in the last couple days, Hoom and I have had our ups and downs but don’t tell me I have another rival for Hoom. Geez.
Again, Hoom and Gil continued to bicker and within a few minutes you could see Gil finally giving into Hoom. She certainly has her way with words, and besides, she is a dog, don’t want to be her next chew toy.
“It is the first time a woman tells me what to do…” Gil Sighed as he shrugged standing up.
“That means you just met her bossy facet.” I couldn’t help but laugh at him.
Lupe, told us about a festival, which was pretty interesting to say the least, and I had to agree that it might be a good chance for me and Hoom to finally have some alone time together and have some fun. She cleared us from the room telling us that we needed to meet for dinner in 2 hours.
The gijinkas quickly left, I stood up fast to see where Xio was because I wanted to know where he was going. But when I turned to the place he was standing, he was gone. Damn it, I lost him, and he dropped his energy level so being able to sense him would be hard and with so many different gijinkas joining this mansion, finding his sent would be even more difficult since I had that battle with Lee.
“Lux?” I heard Hoom ask. Her and Gil were looking at me strangely. “What do you plan on doing while we wait for supper?”
I looked at Gil, he seemed a bit irritated by the small talk and wanting to see his room. “Why don’t you show Gil his room or something. I am a bit dirty and need to take a shower to clean up. “
“Are you sure?” She gave me one of those adorable smiles.
“Yeah its cool.” I gave her a wink heading out of the room. “I’ll see you around, and Gil. Hands off buddy.”
He only gave me a smirk and I closed the door behind me. Leaving him with her wasn’t something I wanted to do, but at least she wasn’t alone since Xio was still somewhere around.
What I wanted to know was what he wanted and what he was doing there. Surely he has won the hearts of some and may be suspected by all. I guess, it was hard for me to believe that someone else from my clan survived. But why him? It’s been 15 years and he still gives me goose bumps on my skin. Thoughts of Team Galactic beating me half to death, because of him, my back was scared and I will always keep those horrid memories.
Before I knew it, I was already in my room, undressed and staring at myself in the mirror looking at my back. What more could Xio do? How powerful was he now? Could I beat him if need be? A legendary Pokémon trained me but will it be enough?
The warm shower water ran down my face. It felt relaxing but my arm was definitely still hurting and even with such a low pressure, the pain was coming back. I turned the shower off and stepped out grabbing a near by towel and wrapping it around my waist. I used my tail to help me because I found it really hard to even try holding it with one hand. God was weak without my other arm.
“Tsk, I don’t think I can handle being busted like this.” I mumbled to myself as I walked into my room. “Damn it, what a pain in the ass.”
I began going through some of my dresser looking for some shirts and such. I needed to hurry, I had already spent enough time taking a shower, and by now maybe Gil was already hitting on Hoom for all I knew. I had to hurry even if I had to deal with Lee’s damages. “But I gotta admit, he is pretty strong. It was about time I fight someone that is equal to me.”
“Oh really?” A dark voice came from behind me.
My head perked up as I stood there in front of my dresser.
“He’s that strong huh? I probably would have finished him off, but seeing that you are this beat up, maybe you aren’t worth my time.” He said.
“Tsk, don’t be so arrogant!” I growled and I clenched my fist. “You know I am not the same kid I used to be, I am much stronger. I could wipe the floor with your sorry ass…Xio.” I turned to him. I was already upset with him being here and now here he was in front of me sitting on the bed with that sly smile I remember so well.
“Big words Lux. But can you back them up? I wonder.” He snickered as he leaned back resting one hand behind him as he sat up while the other was on his lap.
“So what do you want Xio? Why are you here?” I asked leaning against the wall. “What are you planning?”
“Why be so suspicious of me Luxy boy!” He smiled.
“STOP IT!” My fist hit my dresser with extreme force. I guess I wasn’t paying attention to how strong it was because I put a dent in it, but that was the least of my problems. “You know I hate it when you call me that.”
“Ah, sorry Lux. My bad!” He began chuckle. WTF was so funny? “It’s just that old habits are so hard to break, you know?” One of his eyes closed while the other remained. He leaned over and put his hands together and rested his chin on it.
“Same old Xio, probably as bloodthirsty as ever.” I glared, just having him stare at me was starting to get to me. Why was it that he is the only thing that has ever scared me in battle? I need to stay strong.
“Bloodthirsty you say? I had my excitement a few hours ago. Besides, that’s the old me, I’ve changed for the greater good. Believe me…” He used a double team. Crap how did I fall for it, suddenly I felt the grip of a hand around my neck as I was slammed into the wall. “However, like I said ‘old habits are hard to break.’”
“Bastard!” I managed to say as he strangled me.
His grip tightened. “Luxy boy, I think it is best that you stay out of my business. I think it would be fun to catch up on our pasts, don’t cha think? You got some lovely women around here, some even caught my interest. Besides, it’s been awhile since I had some good hospitality.” He let go of my neck and turned to the door.
I caught my balance and I put my good arm on the wall as I gasped. “Like I really want to get to know you Xio, after what you did to me with Team Galactic! Do you honestly believe I would let that go. Let it be water under a bridge. Don’t be naïve Xio. I could never forgive you for that. Because of you, everyone is dead.”
Xio stopped at the door and held onto the knob. “But aren’t you to blame for being so weak back than…Lux?” He turned to face me once again, his eyes, were evil. I couldn’t help but shiver. What the hell was this feeling? Even in the other realm, I never felt this before. “Regardless, we have a common enemy Lux. Why not give it some time, get to know me and maybe possibly tagging up with me to defeat them once and for all. If you do that, than I will leave you in peace with all your friends in tact.”
He opened the door and vanished as it closed. “So that was your motive and reason for being here.” I muttered to myself. “But what did he mean by leaving my friends in tact.”
As I thought about it, I began to change. I knew Xio’s battle style from childhood, I doubt he has changed much because of the way he reacted towards me. He is bloodthirsty and when he was a Shinx, he would deliberately hurt the others just for fun, even if it was just a school lesson. But he was right about one thing, we did have a common enemy in Team Galactic, if I left, he and I could defeat them and go our separate ways, nevertheless the question remains, could I trust him. So the reason he was here was for him to gain my trust? He honestly still believes I’m stupid.
As I brushed my hair back after putting on a quick pair of black leather pants and a blue tank top, I noticed that supper was about to begin.
“Crap. I don’t need Lupe going on psycho bitch on me.” I moaned as I ran to check myself in the mirror. Xio’s grip marks were around my neck. A sigh came out and I noticed a scarf in my closet, it was black so what the hell. “Hopefully, I don’t look gay like this.” I wrapped it around my neck and hurried down to the dining hall.
Many were already sitting down, such as Xio. He gave me a hand gesture, which I ignored.
“Strange so we all have thrones and name tags on these things?” I whispered to myself.
“Lux! Over hear!” Hoom waved a she happily giggled. “You’re next to me, you lucky guy!”
“Score!” I laughed as I ran to sit next to her. “Do you happen to know what they are serving?” I asked her as I faced her.
But as I did that, she looked at me strangely. “I have never seen you wear a scarf before Lux.”
I admit I was embarrassed already, but I didn’t want her to worry either about me and my little incident with Xio. “Please don’t say I look gay Hoom!” I gasped as I hit my head on the table and hid.
“Oh no no no!” She panicked as she waved her hands in front of her. “It’s just different is all, I really do like it.” She quickly leaned over and gave me a quick peck on the cheek.
That perked me up. “Really, you think so?” I looked at her flustered.
“Yup!” She nodded. Her face was so adorable Just seeing her glowing like that was making me forget about what happened earlier.
“Alright everyone is here, well there is someone I like to introduce you too…” Lupe announced.
I did think it was odd that there was an extra seat between Hon and Hoom. Than a scent of someone new came to me, many of us looked at the door and as I stared I noticed Hoom become uneasy.
Some older man came entered the room. He was definitely up there in age, but he still was physically fit and looked strong. He was a Houndoom and sort of looked like an old version of Hon, hopefully the years won’t be so kind for Hon.
It was strange, I was sitting next to Hoom, there was an empty seat between her and Hon, and Melody sat next to Hon. What was going on?
“Good evening everyone.” He bowed as he stood in front of the table. “It’s a pleasure to meet all of you. I am Hoom and Hon’s father. Lupe has told me many good things about you and my children. I do hope I am not intruding.”
Wait? Hoom and Hon’s father. Melody and I sitting next to our significant other, which only means….he knows!!! O_O
Wait…that means he will shoot me because that is his little girl which means, I am a dead man because he is….”DADDY!!” I yelped. Yup, I am doomed.
