~*~ Oh gosh, things have gotten so hectic! XD;; Oh and... c(='. '=c)~ Kitty Kirby returns the hug X3~*~

Aberius

"Um... Okay..." the Flareon said so timidly I barely caught it. He stepped out from behind the tree cautiously. I thought I had smelled it earlier, but as he did the wind carried the scent of fresh blood as he held his arm, wincing.

"What happened?" I asked looking him in the eye, then back down to the arm. "You bleeding very badly..."

"I..." he stuttered as he lowered his head and looked at his arm out of the corner of his eye, "I fell.... a-and....dislocated... m-my shoulder." I walked toward him to try to get a better look at it and he stepped back, looking like a trapped creature. He swallowed and spoke again, "A...and also... got a-a-a.... very l-large...gash on it... too....."

I stopped. He seemed to be extremely wary and frightened of me. I took a breath and looked him dead in the eye, "... Mind if I take a look at it?" He nodded slowly, yet sligthly unsure, and I moved the sleeve from his arm. It looked pretty mangled and the arm was indeed hanging irregularly from the shoulder socket. Gosh, this kid is like a magnet for trouble and pain... He's making me feel extremely bad, here... "Hmm..." I said, sighing, "I know how to relocate your shoulder, but it will be pretty painful. I'll make you a sling afterwards. Would you like me to help you?"

His eyes widened in a "Wtf? I don't want that!" kind of manner as the gears turned in his head. It seemed like he finally decided that treating it then would be for the best, "Y-yes. Y-you... can..."

I nodded and positioned myself while setting him down and grabbing his arm. He winced a bit at the touch. "That bad, huh?" I said. He nodded as tears began to form in his eyes. "Okay, well here we go. Just relax yourself." I raised his arm slightly to prepare for relocating it. "On the count of three." He nodded and braced for pain, a tear beginning to overflow. "One... Two... Three!" I pushed the shoulder back into the socket, trying to be carful of the gash. It popped back into place and the boy yelped in pain. More tears fell down his face and his breathing picked up, trying to calm himself.

"Alright, it back in. You should be fine now..." I said backing away. He nodded his face and wiped his face with hi good arm. I rummaged in my jacket pocket for the large scarf I keep in case of emergencies like this. "Okay, I'm going to put you in a sling, now," I said as I moved his arm carefully and tied the scark around his neck, making sure the arm was positioned properly. I sat back and wiped my forehead. "On the bright side, at least it wasn't your dominant arm... You are right-handed, right...?" I asked looking at him. His breathing started to get back to normal and he nodded, sweating a bit. I handed him a handkerchief I kept in another pocket, "Here."

He took it hesistantly, but graciously, and smiled a tiny smile. "Th... th-thank you..." he said as he dabbed away some of the sweat.

My stomache was telling me I needed to eat something, and I grabbed a piece of wood from the tree nearby and began to carve it with my scratch attack gloves into the shape of a spoon. I glance at the flareon who was staring at me. I sighed a bit. What is it about this kid that makes me feel like a mother hen...? I rubbed my forehead and sighed again, "So, what's your name, kid? You keep running into trouble, don't you?" I frowned slightly.

He looked a bit ashamed, but still answered, "I... I-I'm Moyasu... S-sorry..."

"What're you apologizing for? You didn't do anything to me," I said as I examined the spoon in my hand, rubbing it with a stone to smooth out the splinters. When I decided it was good enough, I scooped out some stew with the bowl, then poured it back in. Moyasu looked at me wondering what I was doing. I reached over to pick up the rosemary I got earlier and crumbled it in the pot, stirring it with the spoon. "I forgot the last ingredient," I said to him and he made an "O" face. "I'm Aberius, by the way."

Moyasu nodded and looked at the the pot, smelling the fragrance coming from the now complete meal. I scooped out some and began eating it. Looking over at him I asked, "Do you want some?" He looked at me, then at the pot, then down at his stomache as he rubbed it. He might've been full already from the dinner inside. I carved another spoon quickly and handed it to him. He looked at it then said "You're really g-good at this sort of thing..."

I shrugged, "I had to learn some thing's to survive... but thanks." Moyasu dipped the spoon into the pot and tried it. He smiled and looked at me. I handed him the other bowl I'd made earlier and he took it and had a bowl for himself. I sat there and helped myself to another bowl, making sure to fill myself up. Then I heard explosions and yelling coming from the direction of the mansion. I stood up and Moyasu jumped a little. Damn it! Why hadn't I heard anything sooner? Looking through the trees, I saw a pack of Houndooms and a couple of Houndours all fighting in separate battles. I grabbed the pot of stew and gulped down the scalding broth to make sure I didn't leave anything and blew out the fire. Damn... I can't do anything with the kid around here... He doesn't look like he'd be up for a fight...

"Moyasu," I said, turning to him and he looked up at me scared, "It looks like theres trouble near the mansion. Get on my back, we should get away from here." Moyasu hesitated, but I lifted him up and put him on my back before he could decide. Now wasn't the time to be slow. He yelped and shook a little bit, but held on with his good arm. Making sure he wasn't going to fall I ran through the forest, taking care to avoid the battles, back toward the mansion where I could find him some shelter. "Damn it!" I swore aloud.

Damn it...! Damn it all... Why does something like this have to happen now of all times?! Damn, I don't need this shit... But first things first, I should make sure Moyasu is away from the danger... Gah, I don't even understand how I got caught up in all this! But I'm not gonna punk out and just leave him behind. I just hope we don't run into any trouble...

~*~ GAH!!! Oh noes! XD It's not as action-packed as everything else going on, but I decided it would be better if Aberius avoid the battle for Moyakkun's sake for now =<_<;= After all, he's injured, so he should see a doctor X3 Time to go meet Zaishi-san! XD Yayz~ Okie doke, let me know if there's anything I messed up on X3~*~
