Aberius
I sat there next to the large Houndoom as everyone else headed toward the mansion.
I always tend to get wrapped up in these things, don't I...? I thought to myself. I guess somehow or another maybe I can't stand someone else get picked on...? Ah, that can't be right... I shook my head.
Looking around, I saw some of the damage that the previous battle had inflicted. The smell of blood was strong and I could feel my eyes growing hotter. I'm not gonna let this get to me. I could smell burning forest a small ways away... smelled like electric discharge, so that must've been where the two Luxrays had fought. Suddenly, after scanning the perimiter for different scents, I caught a large group moving towards the mansion. Guess it's time, huh? There's quite a few of them... it'd be troublesome to take care of them entirely by myself... I haven't slept for a day. I sighed and scratched the backof my head, then decided it would be best to let the tohers inside know just in case.
I inhaled deeply and yelled out, "They're here!" Inhaling again, I felt my throat become a bit dry. I'll need a drink of water after this... I cracked my arms and stretched to get ready. Soon, Gil appeared at my left side.
"So how many are there?" he asked.
"I'd have to say about 50-60," I replied. Looks like I'll sleep deeply tonight.
"2 versus 60, right?" Gil crouched slightly in an attack position. He let out a little cool breeze, "I like those numbers."
What? I thought. He seems less and less like the easy going guy I thought... I thought he would've been a bit more lazy...
"Are you joking?" I said, and shivered slightly because the breeze around him was starting to swirl a bit. This guy is amusing, to say the least.
"Sorry to change that information, but I'm going to join!" said a voice from above. Don't tell me... Sure enough, big-headed Lux and the other Luxray, Xio, appeared on my right. "Were you going to leave me behind? I already finished the other work, now what?”
Gah... I stared absentmindedly Why on Earth does he have to show up? It's bad enough he had to spill water on me, but now he wants to hone in on my prey? I haven't had a decent workout barring starving for the past week! I grumbled. A hunter came at me and I dodged. Huh, rude... I haven't finished thinking yet, what's wrong with him? Is the world filled with jerks nowadays?! I swear if one of these hunters comments on how I'm too short to be fighting I'm just gonna lose it!
Suddenly, Gil knocked the hunter that was coming after me out. "Hm, let me recall... You said you were going to take care of them, right?" I stuck out my chin. Tch, I didn't ask for anyone to take him out... I was gonna do something once I finished... argh, whatever, dammit!
I sighed, still upset that Lux and Xio had honed in on the battle, "I still think the turn of events is strange..." I crossed my arms and exhaled, "but I guess there's nothing else that can be done, so..."
I launched myself into the nearest huddle of hunters. I work best when I'm surrounded by the enemy, as I can hit whoever I want.
"Hey guys, are we hunting bounty tonight?" I smirked at them with my hands in my pockets.
"Hey, what's this kid doing out here?" one of the hunters said.
"Who cares, just bag the shrimp... He's gotta be worth somethin..." another remarked.
Shrimp?! Oh that was it... "WHO YOU CALLIN A SHRIMP, YOU UGLY SONS A B****ES?!" I cracked two hunters heads together and they all stopped for a second, taken aback by the sudden change in the situation. Then they all rushed at me. Punching and kicking my way through, it felt good to get some action. These guys obviously weren't high class hunters. A group of them wised up a bit and formed a defensive formation. I wasn't gonna have that, as I prefer they all rush me at once. So I decided to use Taunt on them
"Tch, you guys call yourself hunters?" I said, with Taunt amplifying my words in their minds, "My grandmother could bag pokemon better than your sorry asses." I smirked. The hunters look enraged and started coming at me again. I'd have to say that Taunt is definitely my favorite ability thus far. I jumped in the air and took them all out with a spinning kick. Noticing that Gil, Lux, and Xio were all preparing themselves to use elemental attacks, I stepped off to the side a bit. However, some of the hunters were fleeing.
"Oh, we can't have that, now... If you go crying to Mommy, we'll have more trouble," I turned on my Taunt again. "Oy!" I shouted out to them and they stopped, "Where ya goin you low-bellied scum suckers?! Gonna go play with your dollies?"
A lot of them looked as though they might explode and rushed back towards us, and just in time for the other threes' attacks to merge and blow them away.
We were down to 15 hunters now and we all stepped in line, back to back. Before we could do anything, a huge blast came from another direction and wiped the remaining hunters out. We all looked over in the direction the blast came from and saw a raging Lopunny yelling about how we weren't going to save any hunters for her. Yikes... Lux went over and began arguing with her, as well as performing a little sexual harrassment. Ugh... I shook my head and exhaled.
"And now it's really over," I said.
"Umm, by the way, some of them took the old Houndoom from before..." Gil said. My stomach dropped. Aw, crap, I was supposed to be watching that guy... Shoulda fought closer to him... I wouldn't have mattered if he got stepped on a bit, since he seemed to have started the whole thing... Gil spoke again, "All of you are good fighters. We should train together some of these days..."
Is he thinking I'm just a kid or somethin...? I crossed my arms, "I'm old enough to take care of myself..."
"Really?" Gil said in response, "I haven't noticed that..."
I was about to deck him when he started chuckling. I knew he was joking with me, but still... This guy... I can't even figure him out... He must bbe crazy or something. Seeing his genuine smile I couldn't help but laugh along a bit. Soon, there was silence.
Gil shuffled a bit and looked at Lux, "By the way Lux, is not your girlfriend bleeding to death inside the mansion? It’s not like I care too much, but shouldn’t you be there with her?"
Lux looked utterly shocked as if he forgot the most important thing in the world and rushed off. Xio, too, disappeared somewhere. I was further confused about Gil's choice of words.
"Then, don’t you care about Hoom?" I asked, glancing at him sideways. "If you didn’t care why would you stop her bleeding?"
Gil looked somewhat surprised at my statement. He got up and smiled, "You got me... I was just giving those two some time alone."
Gil walked toward the mansion and others followed. The destruction in the area was even worse than before.
We may... have overdone it... But at least the threat seems to have passed. I'm too tired to ask about directions to the nearest town, so I'll bring it up tomorrow... if I feel like it.
~*~ OKAY! XD;; I'm up so late... X3 Fortunately, I don't have class on Mondays, but I still have to wake up at 7:15 am XD;; But yesh... The epic battle is now over! *collapses* Ab-kun got a little action tonight X3 But being having not slept for a day would really take a lot out of him, so he's gonna sleep well for the night X3 Lemme know if there's anything that needs fixin =3 Yaaay ~*~
