Hiro was surprised but then again I got another chance to meet a new giinka who’s name was Davis; what type of pokemon? I wasn’t sure but again, I didn’t have enough time to try and think since Rosie suddenly appeared behind me with a huge smile on her face.
“I simply wanted to tell you that I got my own room here; thank you Hoom-chan! I’ll make sure to show it it to you as soon as possible” I smiled back, realizing she was really going to stay.
“That’s great Rosie!” She then noticed Hiro and Davis behind me and quickly introduced herself in a gracious way.
“I think we haven’t been introduced yet, so, I’m Roselyn, nice to meet you. I hope you take care of me while I stay at this lovely place!” She bowed and finished the phrase with another smile; Hiro blushed and Davis still seemed confused, but over all, you could say things were returning to normal so it was fine.
We continued talking until another new scent entered the kitchen making all of us to turn to the new gijinka who just gave us a smile; he seemed nervous but if he was a gijinka, then I think he was welcomed.
"Who are you?" I walked to his position and talked trying to make him feel less nervous.
"My name's Tanner. I hope you don't mind that I intruded. I honestly didn't mean to. I was just looking for some information and something to eat," He sure was an interesting one, if I wasn’t wrong he was a tangrowth gijinka…yes definitely. His hair was unique, making me want to touch it but maybe later since it would be creepy to do it at the same type he arrived right?
My face turned to everyone "Is it alright with you guys?" For their reaction they seemed fine, still having a conversation between them, my face turned again to Tanner.
"Yay! Oh, I'm Hoom, by the way," I smiled as I held my hand out, maybe it was too formal? No, definitely formal is the best option when you are first meeting a person, it was something I had forgotten.
"It's nice to meet you, Hoom." He said finally stepping into the room. Since everyone else was having a conversation, maybe I could be some help to Tanner, because he said he was searching for information.
“Hmm you said you were hungry right? To tell you the truth I haven’t eaten anything yet so…mind if we get a solution for that first?” He chuckled from my comment but at the end agreed. As I searched for something to eat, our little conversation continued.
“What kind of information are you looking for? Maybe I can help” I said as I opened a gate that had some ramen packages inside it. “Is ramen good?”
“Ramen is perfect! And, yes I’m looking for a certain girl, her scent was around this place and thought she would be around here…” He spaced for some seconds then returned as I used a little flame to accelerate the instant ramen cooking.
“I see, so what kind of gijinka is she?” There were a lot of female gijinkas so it could be anyone…
“She is a Shuppet”
“You’re talking about Shupple?”
“You know her? Then is she really here?”
“Yes she is…but she is a Banette now…”
“Wait…did she evolve?” Tanner then was lost in his thoughts again, making it easy to me since the ramen was ready. It was served in two small bowls and then we began to eat.
“Tell you what? As soon as we finish eating we’ll search for her since it seems you really want to meet with her right?” He smiled and continued eating.
That’s when the strange and deep noises began.
“Those sounds…” Hon said turning his head trying to locate where they came of..
“Well, since we are currently fixing the mansion maybe is someone removing broken things? I think we shouldn’t worry about it”
“Yeah you’re probably right Sis…” Hopefully they didn’t noticed the sounds matched the steps of someone having a fight upstairs, the fact there haven’t been any damages in that zone of the mansion and the peculiar and familiar cold sensation that came from Gil…What was he up to? I wasn’t able to figure out who he was fighting with, yet it brought me a nasty feeling….
“Wait, so you two are siblings?” Tanner brought me back from my thoughts as Hon and my head tilted to a side
“Wasn’t it kind of obvious?” Hon said laughing “I’m Hon by the way”
“Oh and I’m Hiro; she is Davis and the Roselia over there is Roselyn” Hiro introduced himself as he searched for ingredients for a sandwich; Davis bowed and Rosie said she was sorry for not introducing herself before.
Tanner seemed surprised but it also seemed he was enjoying it.
The sounds begin to be louder and deeper; the cold feeling plus a dark one as well as the nasty one grew stronger and the worst part was that the chaos was heading just to our direction. In an attempt to appear calm, Hiro headed to the kitchen’s entrance with his sandwich and then was thrown like a sack of potatoes towards Gil and Abbie? What was going on?
Everyone felt the uneasy atmosphere and next thing I know is that Hon is standing next to me, also sensing the danger. We both got into an attack position which was erased as soon as we saw him; my body and my mind were two different beings at the moment since my body remembered the sensation and instantly shivered; my mind on the other hand was trying to figure it out
Who did this to you? I don’t want to see you like this again….i wasn’t able to do anything last time so….
The window was broken; the Luxray jumped through it, Hon hold me and it appears everyone had a dose of a thunder attack. Pieces of glass jumped everywhere and the impact got the best of Hiro, Gil and Abbie who were all blown up backwards, at least that is what my ears told me; currently the thoughts over my head were in disorder.
“Sis are you all right? Sis! You’re trembling…” Trembling? Really? Was that sensation that strong to make my body act on its own? My eyes turned to Hon who had some tiny wounds and pieces of glass buried in his arms but still was smiling; a smile that erased as soon as he saw my expression.
“I don’t know what happened to him either…Can you stand up?” He helped me doing it as the trembling continued; without knowing it I was placed in a chair somewhere in the kitchen. “Sis, you stay here, I’m gonna check out if someone else is hurt ok?”
There was a lot of dust and some chaos but my thoughts were focused on something else.
What’s the situation?
Lux returned to that state, the cause is unknown yet…And then he escapes…
He is wounded, there was blood
Right, besides is he leaving for sure?
A rush of a mix between, anger, sadness and anguish passed through me, finally letting me take a decision: I’m going to find out what really happened and bring you back Lux! However I somehow had to suppress those feeling in order to think coldly, like they taught me when crisis happened. First I had to take advantage over the chaos, disappearing in that situation was not going to bring many doubts, well just at the beginning….
Second, Lux was wounded and that probably was going to become worst if he truly had returned to that state and I had to confront him; yes that time it didn’t matter but I was going to make sure to involve the less members as possible; so if it turned the worst I too was going to be wounded; I needed someone who could use any curative moves…
Yes, it was dusty but Rosie’s scent was unique; I stood up from the chair, now calmed and serious with a blank expression trying to retain what I was truly feeling. My nose followed the scent until I found her, lucky me since she was in a dark and faraway place in the kitchen.
“Rosie?” I whispered
“Hoom-chan?”
“Shhh, talk in whispers ok?” We couldn’t see each other for the dust of the
thunder’s explosion but she understood at the moment.
“What happened?”
“I need your help with something…”
“From your tone of voice you are serious, so of course I will help you, just tell me.” She too begin to sound serious.
“Are you able to follow my scent easily?”
“I think so…”
“Ok, then I need you to do the following: follow my scent and search for me in one hour; also if possible, try to dissimulate the scents, can you do that? ”
Suddenly a rush of anxiety attacked me making me flinch but as I kept repeating the words “Keep calm, keep cold” it began to disappear.
“I will do that”
“Thank you Rosie, it seems I’ll be needing your curative moves soon…I should leave now”
“Hoom?”
“Be sure no one sees you ok?”
Those were my last words for the Roselia before exiting the mansion making sure no one saw me and rushing as fast as I could towards the forest.
A deep breath was enough to tell me things were going from bad to worse; I ran like a maniac following his scent; at first Lux scent was the only thing I could smell but then blood traces begin to come and the bloody scent was nasty cause it increased after a while…Then I tripped with a root of a tree and almost had a breakdown in the same place.
I was scared, couldn’t deny it, my thoughts were still disorganized and to tell you the truth I didn’t know what was coming next; however what I was sure of was the fact I had to keep going forward, not for my sake but his…I took the decision of following no matter the consequences; he owed me an explanation, just that; after it he could leave…
You’re lying, you know too well you can’t simply let him go…remember what occurred last time he decided to leave?
My mind was right, trying to apparent being strong was not enough; tears begin to gather in my eyes but then if it started no one was going to stop me.
Keep calm…Keep cold over the situation….Keep strong….
It was easy to repeat it but difficult to apply it when your body didn’t stop trembling
“I don’t have time to lose so cooperate you stupid body!!!” I yelled at myself standing up and running towards a tree; the clash between my horns and the log helped to neutralize the trembling for the time being.
My legs started running again but the scenario just kept on getting worse; more blood and several branches destroyed everywhere, plus, it was a sunny day…why the hell did bad things happened when it was sunny outside??!!! I hated it! But there was a good thing after all…The only blood was Lux’s, meaning with that he wasn’t attacking others or else there would be dead pokemon everywhere, that fact relieved me a little but then the panic came over when the blood traces changed. At first they were being separated for a certain distance, in other words Lux was running at that time but now, the distance between the blood traces was shorter and shorter until it was almost as if he was…walking in tranquility??
“What is going on Lux? What are you planning to do?...” the running kept as my mind tried to find an answer, which came pretty quickly as his scent suddenly became stronger; for a moment I thought I was going to find him there somewhere but it was the opposite…What I found was his shirt, ripped and bloody. “Why the hell did you take your shirt off? Where are you heading?” The familiar salty smell of the ocean arrived to my nose and then it was when I lose it. “No Lux….THERE’S NO WAY YOU’RE GOING TO DO THAT!!!!!” My legs kept running as fast as they could knowing they were tired already and that I wasn’t in the best state after what happened last night; but if I stopped then he would….I don’t want to even think about it.
A yell of pain was heard for the first time…I was near; as the distance shortened there was another yell sounding even louder.
“Please let me make in on time!!! Pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease!!!!!!”
But I was late.
Electric sparkles were around the air, blood was everywhere and I froze up when I saw his eyes…The eyes of a dead person, there wasn’t any mistake, I’ve had seen them so many times before…Now there wasn’t a way to control myself; tears begin to fell, the trembling came back, my body was frozen in place as I saw how the one I loved finished doing something that seconds later had sense.
MOVE! MOVE! MOVE YOU STUPID BODY!!!! IF HE FELLS IT WOULD BE OVER!!!!!!!!!
A rush of adrenaline let me commit my objective but
It wasn’t enough.
Movements were in slow motion; for a moment I thought my hand was going to reach him, but in the last seconds it wasn’t possible. The last image in my sight was his face, blood coming from his lips, he was crying but his smile was peaceful…

Yes, when everything seemed lost, his head turned to me and then his body began to fall from the cliff.
“you’re not dead yet, you’re not dead yet…..” the lesson that the brain dies within 3-5 minutes was clear on my mind….9 minutes and dead was sure if he remained underwater but still there were cases in which the person died and came to life again for unknown reasons and the brain could last at least one hour without oxygen before the damage was too far. As soon as Lux felt I took my boots off and took impulse; half of my mind was determined to jump, but my body and the other half were not thinking the same.
Before arriving to the edge, it froze up and then the splash was heard.
“SHIT! IT’S NOT THE BEST MOMENT TO REMEMBER ONE OF YOUR GREATEST FEARS IS TO DROWN HOOM!!! You need to move MOVE MOVE MOVE DAMN IT!!!!!! I need to take you out of the water!!!” There was no response but a phrase of Sahen helped me to fix the situation.
If you are paralyzed, use pain against it.
My eyes turned simultaneously from my claws to my legs and then the answer was pretty much obvious as I dug them on my thigh. The possibility to move reached me again and so I took impulse and then jumped without hesitation. That’s when the thoughts came.
You’re going to Die!!!

Yes! you are you’re going to drown
I said I’m not going to die!! Not before taking him to the shore!

The contact with the salty water made the wounds on my thigh sting like hell and my arm was cut by a sharp rock while I dived; my sight was blurry but my eyes captured Lux’s body and after swimming towards him, my arms were able to caught and embrace him; the only problem was that my state was so poor of strength that the water was already affecting me…Maybe I was actually going to drown, but then we could die together….death…wasn’t something that bad…
“What am I thinking!! The Hell I’m going to let you die like this! And the hell I’m going to die for you when I get the chance of living along you!”
That move…was one that I never learnt and for that reason it was going to turn into something very clumsy but at least it would help both of us to reach the surface in a quick way. If there was a way to recall it…yes…it was something that needed to be done no matter if my legs couldn’t handle it. My oxygen was gone but if I thought about it, it would become true.
“Extreme Speed!” Only few pokemon were able to do that move; my legs went numb but worked at our favor since the surface began to be near and near until we were finally out. The coughing for oxygen began as my arms held Lux; at the same time, my face turned to all the directions and saw the shore wasn’t that far away. My arms turned Lux to the other direction holding him as I had been taught when someone was drowning; Sahen was clever enough to teach me all of those things. My left hand held his neck with a lot of precaution and so I kept using the clumsy extreme speed to take us both to the shore.
“Lux, can you hear me?” I didn’t even want to look at him, if I did so then my hopes would go to waste.
“I don’t know if you can or not but I’ll keep on talking ok?…First…Why did you do this?...Maybe it really was my fault for not telling it to you…But then again, you owe me an explanation so promise me to do so when you wake up…” Tears continued falling and my voice cracked, the panting didn’t cease but still I continued; now it was more for my sake.
“If you do that then I too promise you something…You can’t die now…not before I told you how much I love you, not before I say those words every single day…*pant*…Not before I get the chance to tell you what I feel in front of you….*pant*” The water was cold, the panting was getting horribly worse and the fatigue…was far high and still increasing; we really needed to get out of the water soon.
“I really want to see your sweet smile again…did you know your smile can make me happy anytime? *pant* I want you to embrace me again…that you talk to me again…that we share time together so please…” The broke of crying began “d--- don’t die on me Lux….pl---please….”
My strength was so poor that I couldn’t even bark…How sad…Everything was coming to an end…Lux body…becoming cold…no..no no!!!! you can’t give up Hoom!
“Extreme speed!” That last one sent us flying into the shore; my feet didn’t recognized the sand before but the turn my body made, managed to support the weight of the Luxray’s body. “You’re heavy *pant* but your neck is in its place *pant*…Now CPR…Yes, CPR *Pant*” Thanks Lugia to Sahen for teaching me anything that had to do with drowning and stuff, he used to say it was important for me to learn all of those things since they were what I feared the most.
“Hoom? Lux? HOOM!LUX! What happened!!!!! Are you two all right??!!!! I’ll be there in a second!”
Who’s voice was that?
“Huh? You arrived quickly…. It doesn’t matter we need to hurry! Follow me”
My priority was to apply CPR at the moment, nothing more, the voices could wait. I had to crawl to his side because my legs were not moving and now the sand in the wounds made it worst. Fortunate enough, my arms turned his body in the correct position but as soon as his mouth was opened, blood begin to slipper through his face down to the neck.
It looks as if some of its organs exploded
If I apply CPR and am lucky enough then the situation is going to get worst rapidly and then he is going to die…
But if you don’t, he is going to die too!
“Let me check him up Hoom-chan” Someone had arrived to my side and there was another person near, but my entire self was so focused on the task that the procedure continued. “It seems like…his heart exploded?...No way” I was right not to apply CPR at that time but it was something we needed to do; I licked the blood on the borders of his mouth in order keep it away from interfering in the procedure.
“Try to regenerate his heart tissues with that move of yours; get the chance it’s sunny and while you do that, I’ll apply CPR ok?”
“Will it work?”
“We don’t have the time to think if it is going to work or not! Just start!” Rosie began with her move and told me it was the perfect chance to start the procedure, so without doubting it, I started blowing 4 large breaths of air then waited.
Nothing.
The second round started…Yet nothing, my panting got worse and now the one lacking oxygen was me. “I told you I wasn’t going to let you die baby *pant* so cooperate with me ok?”
I started the third round having an immense hope, but his chest wasn’t moving
“C’mon…c’mon c’mon c’mon c’mon c’mon work please!” Were there tears left? Why couldn’t I stop sobbing? Hopeless.
“Hoom….” Good news? Bad news? That tone of voice shocked me. “…Hoom, he is breathing!”
“But his vital signs are very low…If we left him here he is going to” My ears closed to the last word as my upper body lost its strength for a moment; at the same time a pair of cold arms caught me.
“You shouldn’t be near me or you are going to caught Hypothermia Hoom; but Geez, you scared the hell out of me when I called for you and both didn’t move… ” Tears were finally swept off and my mind returned to the state in which it only thought about rational things until the objective was complete; right now the priority was to keep Lux alive, later I could worry about my state.
Hypothermia…Neither Gil or Rosie could help but using a fire attack type could be dangerous for Lux, then again, I was a weakling at the time being; what move, what move? Correct, another move that was new for me but because of the actual strength only the first wave could be dangerous for him, not for me.
“Gil, step away from me for a second.” Now even my voice wasn’t working well, but he understood. “Over heat…” My body started to get really hot but it felt good; however the flame forming had to be thrown somewhere else, my hands directed the attack towards the ocean and the water was evaporated. The attack was used three times before the flame was little enough to get near Lux. I crawled and embraced his entire body repeating the attack until he was dry and somehow, warm yet not burned. Then, the one who collapsed was me.
Damn it, I can’t give up right now! I still have energy left…but my body isn’t working…
“Hoom-chan! Are you all right? Hoom-chan!” My breathing became heavy and not even had I the strength to turn my eyes to them, the only thing that was on my sight was Lux’s chest trying to breath normally but not achieving it the best way.
You have to stand up and take him to a hospital NOW! There is a town near here!!
“*pant*… Tired” Not even the strength to talk? Sad… “*pant*…hospital…*pant*…Neck…Now…*pant*”
“OK, understood! Rosie, dear, can you interrupt your treatment of Lux for a moment to give some energy to Hoom? I’ll search for something to immobilize his neck and we will head to the hospital.” Thanks for understanding Gil… suddenly a rush of energy helped me recover and permit me to move again. First thing I did was to sit down and finally make eye contact with them after my sight was not blurry.
“Thank you guys…If you weren’t here then…” Both smiled at me not letting me finish the phrase then returning to finish immobilizing the neck and using the move to keep my sweet Luxray alive. There’s no way a smile wasn’t drawn on my face “Gil…can I ask two favors?”
“Tell me dear” He looked calmed for the situation; I was grateful to that
“Can you lend your jacket to Lux and also carry him?” He patted my head in a soft way and then smiled “You don’t ask that kind of things… Let’s get going then” As soon as Gil took his jacket off and was about to place it on Lux’s back he noticed the scars and stopped for a moment; I stood up and covered his back with the jacket.
“He doesn’t like people to see his back…He hasn’t explained it to me yet but…shall we go?” I said with my legs trembling but already standing.
“Are you sure you’re going to be fine? Those wounds on your legs…perhaps, did you..”
“I auto inflicted them in order to jump from the cliff…Did you know I fear drowning?...But don’t worry, I’ll be fine, as long as we take him to a hospital and he is stabilized.” Gil stared at me then sighed.
We began to run towards the direction of the nearest town, being careful and cautious. As soon as we entered the place we begin to have the looks from people, which got bad and bad as we arrived to the hospital; the problem: They only received humans…. Screw them! Rosie and I knocked the guard and entered to emergencies section. Nurses and doctors were scared and paralyzed, the speech started calmly.
“We have an urgency, can you please help us? Please, he is about to…” again that word was one my entire self erased.
“If not, he is going to die!” Said Rosie. Their reactions? Nothing, their scared faces but not a solution…Anger began to gather within me.
“Is any doctor available? Seriously, we are in an emergency!” Gil was losing it too, but the nurses still didn’t say anything.
They should all suffer.
“WE NEED *beep* HELP RIGHT NOW!!! I DON’T CARE WHO BUT WE NEED A *beep* DOCTOR!!!!” My eyes became so cold and evil as I approaches slowly to a nurse “Look, here is what we are going to do: We are going to look for a doctor and if you dare to try to stop us I’ll burn this hospital along with all these sick humans who don’t care enough to help us! Fine?” Gil and Rosie looked at me with surprised faces; some nurses began to cry but they DIDN’T move.
“I care.” A serious and firm voice said behind us before my flamethrower began; we turned and found out a mature man who appeared to be a doctor. As soon as he saw our expressions and Lux, he got even serious and began to give orders.
“Prepare a room now! We need to save this man!!” Some nurses and doctors reacted but others were so scared they still were paralyzed; with one look from the doctor, they all began to move again. Lux was placed in a stretcher and they took him away, not giving me the time to tell him something important. One of the nurses I had yelled at before was the one who took me away to check me up; Gil and Rosie remained in the “waiting room”.
The nurse disinfected my wounds saying the ones on the legs were too deep she needed to wait some time; my arm got a bandage and the guilty feeling arrived.
“Sorry…for yelling at you before” She seemed surprised.
“It’s fine…I’m sorry to misjudge you, but every time a gijinka comes here, there is chaos….”
“Sorry…When you love someone, you do anything in order to save them right?…Can I go now? I need to be there with him…”
“You have some fever but I think is nothing we need to worry about.” With that said I returned to where Gil and Rosie where. They too had been cured, Rosie was tired and Gil had some wounds from the battle he had with Lux.
“You’re strong Hoom-chan…” Rosie said making me tilt my head.
“Just wait until adrenaline abandons me…” I let out a little smile before hearing someone calling me. It was the doctor.
“Miss…” He said as the distance between us became shorter; his tone was being far away from optimistic and so I began to slowly froze. “…We tried everything that was on our hands but…” don’t continue, please, don’t continue…not that word! “…He is dead…”

The world as I knew it felt apart, someone had just ripped my heart, cut it in tiny pieces, stand on it and then throw it away. The tears were not going to stop. The one I loved, the guy from my life, the one who was the only one for me had just died on me. My existence was not enough to save him nor to stop him from doing what he did. He was not going to return, not his smile, his eyes, his voice….never again his words, his embraces, his gestures… he was dead…DEAD…
The word became blurry.
“Hoom!! Hoom!! Answer me!”
“Giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiil” The sob turned into hard crying as my hands got a grip of his shirt “He is dead!!!! It’s my fault!!!!!L-Luuuux…Lux…LUX!!!!!!!!” I want to die…please….I won’t be able to keep forward this time…
My body and mind disappeared into a dark corner as the hysteria attack reached me.
