Kiki was walking down a path that she was told that would lead her to the town. She felt the temperature begin to drop and saw the sky was beginning to dark by rain clouds.
"Tut tut looks like rain," Kiki said. She opened her purse and pulled out a small bright green umbrella. She unstrap it and press the bottom spring to extend it and opened the umbrella.
She held the umbrella over her head and continue walking. Soon it began to rain lightly. I better hurry before it turns rough, Kiki thought as she walked down the path. She saw the muddy puddles forming along the path. "Hmmpf," Kiki looked down at the puddles and her ballet shoes. All though they were incredibly sturdy, they weren't right for a raining day. She got an idea and used Telekinesis and she lifted off the ground a lightly her toes pointed down and it looked like she was pointe work/en pointe. Her toes were a few centimeters from the muddy wet ground. This way she wouldn't have to trudge through the mud.
She grinned at her handy work and 'walked' down the path again.
It wasn't long when her ears pick up on the sound of laughter.
"Huh?" Kiki stopped and looked around perplexed. It sounded like someone was laughing none stop but it didn't sounded humorous in the least.
She peered through the trees and saw someone sitting under a tree laughing. Curious and concern she walk over to the person and saw it was Tangrowth Gijinka. "Hey?...are you okay?" She said bending forward a little.
The Tangrowth stopped laughing and lowered his hand that was covering his face. His white eyes glared up at her. "I'm fine whats it to you?" He said darkly.
Kiki blinked, "Nothing I was just concern...sorry I bothered."
He blinked and suddenly laughed. "Oh sorry for offending you...I'm off today."
"Yeah you seem emoish right now...and soaking wet." Kiki bend down and moved her umbrella over his head.
"Hey you don't have to do that."
"Your getting your hair wet. Wow it's really long. I wish I could grow it that long but super long hair makes dancing difficult sometimes."
The Tangrowth laughed it didn't sound happy to Kiki at all. It was , "Yeah I like my hair this way." Than his mood became gloomy.
Kiki blinked. Did I upset him? Or is he just moody? There was an awkward silence for a few moments.
"So..." Kiki said breaking the silence. "Are you from the mansion back there?" Kiki asked him. "I don't remember seeing you though."
I kinda hope he doesn't...weird guy laughing crazily in the middle of the forest. What if he's mad or something?....
"I just arrived there. I probably be staying there."
Oh...great....
"Do you know a banette gijinka girl name Shupple?" The Tangrowth asked.
Kiki thought about, "I'm new there too so I only met a couple of them. But I think I remember seeing a Banetter girl. Is she your friend?"
He nodded grinning. "Yes She's like a sister to me..." He looked pensive, "I hope she's doing okay..." He fell silent again. Kiki wasn't sure if he was shy or deep in thought.
"Hey I'm Kiki by the way."
The Tangrowth snapped out of his thoughts and smiled at Kiki. "I'm Tanner."
In the distance there was a thunder clamp. "A storm will be here soon. You should take shelter."
"I was going to town to do shopping. I better get going before it gets bad." Kiki stood up but kept her umbrella mostly over Tanner's head.
"Now your getting wet," Tanner told Kiki. "Go on I'll be fine."
Kiki slowly pulled the umbrella back over her head. "You sure?"
"Yeah don't worry." Tanner said and he smiled reassuringly.
The look he gave her made her feel convinced but she felt unsure leaving him in the rain. But Tangrowth's were Grass type's so he must like being rained on.
"Okay see you later," Kiki said turning away.
"See you later Kiki," Tanner raised his hand to wave.
Kiki returned the wave and smiled. She walked back down the path.
It still feels wrong leaving him like that, Kiki continued walking then turned around to look back. She was some distance away and could see the tree Tanner was sitting under. But when Kiki looked he was already gone. I guess he went back to the mansion.
And with that Kiki carry on walking through the rain. After some time it started to poor and then lighting flashed dazzling her eyes. "Eeep!" She suddenly ran full speed from the scare and found herself in the outskirts of a town.
"Whoa!" She slide down the wet concrete sidewalk and grab a light post to stop herself but ended up swinging around it.
Some of the town's folk who were out walking in the rain saw her almost falling in a puddle but luckily avoided. They applauded and laugh.
"Haha thank you!" Kiki said bowing to them. "That was all planned." She joked.
As they walked away and Kiki was left alone she looked down at her and saw she was half wet. "Ew...gotta change out of this." she muttered and walk into a clothing store.
