In this Post: Arc, Rosie, Bella
--------
It was getting darker, which meant it would probably get colder as the day went on. I was laying in a field, with my hands folded beneath my head, propping it upward. I had to force myself up, no matter how comfortable I was, and get moving. With a heavy sigh, I stretched my arms and yawned, scratching the back of my head and grabbing my jacket from the tree branch above me.
Grumble...grumble How could I even forget how hungry I was? Starving to be exact. Then a breeze passed by and I suddenly smelled something delicious. I lifted my head and closed my eyes, letting my nose do its job and sniff out something good. There was definitely a town nearby. So I headed towards it, walking at a good, steady pace. I didn't want to waste my energy considering I still needed to take some-
There it was! I wore a contented smile as I entered, getting a few odd looks. It was probably odd because I wasn't with a pack.. Nevertheless, I wasn't going to be bothered by it.
I had never been to this town before so I was too busy turning my head occasionally to see what was around me, rather than in front of me. Bad idea, since I walked right into someone, making her stumble back slightly.
"My apologies, I should have been paying more attention" I told her, with a sheepish smile as I watched her look up at me. She had apple green, long hair and ice blue eyes. A very attractive gijinka, I'd admit, but I smiled still and scratched the back of my head, waiting for a "Watch where you're going! Or what the hell were you thinking! Or, "Pay attention!" It never came, so I was surprised.
"It's alright," she said calmly with a reassuring smile. Though I was still surprised, I continued to smile as though it were nothing. "Are you new here?" She asked me.
I nodded my head. "I am. My name is Arc, and you are?" I replied.
"It's probably not the best idea to talk in the middle of this traffic," she told me, leading me to the side where two cafe chairs were placed, empty. She took a seat, and it was then that I noticed the bandages around her neck. I hesitated to take a seat, and she probably noticed that I saw them, but I quickly took my seat anyway. I was tempted to ask what had happened, but I kept it to myself, thinking that it would only upset her.
"My name is Roselyn," she answered, with a soft smile as though I hadn't seen the bandages around her neck at all.
"Beautiful. It fits you," I told her. And it did fit her. She replied with a thank you and asked me what it was I was doing around town.
"Just traveling.." I answered. "In need of a place to stay actually.." I said, rather embarrassed but it didn't show so much. Then she seemed to brighten up and told me about a certain mansion that sheltered gijinkas. The idea of it wasn't as much of a comfort as I'm sure she though it would be for me, but I smiled softly and nodded my head.
"It sounds like a wonderful place.." I told her.
"It is..but it's not in the best condition currently.." She replied.
I cheered up at that. Just those words were enough for me. "Can you please tell me the way?" I asked.
She seemed puzzled at my asking. Why I would want to go to a nearly destroyed mansion was probably beyond her, but she complied and told me the way, happily. I bowed and thanked her for her kindness, wearing a charming smile.
"I hope I will see you again," I said and lightly kissed her hand as my appreciation for her help. Then I was off again, heading in the direction she pointed out. I noticed the sky darkening and my chest began to feel heavy as the wind blew past me. I needed to warm up quickly and hoped that inside would be much warmer than it appeared. Stepping over stubble, I managed to make it to the entrance. The door was barely even on it's hinges anymore.
Maybe this was a bad idea.. But it was too late to back down now, I needed that warmth.
"Where is it!?" I heard from inside. It was a young girl's voice and as I entered, I noticed she seemed to be stressing over something.
"Do you need any help..?" I asked, taking a step towards the staircase. She looked up at me, startled by my sudden entrance or probably even more that I was something that she did not like. She seemed to stumble back, making me step forward with curiosity.
"Do you need help?" I asked again. She seemed to keep a good distance away from me, and as much as I was puzzled, I couldn't help but take another step forward. She took a step back. This time I tilted my head. When I looked towards where she was searching, I noticed something under some rubble. There was a bag underneath the stair case, covered with some rubble.
"Is this what you were looking for?" I questioned, walking towards it and removing some of the rubble, clearing out the bag and holding it up so she could see. She slowly nodded her head.
"I won't hurt you," I said calmly, wearing an encouraging smile. I couldn't be that scary could I?...I was sure I wasn't the least bit intimidating whatsoever.
She seemed to come closer, seeing that I had no intent to harm her. "May I ask your name?"
She hesitated, taking the bag from me and shyly looking away. "..Bella.." she finally answered.
