Included: Lux, Raine, Cedric, Shupple, mentions of Gil and Hoom.
There I was standing there in my room alone as everyone left. I actually had hit Hoom with a thunder punch something I never wanted to do, regardless, even with exchange of hatred words. I felt very stupid. Felt very ignorant, and I felt like a damn idiot. Yeah, of course I was one. I’m a Luxray and I am a very jealous person and take pride in what is mine. Luxray’s are territorial and I guess I was very proud of calling Hoom mine. But she wasn’t an item and I should not have treated her that way.
I also came to the conclusion that yes I am not very good with relationships. Ever since I was a child I never had a true friend, people used me from time to time and I typically tried being nice being hopeful for a different ending, but it was all the same. I was told to be nice, help people, and treat people the way you wanted to be treated. My parents taught me that, but it never happened no matter how hard I tried. I slumped against the wall as I just thought about how much of a monster I was to Hoom and even to Gil. Nevertheless, when I thought I was alone I truly wasn’t.
Raine had entered the room and I only looked at her sadly and turned my face to advert my eyes from her. I knew she was terrified of men so now I made my impression on her even worse. If it wasn’t the damn piano from earlier it was this. I guess I was still lonely and scared that I began to talk to her.
"It's just pathetic, isn't it...?" I said to her giving a fake smile as my eyes began to swell with water. "Am I really that pathetic...? I must be if she..." I just let my head hang.
Raine did not say anything but she definitely was apprehensive to come near me. As soon, as I lost all hope I felt some warmth around me. She was using a Healing Wave on me. I ignored the fact that she was so close to me and the wounds, cuts and brushes were all healing but there was no way in hell she could fix my heart. I blew it big time. Physically, emotionally, and mentally I was in the worse shape of my life, even worse then when I lost my village because of one main reason, I actually had people who cared about me walk out while in the village they were dead. She suddenly stopped using Healing Wave.
"Is... Is there anything I can do to help...?" She asked.
I looked up at her. "Maybe...no... I don't know..."
She slowly and reluctantly reached out a hand and gently touched mine, but I could tell she was scared beyond any words. "Please, isn't there something? As... as an apology for earlier, even... I'll do whatever I can to help, L-Lux... Um, just let me know, ok...?”
I didn’t say anything but she stood up and began to use some of her powers. Within a few minutes all of the supplies and everything Gil and I knocked over was back in the places they once came from. It was not that impressive but at least the place didn’t look as trashed as it did before.
Knock knock!
“Hoom!” I perked my head up to hope to see her standing there. But to my dismay it wasn’t her but the doctor.
“Lux, may we talk for a moment?” He asked as he stood in the doorway with his hands in his pockets. I nodded a as the doctor entered and pulled a chair up to the be side me. “So I heard what happened, are you okay?”
“Yes, sir I am.” I said quietly barely looking at him. Raine gingerly got up and sat on the couch by the bed as she listened and lowered her head. She shouldn’t force herself to be here if she did not wish to be. I could read her face that she was really uncomfortable around me, she was a psychic type so obviously these emotions she could sense were probably getting to her, and in the mood I was in, surely it wasn’t helping matters.
The doctor then grabbed his stethoscope and began to do a check up on my heart and then began to measure my blood pressure. “Lux, my boy, you’re suppose to relaxing. However, you blood pressure and heart rate are elevated to stress levels. These levels are too high for you. I need you to relax and take it easy.” He blinked as he stared at my eyes. “You have a fresh wound on your face and your eyes look dilated.” He got up and shut the door, which had an eye examination on the back. Strange I didn’t notice that before. “I want you to cover your right hand and read the 6th, 8th, and 10th row.”
“Ah sure…” I didn’t need to really look at this since from the medical books I memorized them and I have to admit I couldn’t see them clearly from where I was standing but geez I could pass this. “ Okay 6th row; E D F C Z P, 8th row; D E F P O T E C, and 10th row F D P L T C E O.”
“Very good, now do it without memorizing them Lux.” He said to me with a smile. Damn he knew?
“Well, sir….I”
“You can’t correct?” He questioned with a sigh as he came back to sit down and I lowered my head. “I already knew from looking at your eyes. It seems from the damages you had sustained from whatever you did to yourself are starting to take their tolls. You are near sighted now Lux and I am not sure if you will ever gain your regular eyesight again. I realize that Luxrays have wonderful eyesight but my son, I don’t think your eyesight will ever be the same. You damaged the retina of your eyes and the healing process may never happen. I am sorry.”
“Great…more bad news…” I moaned sitting there. This really was terrible and now my eyesight was gone. I could only see things up close and things were blurry in the distance. This was exactly like when…when I was a child. A Shinx…
The doctor then grabbed a note pad and pen from his pocket and began writing something. “Here, I am writing a prescription to get some glasses since I am well aware that from your medical records you can not were contacts.” I was stunned that he knew this much, so humans knew that info as well? Well I guess hospital info was shared not matter where I was so it made sense.
The doctor chuckled again as he handed me the note. “Go ahead and go down stairs to our eye specialists. I will have you pick out a pair of glasses free of charge. Just pick one out and I will cover the bill.”
With that said he left me sitting there holding the paper looking down at it saying nearsighted glasses. I refuse to wear glasses again but I guess I have no choice in the matter. This day just keeps getting worse and I couldn’t stop thinking about Hoom and her eyes. I never saw her like that and here I was getting worse all I could focus was on her.
“Tch, this is such a pain in the ass!” I growled to myself. I heard a eep which I had turned to Raine because to be honest, I had totally forgotten she was there. Her head was lowered and her hands were resting between her thighs as she sat there.
“So are you going….to get the glasses?” She asked as her voice shook.
“I really don’t have much of a choice now….” I sighed heading to the door. “You asked me if you could do anything, well could you just stay here for me just incase someone comes back?”
She only nodded. As my stare at her was still emotionless I exited the room.
-10 minutes later-
Four eyes four eyes! Lux is a four-eyed freak!!
“Tch so I have to live this nightmare again?” I mumbled to myself as I stood out side the optical center in the hospital. My left eye was burning from the wound Hoom gave me, and at this point I was rather irritated and short tempered so I needed to keep to myself and draw little to no attention to myself.
One of the specialists led me to the different brands of glasses for near sighted people which they left me to pick one out. The first pair I found were the round huge coke bottle glass ones that I wore as a kid.
“Nasty…gross..nerdy…horrendous…geeky…” I kept muttering under my voice as I tried one on and tossed the next over into a pile on a desk. “Nope….hate it….not me….too tight…to stupid…nope…ugly….”
Yeah I was getting flustered because there was no way in hell I was gonna wear a pair of stupid glasses and be made fun of again. My entire childhood was coming back to haunt me again. It was like what Hoom said to me, my worse nightmare was coming true.
That’s when I felt the familiar tug on my tail and who to my surprise did I see, Cedric. He pointed and laughed at me as I wore an oval shaped pair of glasses. “You look silly Lux. You need cool and in style ones.” He smiled.
I lowered myself down to his level and kneeled. I couldn’t help but grin because this kid had a stupid smile on his face that was so damn…cute. “So I suppose you know what cool is?”
“Yup!” He nodded eagerly.
“You sure? How can you? You’re like only 6 years old so you barely are out of diapers.” I smirked at him lifting an eyebrow.
“NA AH! I know cool!!! I am the coolest kid here blue kitty.” Darn it don’t call me that. He pointed at to the left, “Those glasses with rectangles. Those are cool!”
I blinked as I stood up to look at what he was talking about. They were a thing rectangle and seemed pretty normal but I guess I could give them a try. It wouldn’t hurt right?
Placing them on was hard and difficult because again, those horrible chants kept appearing in my head. I stood there for a second before I lifted my head up to see myself in the mirror. As I stared at the Luxray before me, I had to admit these glasses weren’t bad. I guess if I had to wear them I should probably prop my hair down which I began to do.
“Yeah push your hair down that is cool too. All the chicks dig that.” Cedric said with a laugh.
I kept pushing it down with a grin, “Oh do they now? Is that why you are still single?”
He puffed out his lips and moaned. “I am not single. I got my mommy!”
I couldn’t retain myself from laughing out loud from that last statement because he was right he did have her but he literally took me the wrong way. I meant having a girlfriend but he shouldn’t have one at this time and mom was number one. My mom was number one when I was his age so I could relate. It was just something I guess I got caught up in the moment.
“So how do I look?” As I turned to Cedric with a nervous smile. My hair was now down and these damn glasses where on, I could see clearly now and just waiting for his reply was making me nervous.
He smirked and gave me a thumbs up. “You look cool blue kitty.”
I guess I won’t be able to get this out of his head so I guess I will leave it. “Thanks, wait here so we can play. I have to tell the specialists I found a pair.” Cedric gave a grin as I turned to the desk.
The lady at the front desk was very helpful and I was in and out within a few moments. But when I turned around Cedric was gone, but not too far to be honest, he was standing in the hallway staring at something. As I tucked the glasses into my scrubs pocket I walked up behind him. “What’cha staring at master?”
His hand pointed in front of him as a girl in a gray sweatshirt kept wondering around, she looked a bit out of place and was wearing sunglasses at night. Was she trying to stand out?
“Is that a Banette?” He asked as his voice began to grow with excitement.
“Shupple?” I tilted my head as she got closer. I stood up placing a hand on Cedric’s shoulder as she came closer.
“Oh Lux there you are, I went to your room and you weren’t there. Only a Ralts girl who told me to look around here.” Her voice was concerned and as she stood there I was surprised to see her. Actually, I was really happy to see her since I began to chuckle. “What? What are you laughing at?” She asked but I only shook my head and began to slowly take her sweatshirt off and her sunglasses. I then pulled her hood off her head.
“There now you don’t stand out Miss Suspicious.” I grinned at her. I can’t let her know what happened. Not yet, but just seeing her was getting rid of my pain.
She looked down to see Cedric holding my hand by this time and she looked back up at me. “Who’s the kid?” Well that was very blunt. But that is Shupple so no big surprise there. “Also where are the others?”
“Well this is Cedric, he’s my master and buddy of mine” I said as Cedric took a step forward a bit shy and red in the face. “As for the others, well umm-“
“CAN I CATCH HER?” Cedric blurted out as he pointed at her. Shupple’s face went from me to him as she gave him a look of what in the word was this kid talking about. She quickly took a step back.
I knew exactly what he wanted to do so I kneeled beside him and whispered, “You want my help master?” He nodded with excitement. “Alright give me the command and I will do it.” I smirked as I stood up.
Shupple had a stern look on her face and sort of confused smiled. “Lux, what are you planning?”
Cedric quickly pointed at her. “I CHOOSE YOU LUXRAY! USE THUNDER SHOCK!”
“WHAT THE?” Shupple yelped as I quickly ran to her and pushed her up against a wall and began tickling her. She started quickly making noises as she laugh and moaned and yelped as she tried breaking free….”What…HA HA HA HA…are you doing….HEHHE HE HE HE….Lux?!” She muttered as she couldn’t retain herself.
“That’s the way Lux get her now use thunderbolt.” Cedric cheered as he jumped up and down as I continued my assault on her.
I let sparks fly on my back making it look like I was hurting her and I stopped tickling her for a few seconds, “Just play along okay?” I mumbled as I looked her in the eyes. “Please do it for him?”
She was confused but she winked and pushed me away. She began to fake cough and tumble over herself. “Damn it, fine…Shadow sneak…” She used her attack and hit me with it but the way she did it, she only stopped in my shadow as I faked being hurt.
“ARGH….ack!!!" I shivered as I twirled around in a circle and as I played along she used a shadow claws on me sending me flying backwards, it was just enough that it didn’t hurt too much but enough that we both could adlib it. Clearly people around us could tell we were both playing from the smiles on Shupple’s and my faces. This actually was fun, and with Cedric laughing and seeing him light up like this, I can admit even for a moment, this feeling was bliss.
I fell down before Cedric and struggled to get up and I coughed. Shupple came up and placed her foot on my back and laughed an evil laugh, it was very convincing that was for sure. “ Foolish idiot. You dare take on a ghost with this weakling, you should have known better.” She grinned as Cedric, okay Shupple you are scaring him because his face was terrified.
He ran at her as he cried and came to my rescue. “WAHHHH!!! GET AWAY GHOST!” He yelled as he swung his arms around in circles. Shupple quickly jumped back and stood at least 3 feet from me with her arms crossed. “Are…are…are you okay blue kitty?” He asked shaking me. Honestly, I was crying more from his statement then anything. Does he really need to call me blue kitty?
I pushed myself and stood back up to face her. “I’m….I’m okay master…” But again as I bolted towards her my vision blurred and I tripped over my feet, thank goodness she was playing along she caught me. “Ahh…sorry….” I whispered to her looking at her eye to eye.
“Are….are you really okay?” She asked. I could hear concern in her voice, which I really appreciated.
But Cedric’s voice came back to snap us out of our little conversation. “Use Crunch Lux!”
I blinked because there was no way I could fake that attack on her, I backed away but her grip on my arms tightened. I looked back at her a bit unwilling to do this but she only nodded and gave a wink as she moved her head to the side. The urge and the sensation came again.
“CRUNCH!” A bit of blood splatter as Shupple fell to her knees and Cedric began to gasp from what he saw. Before Shupple hit the ground I caught her in my hands. As I brought my head up and my fangs dripping with her blood she opened one eye and smiled at me.
Strange, it made me happy and I couldn’t help but give her a smile back. I held her as we both faced Cedric, I quickly whipped he blood from my mouth. “Now Cedric use it.”
He nodded and grabbed his poke ball out of his scrub pocket and threw it at Shupple. Sadly, it hit her square in the forehead. Which after it hit her, I ran to his side to advert her rage. I saw it, she was annoyed. Her smile was twitching because from the way he threw it at me, he probably threw it just as hard at her. “Did I catch her?” Was the only thing I heard from her as she sat there glaring at both of us as the poke ball sat in her lap.
“Yo Shupple…are you okay?” I asked tilting my head.
“Oh I’m fine, Lux and my young master!” She smiled giving a bow.
Shivers ran up and down my spine because that was the fakest smile I had ever seen and she surely was not one to smile much. But damn, she was scary right now. I turned to see if Cedric was just as scared as I was but again, he was gone. Like lighting he had already ran over to Shupple and began hugging her and rubbing his check against hers. “I caught two Pokémon!! I have a Luxray and a Banette!” He was cheering.
Shupple looked a bit uncomfortable as I walked up and giving a hand out to both of them. I wasn’t aware if she has never been with a child like this or even played but for someone such as myself, it took away all the pain even for a moment. Shupple on the other hand, maybe this was something completely new to her. But without much hesitation she took my hand and stood up and quickly bonked my forehead.
“….Dork…” She muttered with a small smile. “But….it was fun…”
I rubbed my forehead and smiled at her. “Yeah, that it was.”
Quickly Cedric ran between us and grabbed both our hands. “Okays, now that you are both mine can we play back in my room? Pretty pretty please?” He was giving Shupple the puppy eyes and she sighed and looked at me. I only shrugged and smiled back at her.
“Umm…sure let’s go.” She said to Cedric and we three both walked the hall together.
Cedric was jumping and laughing as we both swung him between us. It was the same way my parents had done this with me. So it was strange, for me to be doing this with him. It was like, he was my son. WAIT A MINUTE!
My gaze was focused on Shupple and then back to myself. I hadn’t realized it at the time but this feeling of why I felt so good was from my past and Cedric reminded me of myself when I was young, Shupple was like my mother, but my mom was more feisty and more energetic then Gothic, and well my dad, I was the image of him I guess. This feeling as we swung him just reminded me of a family.
“So what really happened here Lux? I can tell your heart is even more broken then before and your eyes are filled with grief and pain.” Shupple said to me.
Well that was really unexpected. I guess that it is normal for a ghost to be able to read people, but this was way too much.
I kept focusing on the path a head of me, “It’s nothing to worry about.” I smiled at her fakely. I didn’t wish to discuss it right now. I just wanted to enjoy this moment because surely it wasn’t going to last long and being with Cedric who was laughing so much as we both swung him. My heart was happy and my mind was in bliss. Shupple didn’t look convinced and turned her head in the direction we were walking.
“So now that you have caught us Cedric, what will you do?” Asked Shupple as she looked down at him.
He smiled at her, “I’m gonna be the Pokémon master! I’m gonna challenge the elite four with you and beat them till their poopies come out!”
“Ha ha, really? Well you only have a party of two. Don’t you think you need a few more?” Shupple laughed.
He nodded at her. “Yup, I does need a team of six. But but but! I saw a Glaceon earlier, and two Houndooms and a Ralts so that would make my team complete!” His eyes were glimmering like two diamonds that were just renewed. He was surely determined to become the best.
“Well then, we better catch them shouldn’t we? Right Lux?” Shupple said smiling as she turned to me. But her facial expression changed. “Lux?”
Everything was around me was blurred and I was light headed, actually I couldn’t control myself as I fell forward hitting the floor headfirst. All I heard was Cedric and Shupple saying my name. Apparently I had fainted.
-Some Time Later-
I awoke to find myself in my bed with my mask on and Raine using a Healing Wave on me. Shupple was on my left as she sat there with her arms crossed and an angry look.
“So you’re awake now?” She said as she stood up.
“Ahh yeah, apparently. What happened?” I asked looking at her. Raine took a step back as she once again stopped her healing wave.
“You fainted from lack of energy, over stressed, and being a total idiot. I had to carry you back myself and it wasn’t easy. You are heavy.” Then she quickly hit me again outside the head.
“OUCH!” I growled. ”WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT FOR?”
“You really think I can’t tell what is going on huh?” She expressed. “I’m not stupid Lux, I can sense it. I am a ghost after all. You are such an idiot sometimes. You think I wouldn’t have figured out what happened. I know what happened with Estelle and NOW you go and make it worse with Hoom. When were you planning on tell me huh?”
I glared at her and turned away from her. “I don’t have to answer to you.”
Suddenly I felt her grip and she pulled me back to face her. Her eyes were really upset and she was already gritting her teeth. I have to admit, I think I was looking death in the eyes right now and even the wrong word or the slightest movement could have me killed. I really want my mommy now. I was terrified.
She closed her eyes and a few tears dripped on me. “I witnessed it all and Raine also told me. As you slept I placed my hands on your forehead and read your thoughts. You really think you are alone? Is….is that it? Because you’re not. Raine and I have stayed by your side for the last day now because…we’re your friends.”
I blinked, “Wait, did you say last day... I’VE BEEN OUT COLD FOR AN ENTIRE DAY?” Shupple was annoyed that I yelled and Raine, she look liked she was about to collapse out of her seat.
“Yes. The doctor said you needed more rest and Raine here has been doing her hardest to heal you and might I add a wonderful job.” Shupple said as she turned to Raine who gave a slight smile and a nod.
“And Cedric?”
“He came and visited earlier but he is with his mom, and he also caught Raine too, but she didn’t put up much of a fight against me. “ Shupple grinned.
“Ahh no fair….you…you are a ghost so you have the advantage.” She said as she tried to defend herself. “You’re just too strong….but…he was cute.” Her stomach growled and she began to turn bright red. “Umm will you excuse me, I am going to go get something to eat.”
With that said, she hurried out of the room a bit flustered.
“She has been healing you so much that she forgot to eat. She is a strange one,” Nodded Shupple. “A bit odd, but she does have a good heart.”
I didn’t say anything because to be honest, her personality was too shy and quiet to me and I barely knew her anyway, and being around me I could feel she didn’t like it. She probably already hated me anyway.
“Now Lux, why don’t you tell me what happened between Estelle since this is was the start of everything…”

BAH! Okay so Shupple entered differently a LONG time ago but due to what happened I asked for permission to change it so she can enter again so yeah here she is and I hope I got her right. T^T Sorry if I epic failed on this!!!
Cedric was so damn cute that I couldn't resist. Also at the end of the post it has been one day since he passed out meaning Hoom, Gil and Hon haven't visited him....Oh noes!!! :(
I leave it to Anime and Kitty to continue and from there we will see if Hoom and Gil come back!!! Let's pray!!!
