I was still unsure of what were the items I should buy since the bathroom at the mansion was full of everything I needed, at least for a few weeks. If it weren’t any products related with essences or aromatherapy, then my only option was to buy clothes and accessories; I was aware my current outfit was practically new, but still some cute accessories wouldn’t cause me any trouble; I could even buy some underwear too.
“Excuse me.”
“Yes?” My answer was done in a quick way since the voice surprised me but at the same time there were not bad feelings coming from it.
“You’re a Gijinka right are you from the mansion?” Now I was sure the girl standing in front of me was a Kirlia gijinka; she couldn’t be a hunter and besides she too was being cautious about us being what we were and like I felt before, the aura coming from her was not similar in any aspect to something dangerous.
“Yes I’m Roselyn the Roselia. Are you from the mansion too?”
“Yes I’m staying there, my name’s Kiki and I’m a Kirlia. What are you in tour for? Are you shopping for the festival?”
“Festival? I think I haven’t heard about it” I found myself saying my thoughts out loud but Kiki didn’t care about it since she answered quickly.
“There’s going to be a festival really soon and it appears we can assist to it”
“Then, if I’m not wrong you are at the town for the same purpose?” I got a nod and smile from her before she saw mine all over my face; if there was going to be a festival then there were a lot of things to work right away; firstly the kimono, the hair accessories, a new scent for that day only, shoes, make up…
“Kiki, would you mind if I join your festival shopping? Since you mentioned it, I’d really like to go.”
“I don’t mind, besides having others opinion will help” she smiled again and with that we both gave a long tour through the town; firstly stopping by a place and buying our kimonos; it was the first time everything went that fast and without knowing, some few hours later we were finishing the shopping; Kiki then propose we should go to drink something and then head to the mansion and I had to say I agree at the instant she gave the idea, because what was better after a hard session of shopping than drinking something refreshing and showing
your partner what was your favorite piece?
Everything could have been perfect if it wasn’t for the little headache I began to feel somewhere around the middle of the shopping; it had gotten worse during it and now I was aware a fever was surrounding me and increasing quickly.
“Roselyn?” I turned my face to see a worried Kiki who was questioning me with her eyes “Are you feeling fine? Because your face is kind of red….”
“Oh, really?” I said taking a small mirror out of one of the bags and faking a surprise when my eyes saw that, indeed my skin was acquiring a pinkish tone due to the fever. “I think all these shopping agitated me, I’m fine Kiki, but thanks for asking” She nodded not buying my lie at all; I too was sure I was not going to be able to keep with the story so I speeded our little break and soon after we were returning to the mansion.
My state was decreasing as our destination came closer and the only question inside my head was that why was I feeling like this? This time everything felt different from when I got sick. What cause could it be?
“Be careful!” without being aware that I almost felt to the floor, my eyes turned to Kiki
“I think I might be a little too tired, that is all Kiki; thank you for not letting me fall”
“You are not feeling fine right? Let me see if I can use my healing wave in you” I couldn’t say anything against her and her attack began; however there was not any improvement on my state and in fact, my sight on everything began getting blurry as the fever continued increasing and my muscles felt weak; however I didn’t want to cause any trouble to anyone so I tried my best effort to appear that Kiki’s attack had worked on me, at least a little bit.
“Thank you Kiki, I think I just need to rest as soon as we arrive to the mansion”
“Glad I could help!”
Fortunately we didn’t have to wait longer before finally entering the mansion; from what I could hear there was a group of gijinkas cleaning somewhere near us and if I wasn’t feeling like that I would have probably been helping them but, my strength was not enough to do anything in particular. Kiki and I began to go upstairs and that’s when I couldn’t keep my fake on going; my head was killing me, not to mention I wasn’t seeing very well and the fever was making me feel dizzy and weak; my body began to lose its last strength and just before losing my consciousness I could heard Kiki screaming for help.
My eyes slowly opened after having that strange dream, or should I call it a flashback? Either way what I first noticed was that, somehow someone had carried me to my room and also was kind enough to have close the curtains and place a fresh and wet towel on my forehead in order to make the fever decrease. Definitely, I had to thank that kind person as soon as I saw her…or Xio….no, it
probably wasn’t him…
My eyes turned to the roof as I slowly tried to move my body, noticing that the improvement was a little one; then they turned to the left and found out…Arc staring at me? Was he the one responsible of bringing me here? Well he probably was since he was still staying there. I wanted to told him something but my state became pretty much dangerous; I wasn’t able to breathe correctly and it felt as if the fever had increased and was still doing it; my head beat like my heart and I had to close my eyes and try to concentrate myself on the breathing and not in fainting again.
When my cardiac rhythm was slowing down again, I was able to hear Arc stepping nervously around the room bringing another wet and fresh towel that made me feel better; my symptoms were finally letting me act as normal as possible; in other words at least I was able to mumble and turn my eyes to Arc.
“Are you feeling better?” He said smiling at me, a gesture that somehow calmed me; I half nodded and forced a smile.
“Were you the one who carried me to my room?” I could only whisper but Arc nodded “I didn’t want to cause you trouble…” My breathing began to be heavy again and the only thing I wanted to do was not causing more trouble to Arc or anyone; maybe if I was left alone, I could find another way to calm….Thinking about another way to calm, I remembered a special beverage my mother once used; if Arc next to me was willing to do me the favor of searching for the ingredients that were missing, then I would have some time alone and also a solution…
My hand grabbed as hard as it could a piece of Arc’s pant who immediately turned to me.
“Can…… I…….. ask you……………. A………… favor?” Not being able to breathe correctly was tedious.
“Sure, just let me know”
“Can you search for…..a Starf Berry?”
“What for?”
“It….would help me ….cure……”
“Are you going to be fine while I’m searching for it?” Now it was my time to make my best effort to show him he didn’t need to worry about it. I controlled every movement as I sat down on the bed and slowly walked to the door breathing “normally”
“See? I’m beginning to feel better…..you don’t need to worry…” Arc didn’t seem too convinced but he smiled and said he was not going to take too much time. A really sweet guy if you ask me.
As soon as he closed the door my body couldn’t handle it anymore and my legs didn’t support me, making me fell right next to the bed…my breathing became heavy and heavy as my chest hurt.
...After that everything went black...
