Too Many Emotions

Shupple

"It's nice to meet you as well, Lux," Arc said as he shook Lux’s hand and then suddenly, Lux put his arm around me, probably wondering why the heck I was smiling. Hell, I didn’t really care. I was enjoying myself. Seeing Arc after so long… it made me feel warm again. I didn’t want to forget him when I last saw him… Part of me never did.

"I concur this guy is your boyfriend, eh Shupple?" Lux asked teasingly with a grin while I noticed the cupcake frosting on his cheek. I elbowed him lightly for him to get the idea, which made him pout as usual since we were playing, but he still chuckled. I called him an idiot, like usual. I could tell Arc was smiling as usual.

"He's not my boyfriend," I said with a small smile. "He's a good friend of mine that I caught up with after three years." I felt my cheeks start to burn but I made it stop. Weird, but whatever.

"We met in a hot spring," Arc added and then I realized Arc really didn’t think that through… Before I was able to say anything, Lux immediately jumped into the conversation with his usual smartass joke.

"A hot spring!? Damn, Ghosty, I didn't know you went down that way!" I gave him my death glare, which made him shut up because he was being an idiot, even a lovable one at that but he needed to start to learn his place at least, the idiot.

Lux and I continued to talk for a short bit until we noticed that Arc went over to Raine and said hi to her after she woke up and I thought it was really cute. Lux went a little overboard though at the end.

"RAINE, BABY!~" Lux exclaimed loudly as he went over to Raine and wrapped his arm around her, and I wondered where this came from but I didn’t bother to ask. I couldn’t help but even smile in this moment.

"Ease up on her, Blue-kitty," I chided with a nudge to Lux and he just laughed. I could see Arc just smiling, doing the usual even if I could figure out he was probably hiding something that he didn’t want to talk about, but I was used to that, even if I wanted him to open up sometimes.

At some point, we fell asleep, and me usually cold, Arc wrapped his jacket around me like old times so that I could stay warm, so I cuddled up to him and fell asleep, letting my dreams take ahold of me. Old memories surfaced about Arc… and I remembered something I had blocked a long time ago.

Flashback: Age 15

“Thanks for helping, Arc… It really means a lot to me that somebody tried to help me after all of this time,” I said with shyness entwined in my voice as the thunder clouds thundered over my head, threatening to rain. Arc smiled his sweet smile and looked at me.

“You’re welcome. I don’t mind helping a friend,” Arc said with a smile as we climbed up into the trees so that we wouldn’t get rained on and since we already planned where we would go tomorrow to find my parents. We said goodnight to each other and fell asleep on different branches, since there was no other town around.

I woke up by the rain falling on me, and it was about morning from what I could tell because the Bird Pokemon around me were flapping their wings and hunting for food.

“Hey, Arc, you wanna get going so that we don’t get completely rained on?” I yawned but I didn’t hear a reply. That’s when I looked down and around the tree where Arc had been sleeping. There was nothing.

I looked around all morning in the rain, trying to find him, since I knew he didn’t like the rain, but not even when I looked in all of the caves. He left. He left me in the rain, completely soaked, and sick for the next week. Why…? I had no idea… Did he ever regret it…? How was I supposed to know? I never saw him again…

And all of my friends that I had were Ghost Pokemon afterwards.

End Flashback

I jumped awake in Arc’s arms and felt small tears running down my face. But that’s when I saw Lux’s face, and it was red, livid, and he was about to blow off his head. What was wrong with him…? I moved my hands across my lap and that’s when I felt the soft, white hair laying there and I knew who it was. Who was here. Why didn’t I wake up earlier and done something…?

“Who… the… HELL… was that, Shupple?” Lux exclaimed loudly enough to make Arc jump awake and I crunched the hair in my fist.

“None of your business,” I said coldly as I stood up and threw the hair in the trash as I cleared my throat. Nobody knew except Arc who it was. Lux shouldn’t know of all people. What if he got involved? Shift was just as strong as he was.

“Who was it, Shupple?! He said that he would… meet you or something at the Festival. What the hell?!” Lux exclaimed and I looked at him coldly as my fists grew tighter and I was getting madder.

“Lux, it’s none of your-” That’s when he got up and gripped my arm hard and looked me in the eye.

“Who was it?” He asked a little bit more calmer and I looked straight into his eye with so much cold in them and my voice.

“He was the man who took my parents and put them in testing with hunters, okay?” I hissed and he let go and just stared at me. That’s when Arc got up and tried to talk but I stopped him as tears grew to my eyes.

“You have no right to say anything,” I cried. “You ditched me in a forest, in the rain, where I got sick for a week looking for you and you never came back! Did you ever figure how I felt? How much I cried!” I cried as tears ran down my face and Arc just stared at the ground without looking at me or saying a single word. That’s when I just walked out of the room and just got into the elevator and pressed the roof floor so that I could get some air. It would be the only way I could focus. To get all of this out of my head. To get Shift out of my head.

Once I got to the top floor, I just sat on a bench, curled up in a ball, and cried.

Tanner

God, what the hell was the phone ringing this early in the morning? And why do I feel like I’ve been sleeping for only five minutes. Stupid time… Slept in late too…

I picked up the phone and immediately got better as I talked to the guy Lux as brushed my hair quickly and walked out of my room while rubbing my eyes and walked to the kitchen. Thank god this was a portable phone…

I brought up Shupple in the talk and enjoyed being a pervert for the short time being until Abby came into the kitchen and overheard that I was talking to Lux and gave the phone over to him as I grabbed out some Instant Ramen, put in some hot water from the sink and quickly ate it for breakfast and completely woke up, especially with that talk I just had with Shupple and Lux… She would so kill me when she got back here… I just chuckled at the thought as I heard the doorbell ring and Lupe hopping down the stairs. Well, since I was already close to the door…

I quickly got to the door before Lupe did as I ate my ramen and opened up the door with my hair and gave a smile at the really pretty girl standing there.

“Hi, I’m Fresia… Is the mansion for Gijinkas I’ve heard about?” She asked with a smile and I smiled.

“Well if the rumors are out, then that would be dangerous,” I said with a small smile and she just smiled and I stepped aside to let her come into the mansion as Lupe stood by the stairs, her arms crossed with pursed lips and her bunny ears crossed too. Wonder what her problem was.

“I’m Tanner, by the way,” I said as I held out a hand as I closed the door behind her with my hair and Fresia shook my hand. “I’ll show you around the mansion, if you’d like,” I said with a smile and we started to go down a hallway and Lupe followed.

“I’d like that,” Fresia said with a smile and we walked down the hallway and Lupe started in.

“I need to talk to you,” Lupe demanded and I rolled my eyes.

“Later, bunny!” I called back and continued to show Fresia around the mansion. Whatever Lupe’s problem was, it wasn’t mine.

Hope that was okay, and I got Fresia's personality right! :DD Short O.O
