They say dreams are sometimes future visions of what there is to come. I can that in my life, I could believe it. Here I was dreaming but dreaming of my lovely wife Hoom. Our family hasn’t yet begun but there was the nanny who was Shupple and our gardener Raine who was very well off with flowers, Hoom and I even obtained a dog who was really good at fetch. Such a good Arcanine if you ask me. But sometimes the scent of things could wake you up.
The odor was smelt of B.O. and other chemicals I did not wish to discuss and as I rubbed my eyes I saw the being of which it belong too. A man, a Shiftry to be exact, and one that looked rather wild if you asked me. Possibly, he hasn’t taken a bath for days. But that smell wasn’t a good one and I could see in his eyes he was not someone who was bringing me my meds.
“Who are you?” I demanded as he only smirked as he played with Shupple’s hair. Was he trying to piss me off with getting friendly with someone who was sleeping?
“Just an old friend,” He exclaimed as he yanked out a piece of his hair and placed it on her lap. What the Ho-Oh’s name was he doing? His smile was just getting under my skin. “Tell my dear, loving Shupple that an old friend visited by… and that I’ll see her at the festival, alright, cat?”
He smiled and walked over to the window but the dumbass slipped on some glasses but quickly caught his balance. Regardless of what this idiot was, I didn’t like his demeanor nor did I care for his smell.
“Goodbye,” Was the last thing he said to me as he jumped out the window and was carried away.
The nerve of that guy, who was he and what did he know about Shupple. Honestly, I haven’t even had Shupple open up to me yet but I did know she had a bad past. Shaking my fist I was even more discouraged then before. Looking around to make sure anything else was missing I noticed that Raine was gone, did he kidnap her? No, I think she left a long time ago; her scent was almost gone where the trash of a Shinftry was still there. Hoom on the other hand I could sense was still in the building.
Damn it all, this fucking irritates me.
Suddenly, Shupple jumped awake in Arc’s arms but I turned slowly to her to see her examining the white hair in her lap. Her face told me she knew.
“Who… the… HELL… was that, Shupple?” I exclaimed loudly enough to make Arc jump awake.
Shupple crunched the hair in my fist. “None of your business,” She said coldly throwing the hair in the trash. Are you kidding me? It IS my business now.
“Who was it, Shupple?! He said that he would… meet you or something at the Festival. What the hell?!” I walked over to her even more irritated then before. Her damn ghost eyes were still stern and I could tell she wouldn’t tell me even now, but only by force will she talk.
“Lux, it’s none of your-” Enough…I gripped her arm hard enough to make her look at me. I looked her in the eyes sternly to get that answer out of her.
“Who was it?” I asked again, I was trying to be calmer to at least show her I cared enough about her. She talked about me opening up; well it was about time that it went both ways.
“He was the man who took my parents and put them in testing with hunters, okay?” She hissed.
I was shocked and immediately let her go and stared at her. That’s when Arc got up and tried to talk but Shupple stopped him as she began to cry.
“You have no right to say anything,” She cried. “You ditched me in a forest, in the rain, where I got sick for a week looking for you and you never came back! Did you ever figure how I felt? How much I cried!”
I had never seen her like this, well I have seen her cry and that was in my arms however this situation was completely different. Her tears were running down her face and Arc was just staring at the ground without saying anything. At this moment, I could say nothing as I watched Shupple storm out the door to be alone. There all myself stuck me with Arc in the room.

The silence was broken with Arc heading towards the door, “I better be going. This place isn’t suited for me.” He muttered as his hand reached for the doorknob.
As he opened it I placed my hand on the door and slammed it as I stood next to him glaring him right in the eyes. He looked at me surprised. “So just like that you are leaving her again?”
“I don’t deserve to be around her, it isn’t right for what I did to her in the past. Now if you excuse me, please move.” He smiled as he walked out the door.
Really? He was going to do this to her again? Not going to happen. I stepped on his tail and he let out a small bark and turned to me. Shaking my fist I hissed at him, “You really are a damn dog you know that? A stupid mutt that is a brainless drone. You may be obedient and emotional but that does not equate to high intelligence which has now been proven to me you rotten fleabag.”
“You know nothing about me….cat.” He stated as he grabbed his tail but quickly I grabbed him by the back of his neck and dragged him back in the room slamming the door and tossed him to the ground. We were about the same size but he by far was more passive then I was. “Wh..what…what are you doing Lux?”
Grabbing his collar, at this point I didn’t care if it was my lion-like nature but I wasn’t going to let him walk all over Shupple. She already broke down with whatever happened with Mear, which she still hasn’t told me enough and now this other guy that visited her during the night she needed someone there for her and clearly it wasn’t me.
I shook him and yelled at him, “Stupid dog, listen to yourself. You are just running away from your problems! How ignorant of you! Obviously, you are like a small puppy with a tail between his legs and that makes you pathetic. I know that situation all to well and I won’t let someone like you repeat that and hurt her and much as I hate saying this, you know more about her past then I do since she doesn’t open up much to me.” I was already grinding my teeth in frustration. “If you leave her you fleabag, I swear I will castrate you right here and now. Believe me dog, you may call me a cat, but this cat doesn’t take things easily so SIT!” I spat glaring at him as I dropped him to the ground.
Arc quickly obeyed and sat down with his tail wrapped around him with his head hanging down. He didn’t say anything but I could tell he was processing, like dogs do. At least he was obedient so I guess I should get him going.
“Now Arc, go fetch and make things better with Shupple…” I pointed to the door. “GO!”
Arc quickly nodded and bolted out the door with an extreme speed. I knew he wouldn’t fail me as I stood there in my room. Now to get my shirt back on…
“Don’t you think you were a bit harsh Lux?” I heard a seductive voice ask me.
“No, just had to get the dog in him to understand Shupple’s feelings is all.” I smirked as her arms wrapped around my waist and I felt her head rest on my shoulders, “But then again are you mad at me Hoom? I know you were outside the entire time.”
“No not really.” She said as she let go as I walked over and sat down on the chair to look at her. She came out and sat on my lap. “But you didn’t need to insult our dog heritage, since you knew I was there. You are so mean sometimes kitty, just remember I know how to make you purr.”
She started gently playfully rubbing my ears with her hand and I couldn’t resist letting out a few purrs. “Hoo…Hoom that isn’t fair….hehehehe….stop that….you know that’s my weakness…”
“So is this,” She giggled and licked the inside my ear and I fell forward into her breasts and she continued. She was so cruel….but I loved it.
“HOOMY!!!” I cried out of excitement, “STOP please…hehehe…stop!!! You make me look weak..!”
“Okay okay hot stuff.” She smiled as she got up and walked away with a hip wiggle. She was teasing me damn her. “Shouldn’t you get dressed?” She asked.
“Why should I? Don’t you like what you see?” I walked by her and shook my hips to mock her. “I think I am pretty sexy babe.”
She only giggled as I walked over to the dresser and grabbed a blank tank top out of the dresser, but her fingers ran across my back so suddenly. “What’s wrong Hoom?”
“It’s just so sad, you are so handsome yet you bare so many scars on your back. I just wish they weren’t there.” Hoom stated with a sigh as she kept feeling them.
“Actually, I am not ashamed of them Hoom, I suppose what doesn’t kill me just makes me that much stronger.”
“THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR BACK!” She was crying from the sound of her voice as she hugged me. “Lux, you are very secretive about your back because of these scars and…”
“That is because you know many people frown upon unsightly things. Hoom, you of all people should know how it feels to be shunned, with scars like these people would not welcome me.” I turned to her and kissed her forehead as I embraced her. “Geez, even people stare at me with the one on my eye. Nevertheless, it doesn’t really bother me because I have you Hoom.”
She didn’t say a word and I wiped away a tear. I gently kissed her lips again. “Hoom, do these scars make me less attractive to you?” She shook her head quickly as she stared at me with those sad eyes, “Believe me Hoom, these scars represent my past and what I bared for so long to become the person I am. I survived elimination of my village and remember these scars represent my extended family I lost that day. They may never heal but even scars have their own beauty.”
“Is that what happened Lux? Your village was destroyed? How long were you alone?” She questioned.
I smiled at her and held up the tank top. “I think that’s enough for today, I promise tomorrow at the festival I will tell you everything and show you the real me!”
“Lux don’t make me tickle your ears.” She growled a bit annoyed.
“I’m serious I will let you know everything that happened, I won’t back down on my promise.” She could clearly tell I was serious now.
“I believe you. But why are you putting a tank top on? Are you going out?”
“Kind of, I need to go shopping today so would you mind helping me get this on since my arms are really still sore?” I handed her the item and smiled a bit embarrassed in the face.
“Fine…get on the bed…” She puffed out her lip a bit flustered at me as she helped me get the shirt on but she was gentle as she pulled it over my shoulders. “How’s that?”
“Wonderful Momma Hoomy!” I chuckled as I gave her butt a small squeeze but she quickly back away all red in the face. Maybe I shouldn’t have called her momma? Oh well. She quickly patted my head as she gave a laugh and a wide grin. So did want to become a mother someday? Well that’s good news for me. “Now Hoomy, I think it’s best if we sneak out of here so I can steal you away…”
“Wait what do you mean?” She asked confused.
I grabbed her hand and looked at her with a smile. “Well, I need to shop and you need to go back home and have a relaxing night before the festival. Besides I want you at your best tomorrow and all dolled up for me. Tomorrow is your day to be a queen because everyday you are a princess in my eyes.”
She didn’t say anything but only smiled with a blush on her face as we walked through the hospital together. I was told sometime back I could leave to get some fresh air for a little while but I was planning on going out for a few hours. It was already close to the time Hon was expected so Hoom and I waited outside for him as I told her what I had planned. She agreed that she did need some relax time back in the mansion and she would check up of Xio for me since I was suspicious of him but all she knew was I was just a bit concerned about him. Only I was the one that was truly aware of what he was doing and planning. In either case, it really didn’t matter yet.
Hoom and I sat on a bench and chatted about everything and anything outside of the hospital. As of yet, she and I never spoke once about our pasts nor of our families but just getting to talk to her was enough for me as we cuddled there. I had asked her what happened to Raine since she had disappeared and Hoom only said that Raine hurried home because she felt sick. Something told me that was a lie. After some time, Hon who was occupied by Melody waved from a distance. Hoom immediately ran to Hon and hugged him as they both fell over.
Melody looked shocked as Hon bagged Hoom to get off him since he couldn’t breath and she refused as she rubbed her cheek against him. So this is what siblings were like? Melody noticed me as I walked up from behind. Melody and I quickly hugged as Hon and Hoom got up. That’s when Shupple and Arc appeared outside holding hands. From what I could see that had made up, at least that was good since I gave a slight smirk.
“Sis are you ready to head back?” Hon asked looking at Hoom.
“Yup, but first…” With a big hug and a quick peck on the lips, Hoom kissed me again. Man am I getting lucky or what? “I am excited about tomorrow. Don’t worry I will find you and I can’t wait to see your new look.”
“As well as I?” I smiled tucking my hands into my pockets. I turned to Shupple and Arc. “So you figure everything out right? Seems you too are a bit more friendly with each other.”
“S…SHUT UP LUX!” Shupple spat. “It’s fine…it’s really nothing you should be concerned with.”
WTF? Did I deserve that treatment? Way to be a bitch Shupple.
Arc let go of Shupple and walked over to me and put his arm around my shoulder, strangely I thought he was about to shoot me for what I did earlier. “She’s just embarrassed right now…sorry, she’s just got a lot on her mind about Shift.” So that was the name of the guy from earlier? But still no need to take it out on me. “And thank you…without your harsh words, I probably would have left and made the same mistake again…I really do care about her, Shupple I mean…maybe that is why she acting the way she was in front of you since she really cares about you as well.” He smiled as his tail wagged.
“So no hard feelings Arc?” I asked tilting my head to the side.
“Not at all kitty!” He chuckled letting go.
“Oh whatever puppy!” I pumped fists with him as we both gave each other a man hug but that was quickly interrupted with Shupple pushing me away from him.
“Just stop it Lux, I know what you are doing…” She glared.
I actually have no idea what she was talking about because to be honest, I wanted nothing more but to be friends with this strange Arcanine. Something about him reminded me of myself so I knew we could get along even though we were in a sense rivals.
I only glared at Shupple with her rudeness.
“Hey Arc,” Hoom interrupted with a slight laugh, “Why don’t you join us since we are heading back to the mansion? The big festival is tomorrow so all need to prepare and you should really meet the others there.”
“That sounds good!” He stated. But as their conversation between the four of them continued I slowly walked off and headed to sit down by the fountain by myself.
I had no idea what was with Shupple right now. Obviously with what she said to me earlier hurt her, but maybe Arc told her what I did and she was mad at me for that? Actually she was even more stubborn then me in some ways but I think that was because of whatever the Shift guy did to her. He was still very close since his rotten scent still filled the air which meant he was keeping an eye on her, but he kept himself hidden which meant he has had some pretty elaborate training in the past. He could be more trouble then expected.
From a distance I saw the others leaving as Shupple approached me at the fountain, “Why did you leave?”
“Why didn’t you leave?” I asked as I continued to look at myself in the water.
“Because I promised to stay by you until you were better. Do you know how hard it was for me and Arc to already go our separate ways?” She stomped her foot in anger.
“Should I really care Shupple? I don’t know since you embarrassed me back there. So what are you too each other?” I looked at her with a blank stare which sent shivers down her back.
“I…about that…sorry…I just have a lot on my mind….I should really thank you though for sending Arc to me up there. Honestly, I expected you to come up there not him. He told me what you did, you really are a great friend.” She smiled as she walked towards me.
“Apparently not a good enough one to get embarrassed of four other adults.” I sighed standing up.
“Of course you are Lux! Not many people would have done that for me….” She exclaimed, however, I started to walk off anyway. “WAIT, where are you going Lux? You need to be resting!” I heard her running up from behind me and grabbed my arm. “We need to go back upstairs.”
“Naw, I need some time away from this place and some fresh air. Besides I am going on a date with a special lovely lady!”
“Huh? With who? Hoom already left with the others!” She pointed out but that is when I pulled her in close and put my hand on her chin.
“Don’t be naïve Shupple, I can see it in your eyes, you wanna go out on a date with me?” I gave her that seductive smile as she began to blush.
“But…but you are taken and I don’t-“
I interrupted her before she could speak again by putting my finger against her lips, “Ssh as your best friend as you stated, I need to do special things for you and from what I saw, you were all infatuated with the mutt so you will go on a date with me to get yourself ready for the festival, besides, you can’t resist a stud like me!”
“Try me!” She looked unconvinced. So we are going to play that game huh Shupple? Fine let’s play.
“Alright I will,” I leaned in and kissed her smack dab on the lips as I gave her a small French kiss, to my surprise she returned it. Playfully I backed away, “You taste pretty good. I say you are about a 6 for kissing.”
“Lux you JERK!!! YOU STOLE A KISS FROM ME!!!” She screamed in frustration as she rubbed her hair and every direction and began to pace back and forth. She was beat red in the face. This was odd for her but actually very funny in my eyes.
“Oh hush up Shupple, it was friendly kiss. It didn’t feel right to me so it won’t happen again since I value our friendship more then anything, besides, you needed practice for your Arcy!” I scoffed at her as I began to walk away from her again. She didn’t say anything as she stood there thinking to herself, “Shupple you coming on a date with me or not? I am treating for lunch! If you don’t come who will keep this sick and devilishly handsome Luxray out of trouble?”
Now if she only takes the bait. From the sense of her aurora she was smiling and I could hear her laugh under her breath. Ever since I dug my fangs into her neck, I could sense many things and share many emotions with her either to her knowing or not knowing. “COMING!” She cheered as she caught up to me and grabbed my arm as we walked together to our first date.

Wow this is really short for me but whatever I needed to get it done so others could post and it’s a bit cute for so many reasons and I hope I got everyone right. Sorry about the Shupple bitchyness but it needed to be done for this reason. Weeee maybe Lux and Arc will be bros lol….Lux needs a good best friend who is a dude since Gil abandoned him….
