Tanner
"You know, I'm quite nervous... This is my first time healing with my psychic abilities on anyone but myself ... I've been reading and I've found a way of healing. Only through practice on myself I've ever been able to heal…" Estelle told me as she continued to heal my wounds and I smiled while closing my eyes, laying back on my pillow and headboard.
I had to admit, Estelle was really nice for an Espeon. I’ve met a few that haven’t been the best of people, but Estelle was the nicest of them all. She was pretty too, so that gave even more credit. She was really good at healing; I really had to admit too…
"Ah, that's alright. You're doing a good job already,” I told Estelle with a calm voice, my other side still thankfully sleeping, and Estelle smiled wider.
"Oh, that's nice to hear!" Estelle said cheerfully and then, after a few more minutes, she lifted her hands off of my side.
"Finished already." My eyes opened and looked at Estelle. That quickly? Wow. That’s kinda… cool.
"Already? That was kinda quick,” I stated straightly, kind of not believing her. I would’ve thought it would take longer than that, at least.
"Well I sort of sped up the process. We want you to be well as soon as possible, you know,” Estelle told me as she reached for my back and helped me sit up, which actually really did help me but I felt good feelings in my arms and legs, unlike before, where they felt weak. I guess Estelle really did speed up the process.
"Wow... This is... great! I feel so much better,” I said with astonishment in my voice as I kicked my legs a bit and moved my arms about, making sure they were better. It felt great! I couldn’t but smile.
"Take it a little easy Tanner-san. Let the healing energy to flow throughout your body. Meaning you should just wait a few minutes more!" Estelle started to wave her hands around for me to stop moving which made me smile and grab her hands suddenly.
"Hmm?" Estelle let out and I gave her a warm look.
"Thank you..." I left out and Estelle’s cheeks flushed in embarrassment. How cute.
"Ooh! You’re very welcome. An act of kindness for a new friend,” Estelle told me with a smile and she took her hands back in embarrassment and I took my hands back and let the energy seep through me, which made me feel loads better than from before. I was surprised Estelle could channel her physic powers like that.
“It seems like my only friends here have become girls,” I said with a nervous chuckle with scratching the back of my head in embarrassment. It truly did feel like that. Well. That’s embarrassing.
“Well, the girls aren’t here that bad to have as friends, are they, Tanner-san?” Estelle asked with her head tilted and her ears slightly dropped. Well, that was a wrong thing to say. Nice going, idiot.
“No, not at all! That’s not what I meant! It’s definitely not a bad thing!” Estelle titled her head more in confusion as I held up my hands in defeat. Whoops. “I just don’t have any guy friends is all, Estelle. That’s all I was saying!” I knew better than to suffer a girl’s wrath. Her face lit up and she gave a small smile.
“Well, have you met Abby?” Well, that brought up memories. Thanks, Estelle.
“Yeah, but I heard that he’s in pretty bad shape right now,” I told her and she just nodded and put a finger to her mouth and looked down at the floor.
“What about Hon?”
“I think so. I’ve met that new kid too, Patrick,” I shrugged and she just nodded.
“I can’t think of anybody else right now in the moment except for Gale, Chii, or Cheruu, but not a lot of people have heard from them lately,” Estelle sighed as she leaned back a little on my bed and I just nodded. Don’t be a pervert, Tanner… “Well, since you only know girls, I guess that isn’t a bad thing, right? Everybody’s nice here,” Estelle told me and that made her remember something because her face lit up.
“Oh, that’s right! I need to get, or make, a kimono for the Festival! It is tomorrow, after all,” Estelle said out loud and then blushed when she realized I heard it.
“Would you like me to go into town with you, Estelle? I have enough energy to move about and whatnot, and I need a kimono myself,” I chuckled nervously and she smiled.
“I would like that, Tanner! Some nice company to come along with me! Oh, do you think the other girls would like to go too?” Estelle asked me and I shrugged and that’s when all the girls ironically came back into the room and they all noticed I was sitting up and feeling better, though little Patrick wasn’t there with them. He, I bet, was playing or something with Nyarth.
“You look a lot better, Tanner! How are you feeling?” Fresia asked me with excitement and I smiled.
“I’m feeling good, thanks to Estelle,” I gave a smile and a warmer smile to Estelle and she just smiled.
“So, what are you two talking about? Something about the festival?” Shola asked and I nodded and Estelle then spoke up.
“Since I need a kimono for the festival, I thought everybody would like to accompany me to town! Maybe even Lupe-chan too!” Estelle said with a smile and then we all just nervously smiled.
“Well, if Tanner’s coming, then how about we all help him out of bed?” Shola asked and then all of the girls got on one side of me and helped me up. Sometimes, I was just so glad I was being taken care of girls…
I took my few steps by myself and then I slipped on a new turtleneck and all of the girls left so I could get new pants on. Once I went to my closet and slipped on a new pair of black pants and clean dark hunter green boots, along with better looking, red fingerless gloves. Once I made sure that my hair was at least straightened out, I exited the closet and looked myself in the mirror. Gray eyes… That’s just joyful…
I exited my room and noticed the girls were all talking amongst themselves in the commons and I went over to them and they all smiled as they swung their purses over their shoulders and I followed them out of the mansion, Estelle asking Lupe if she wanted to join but she said:
“Nope! We have got to get this place cleaned up and spic and span clean before Lux comes home! I already have my beautiful kimono upstairs!” Lupe declared and I just rolled my eyes and we continued into town.
“Oh, Tanner-san?” I looked over at Estelle as we got into town and everybody’s heads turned to Estelle. I raised my eyebrows and Estelle smiled. “I was wondering, why do you keep your head in dreadlocks? I don’t really mean to inquire all that much,” Estelle quickly fixed and I just laughed a little.
“It’s a lot better than keeping it in a gigantic ponytail or completely straight. It’s a pain to get out all of the knots in my hair anyways,” I said with a small smile and this time, Fresia spoke up.
“Oh, Tanner?” I looked over at her. “Why don’t you cut your hair? Is it a tradition or something?” Fresia asked and my smile dropped only a little.
“It’s a tradition in my clan of Tangrowths and Tangelas to keep your hair long. If you cut it, you lose the ability to move your hair to your own ability and it’s a dishonor and disgrace to your family. Nobody’s cut their hair in years and I don’t plan to cut mine soon,” I chuckled and that’s when the girls pointed out a kimono shop and I followed them into and felt so embarrassed going in there with three girls. It kind of made me look gay but I would not let that get the best of me, of all things.
I followed them to the back after they all found kimono and didn’t even let me see them and they went into dressing rooms. I bet Estelle would pretty… What am I thinking? I really need to shut up.
“I guess I’m judging,” I laughed and I heard the girls giggling inside their dressing rooms.
Let the judging begin.
