Time: day of the festival
As I walked through the town getting near and near to the festival I wondered where Lux was; it was true he said he was going to come to the festival with me but we never planned where to meet…or did we? I wasn’t very sure about it but at the end I knew that worrying about it was not going to help me in any way and besides he knew I was going to be around so now my problem remained in what to do until that.
I began to slowly walk around with no particular direction and recalling good old times, most of the people was happy, having a good time along with their friends or couples, they even brought their children and the peculiar yet interesting thing was the fact that we could coexist with humans…however, being honest, some of the outfits were really funny. First I stepped in an accessory-festival related stand and kept there for several minutes deciding what to buy; at the end I decided for two rings that I could attach to one of my horns; the owner laughed a lot when he attached it since it tickled a lot and I got nervous wondering if he discovered I wasn’t a human…he didn’t say anything at the end so I simple kept walking and passed through a mask shop; one of the few masks that got my attention was one of a fox.
Fox….which reminded me to Gil and the fact he wasn’t there…but then I think my senses were going kind of crazy since I swear I could sniff his scent somewhere near me; yeah I was probably getting crazy or not? Curiously my face turned thinking it wouldn’t find anything interesting but it was all the contrary; what was that I found? There was Gil along with Lun at the festival; I blinked several times noticing that it was reality and not a dream. He didn’t even bother to say he had returned or whatever, what was he waiting? Or was he going to let me know at all? My mind was confused between, anger-sadness and happiness, at the end the anger won and without me knowing it I was already walking towards their direction; as soon as I had him in front and because he wasn’t giving me any particular reaction, my hand moved fast and slapped him on his face.
“You are an IDIOT!!!”
As soon as he gave me a death glare, my tail went down nervous but my eyes kept looking at him, I knew that if I said anything wrong I wasn’t going to end very well, besides, now that I was calming down I noticed right away that his mood was screwed and he was trying his best to simulate nothing had happened; in other words something bad happened with Gabriel and he wasn’t able to kill him….And so there was I slapping him, yes I had screwed everything; Lun was preparing for the worst too…
“¿Why are you looking at me like that?” Unconsciously I was already giving him the puppy eyes while I feel tears gathering too “Do you hate me now? I’m sorry…..” Gil looked away trying to avoid me looking at him but he wasn’t going to win; I grabbed his shoulder and kept staring while, surprisingly, Lun joined the attack and we finally obtained an answer.
First came the resignation sigh which made us know we have won “Fine…Fine…” there was a slight change on his eyes, they weren’t that cold anymore but he was still troubled in great amounts, however having him around again at least for a little time was awesome; I couldn’t help but to hug him tight and lick his cheek.
“I’m glad you’re slowly returning to us Sweetie…” I snapped “And I’m sorry for the cheek Lun” I winked at her while she told me it was all right; I could see they weren’t in the lovey dovey mood so maybe “Ne ne….have you eat anything yet? Maybe we could go to a restaurant or something…”
“It sounds like a great idea, don’t you think Darling?” Gil finally nodded at us and so we headed to search for food, hopefully enough if we were able to slowly cheer him up he was going to enjoy the festival a little.
Hopefully enough right? Well, the task was taking a lot of effort if you ask, our conversation was not going anywhere as we waited for the food and I already knew I would have to leave them alone, it wasn’t the correct time to interrupt but I just wanted the old Gil back as fast as possible and the restaurant was the first thing that came to my mind; if he wanted to talk about it later I would be there but right now, the mood was pretty awkward. Distractedly I looked to the window and saw people and gijinkas passing by, for a moment, Lux’s scent came to my range which got my attention but then, he wasn’t nowhere to be seen, my eyes continued looking until another familiar scent go near and then I saw him, it was Aberi---Abbie!
“I thought he wasn’t going to come today” I muttered as Gil and Lun gave me a strange look
“Who?” Gil said looking outside “Abbie? I thought you were going to wait for Lux?” I blinked
“I guess I’ll meet with him later, but for now…” I stood up “I’m going to do something fun with him” my hand pointed outside. “So… by the next time we meet I hope to see you two cheered up a little ok? Otherwise I will take extreme measures” I chuckled at the look they gave me and then exited the restaurant walking fast towards the Absol.
“ABBIE!!!” The yell got his attention as I waved and then nearly tackled him softly remembering he wasn’t fully recovered. “I’m glad you are here” I gave him a smile.
