Chapter one: Ranger Run in

A young girl named Aqua was out in Johto swimming in the lake up on purity canyon. When she was 4 years old her parents were here with her studying the water. But all of a sudden a wind storm blew up and blew them right off the mountain. She was short enough that the wind missed her, but after that she was all alone. A group of Finneon took her in and raised her like one of their own. She became a marvelous swimmer but had a little trouble walking on land. She learned how to speak poke’mon but only remembered a small bit of human talk. She was so happy up there that she never even thought of her parents again. As for them, they sadly, thought she had died in the wind storm and never came looking for her. One day, the event with Ash, Mewtwo and the clone poke’mon, and Giovanni, happened (poke’mon; mewtwo strikes back). After it was all over, the Almia poke’mon rangers sent two average rangers to check and see if everything was back to normal on purity canyon. They sent Alexis and Alex. When they got there, everything seemed to be ok. But then, all of a sudden, they saw a young girl, with pale white skin, aqua blue long hair, and aqua blue eyes, swimming in the lake. She soon came to the edge for a break. They went up to her and Alexis asked, "Who are you?"
The girl was a bit scared but got up the nerve and said, "The finneon call me Aqua. I don’t remember what the humans used to call me."
"Why are you here?" asked Alex.
"This is my home." said Aqua.
"Where are your human parents?" asked Alexis.
"They got blown off the mountain by a wind storm. Haven’t seen them in 6.....years." said Aqua.
"Are you having trouble remembering how to talk human?" asked Alex.
"Yes. I didn’t learn everything very well before I got lost here." said Aqua.
"Do you want to leave?" asked Alexis.
"No thank you. I like it here with my new family." said Aqua.
"But you would be a great ranger I bet." said Alex.
"What’s a ranger?" asked Aqua.
"A human who helps poke’mon in trouble. We are rangers." said Alexis.
"I would like to help poke’mon....." said Aqua who still hadn’t decided.
"You can be a ranger. All you have to do is go through ranger school, and since you don’t know much, possibly a bit of poke’mon school. And besides, you can always come back and visit your family." said Alex.
"Well, if I can come back and visit, Ok." said Aqua happily. "But I get to take Pearl with me."
"Who?" both rangers asked. At that moment a finneon swimmed up near Aqua.
"This is my best friend, Pearl. I wont come if she doesn’t." said Aqua.
"Fine, she can come too." said Alexis even though Alex didn’t want to say yes.
They went and got the Staraptors they came on and loaded everyone onto them. Aqua held Pearl the whole way. When they finally got off Alexis asked, "So, how old are you?"
"Ten years old." said Aqua after thinking a minute.
"Ok, so we will put you in your first year of poke’mon school. Pueltown has a lovely school, so you can start here." said Alex pointing at a school in front of them.
"Ok but I need to get Pearl into some water first. She is dehydrated." said Aqua.
"Sure. There is an ocean nearby. She can stay in it and make some friends while you are at your first day of school." said Alexis.
"But first you might want to change. You have outgrown and ripped the white dress you are in." said Alex as he looked at Aqua's ripped mangled, plane white dress.
"Ok." said Aqua as she gently struggled to walk to the ocean side to put Pearl in the water.
"Also, we need to teach you how to walk strait." said Alexis. "You stay here for a bit while we go to the ranger station to tell them about you and get you a new dress." So after they left Aqua jumped into the water to join pearl in making friends. They saw a local Horsea and swam up to her.
"Hi I’m Pearl and this is Aqua. Were new here." said Pearl.
"Nice to meet ya. Imp Ariel." said the Horsea.
"Nice to meat you Ariel." said Aqua.
"Wow! You understand poke’mon talk?!?!" asked Ariel.
"Yep. Can you show us around?" asked Aqua.
"Sure. Come with me." she said as she swam on. They followed. They came to a group of goldeen (six of them). "That’s the goldeen and Seaking pack. There is Sally, Flounder, Guppy, Tory (all goldeen), Tonk, and their leader Gold (both Seaking)."
"Cool! Sure are a lot of poke’mon in the waters here." said Pearl.
"Yep." said Ariel as they came up on a walord and her son (they are pretty deep under water. Aqua can hold her breath for 15 minutes). "That is Wilma and her son Ben. They are the only walord and wailmer that stay here year round."
"Cool!" said Pearl.
"By the way, why isn’t Aqua saying anything?" asked Ariel.
"Well, we are underwater. She may be able to talk poke’mon but she is still a human. She will drown if she tries to talk." said Pearl.
"O yah." said Ariel as they came to a pack of Finneon. "These are the finneon and lumineon around here. There is Kelly, Michael, Denis, (all finneon) and their leader Sammie (the only lumineon."
Then they came to a pack of azurill, marill, and azumarill. "That is the rill pack. That’s Casey, Bailey, Haley, Hailey (all azurill), Denny, Randy, Cindy, June, Delores (all marill), George, and Nora (both azumarill)." said Ariel.
Then they came to a clamperl, gorbyss, and huntail. "That is Tony (clamperl), and his mother Carla (Gorbyss), and his father Carl (huntail)." said Ariel.
They then saw 2 gyarados and 3 magikarp. "That is Tonya and Dennis (gyarados), and their 3 kids, Tiara, Christopher, and Trinity (magikarp). Said Ariel.
After that they went and saw the corphish, crawdaunt, corsola, seal, Dewgong, dratini, dragonair, feebas, milotic, psyduck, golduck, krabby, kingler, buizel, flotzel, carvanha, chinchou, lanturn, lotad, lombre, and ludicolo. After that Aqua needed a breath and they went to the surface. When they got up there Alex and Alexis grabbed her and pulled her out of the water. "Where have you been?!?!" asked Alexis enraged and worried.
"Getting to know the local poke’mon." said Aqua not knowing why they were worried.
"We were gone for 5 minutes and you haven’t come up since we got back 15 minutes ago. You can’t possibly hold your breath for 20 minutes!" said Alex.
"20 minutes! Did you hear that Pearl! I beat my record by 5 whole minutes!" said Aqua excitedly.
"You really did grow up in the water. O well. Just tell us next time before you do that, Ok?" asked Alexis.
"Ok. Sorry." said Aqua.
"Well, I gotta go. Ill introduce you to more poke’mon tomarrow, Ok?" asked Ariel.
"Ok Ariel. Seeya tomarrow." said Aqua as Ariel left.
"Who are you talking to?" asked Alex.
"Ariel." said Aqua while pointing to the horsea.
"You can talk to poke moon? Well, that will come in handy. Well, come on. Here is your dress, now lets go to your new school." said Alexis happily while handing Aqua a new aqua blue dress that went down to her ankles. It had a blue ribbon tied around the waste, and blue glass beads covering the top in a beautiful design.
"It’s beautiful. Thank you!" said Aqua happily.
"Imp glad you like it. Well, put it on." said Alexis. Aqua went behind a building to change. While she changed, Pearl kept a constant waterbeam going like a wall, covering Aqua so no one could see her change. When she came out, Alex said, "Wow."
"You look beautiful Aqua!" screamed Pearl.
"Now for the finishing touch." said Alexis as she pulled out a hairbrush and brushed aqua's hair. Then she put a blue ribbon, with a sapphire on the top, in Aqua's hair.
"A real sapphire is in that ribbon. It looks good on you." said Alexis.
"Thank you, but why are you being so nice and generous to me?" asked Aqua.
"Well, for one, you are alone and have no one else to, so it only seems fair. And two, we were put in charge of you. We will be taking care of you until you are old enough to go to ranger school on your own. So, we are like your new mom and dad." said Alexis happily.
"Ok. Thank you then." said Aqua happily.
"Well time for you to go to school. And I figured out that you wouldn’t go without Pearl so we brought you this." said Alex as he pulled out a large fishbowl. "She can sit in this while you are inside the school."
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" said Pearl. "Now I can learn too!"
"What did she say?" asked Alexis. Aqua repeated the message.
"Well. You’re welcome. Now lets go." said Alex with a giggle.

Chapter two: school

Mrs. Risk, the teacher of the school house, was just starting the poke’mon lesson when a couple of rangers came to the door. The female one said, "We have a young girl who needs to start school today. Can you make her feel welcome?"
"Sure. Welcome. Come introduce yourself." said the teacher to a young girl standing next to the rangers. The teacher went to the front of the class and said, "Class, we have a new student. Tell them your name please." she said to the girl.
"I’m Aqua." said the girl.
"And what is your last name?" asked the teacher.
"Well, ive never had one. But if I had to chose, I'm Aqua Water Finneon. Nice to meet you all. And this is my best friend Pearl." said Aqua pointing to the finneon in the jar next to her.
"Ok, Aqua and Pearl. Why don’t you set in the chairs next to Johnny." she said pointing to the chairs next to a boy with brown hair eyes and black skin. So Aqua set down in one and put Pearl's bowl in the other. Johnny was sun burnt by the look of it and didn’t seem in a good mood because of it.
"Hey Johnny." said Aqua as she had an idea of how to make friends.
"What?" he asked angrily.
"If you want, we can fix your sunburn." said Aqua.
"What?!?" asked Johnny. "How?"
"Pearl knows a move called Water Pulse, and if I do my technique right with it, we can take away any light burn." said Aqua happily.
"Ok. Show me.” Said Johnny.
"Pearl, can you please use Water Pulse?" asked Aqua.
"Sure. Ill help out with the technique." said Pearl as she started to use water pulse. She aimed it for Johnny and it soaked him. Then, Aqua took out a tissue from her dress and started rubbing Johnny's burn gently. After a minute they both stopped.
Johnny was mad because he was wet but as he calmed down he realized, "My burns gone!" he said astonished.
"Imp glad." said Aqua while smiling.
"How did you do that?" asked the teacher.
"Water poke’mon secret." said Aqua with a wink as she put her tissue up.
"Ok than. Let’s get on with the class then." said the teacher.
On her first day, Aqua fixed the holes in her speech, learned her alphabet and numbers, and showed off her knowledge of poke’mon which was quite large. When the ranger couple came to pick her up after school the teacher said, "She amazing! She knows more about poke’mon than I do, and she is an amazing healer. She learned her alphabet and numbers in one day. I bet she will be reading by tomarrow! She's a protégée!"
After they left the school, Alexis said, "So I’m guessing you two like school."
"Yep." they said.
"And you showed off a bit." said Alex proudly.
"A little bit. We made a friend though. His name is Johnny. He was in a bad mood at first because of his sun burn so we healed it for him." said Aqua.
"That’s great! Well, lets go home. We got a room ready at the ranger base for you. We live at the pueltown ranger base so you will too." said Alexis.
"Cool! Lets go home than!" said the girls together. At that moment Alex realized something.
"Wait a minute. Did I hear a voice besides yours say that?" he asked Aqua.
"Yep! Pearl learned how to pronounce human words today with me." said Aqua proudly. "She will be talking human by tomarrow." said Aqua while smiling.
"That’s amazing!" said Alexis. At that moment they stopped at a nearby door.
"Well here we are. Welcome home." said Alex.

Chapter three: The Ranger Base

Aqua and Pearl woke up the next mourning with the moonlight still shining. (5 a.m.) Aqua got out of bed and looked around at the room. It was shaped like a rectangle and had a small window on one of the small sides and a door on the other. It had a bed on one side of the room (which Aqua sleeps in) and a table on the other (which Pearl's fishbowl is sat on). And a small dresser is at one end of the bed (its near empty). Aqua then put on a one piece aqua blue bathing suit that Alexis and Alex had gotten her yesterday to go swimming in. It was just a plain blue bathing suit except for the blue glass bead that was sowed into the chest of it. Aqua then picked Pearl up out of her fishbowl and carried her downstairs. She then left a note on the front desk for when the rangers woke up. It said,
'Dear Alex and Alexis,

We have gone out on a swim and will be
Underwater for about half an hour.
We will be home at 6 o'clock so don’t
Worry about us.
Love Aqua and Pearl

They then went to the ocean front were Ariel was waiting for them. "Hi guys!" said Ariel as they came near.
"Hi Ariel." They both said.
"So I was thinking that I would show you some ancient poke’mon first and them show you some normal ones. Ok?" asked Ariel.
"Sounds great!" they both said. Then Ariel took them to see some omanyte, omastar, Kubuto, Kubutops, tentacool, tentacruel, wingull, pelipper, poliwag, poliwhirl, poliwrath, politoed, quilfish, wooper, quagsire, speal, sealeo, walrein, shellos(both types), gastrodon(both types), shellder, cloyster, ramoraid, octillery, staru, starmie, vaporeon, sharpedo, slowpoke, slowbro, paras, and parasect.
Ariel even took them to see the luvdisc making people fall in love, lapris sleeping while moving under the full moon, mantyke and mantine swimming along, slowking keeping things in order(in his area), and wiscash telling amazing stories. And then she took them to meet her family. "This is my sister Kelly and my brother Timmy (horsea), my mother Angel and father Jason (seadra), and my grandma Erma and Grandpa Ernie (kingdra)." she said as we met them.
"It’s nice to meet Ariel's new friends." said angel as she met them.
"It’s nice to meet you to ma’am." said Pearl.
"Call me Angel. Do you want to come for dinner?" asked Angel.
"No thank you. Aqua will drown if she tries to eat." said Pearl.
"Aw yes. Ariel, why don’t you take your friends up to the surface before Aqua runs out of breath." said Angel.
"Sure mom." said Ariel. "Lets go guys." once on the surface.
"I beat my record! That was 43 minutes! Woo hoo!" said Aqua.
"Way to go!" said Pearl.
"Well I hoped you liked my family." said Ariel.
"Yes we did. They were really nice." said Aqua.
"Tomarrow ill introduce you to a phione. Well, its time you head back before the rangers get worried. Seeya guys." said Ariel.
"Seeya Ariel." they said together as they left.

When they got home all the rangers greeted them as they came in. "Hi Aqua. Hi Pearl." "Hi guys." and so forth.
"We have sure gotten a lot of attention among the rangers." said Pearl as the got to their room.
"Of course. We are the only kids in the base. Well, we still have an hour before school. What should we do?" asked Aqua.
"Well, we could go see that giant tree that is supposed to be on top of the ranger base." said Pearl.
"Sounds great! Lets go." said Aqua as she put Pearl in the fishbowl and left the room.
She ran past the meeting hall and break lounge and then up the stares. At the top they were speechless. A large tree surrounded by a lake. "Woo hoo!" shouted Pearl as she jumped in. After thinking a bit, Aqua followed. They swam for about half an hour in the crystal clear water before they got out and went back to the room. "Let’s go there more often." said Pearl.
"Sure." said Aqua as she slipped out of her bathing suit and into her aqua dress.
They then went to the front desk at the rangers station and said to the clerk
"We are going to school. Tell Alex and Alexis when they get up. Ok?"
"Ok guys. Seeya later." said the clerk (the nametag says bill).
They went to the school house and went inside. "Your early." said the teacher.
"Well, we have been up a while so we thought we'd come in early." said Aqua.
"Ok then. You can start studying up on your math since you know more then the textbook about poke’mon." said Mrs. Risk.
"Ok Mrs. Risk." They both said. During school a nice girl came up to Aqua and Pearl and asked, "Have you ever seen a Lapris around here, Water girl?"
"Yes. They were very friendly. But why did you call me water girl?" asked Aqua.
"Because your name is Aqua, you carry a water poke’mon around all the time, and I saw you go under water for half an hour this morning without coming up." said the girl.
"She did?" "Wow!" "Cool!" said half the class.
"Actually it was 42 minutes." said Pearl.
"Wow!" "42 minutes!" "The water poke’mon is talking fluent human now!" said half the class.
"Can you take me to see the lapris some time?" asked the girl.
"Sure. If you want. Get your bathing suit and come out to the dock after school. We can take you with us. We will even bring a lapris to carry you." said Aqua.
"Cool! Ill be there for sure." said the girl. "By the way, my name is Dorothy."
"Mines Aqua and this is Pearl. It’s nice to meet you Dorothy." said Aqua.
So when school was over and the rangers came to pick up Aqua, Mrs. Risk said, "She is great at reading and writing but her spelling needs some work. She is great at basic math but she needs some help on the more advanced stuff. She is better informed in poke’mon then even I am! I bet she would be able to leave this school by the end of the week!"
"Thank you for telling us." said Alexis.
"Hay Alexis, Alex. Can we go out to the dock? We have some friends waiting for us." said Aqua.
"Sure girls. Be back by 6 p.m. Murph is cooking dinner tonight and you don’t want to miss it." said Alex. So Aqua hurried up stares, changed into her bathing suit, and hurried out the door with Pearl in hand. When they got to the dock, Dorothy wasn’t yet there.
"Hay Ariel." they both called.
"Hi guys." Ariel called back.
"Can you go get a lapris? A normal human friend wants to come with us today." said Aqua.
"Ok." said Ariel as she dived underwater.
Dorothy showed up a few minutes later. "So where is the lapris?"
"They'll be here in a minute." said Pearl.
A few minutes later a lapris and horsea came to the surface. "This is Ariel and Shelby." said Aqua. "Shelby will be carrying you."
"Cool! Thanks for the lift Miss." said Dorothy as she got on Shelby's back.
"So where are we going today Ariel?" asked Pearl.
"To see that Phione I told you about." said Ariel.
"Ok than lets go." said Aqua as she jumped in the water and took off (on the surface).
After about an hour, Dorothy finally asked, "Don’t you want to get on the lapris with me?"
"No Thank You. I prefer to swim when in the water. I think its more fun." said Aqua.
"Ok than." said Dorothy.
About 10 minutes later they all stopped. "Are we here?" asked Dorothy.
"Yep. Look." said Pearl. They looked out to the water and saw a group of poke’mon doing tricks. They looked closer and saw that it was a group of phione (3 phione).
"Wow......." said Dorothy as she stared in amazement at their beauty.” Do you get to see things like this every day Aqua?"
"Yep. Pretty isn’t it?" asked Aqua.
"Yes it is." said Dorothy. After a while they finally started to head back. The got back at about 5 o'clock p.m. When they got back as they were leaving, Dorothy said, "Thanks for taking me along. I had a great time. I can’t wait to tell the class about this tomarrow!" said lunation as she headed off.
When they got home to the ranger base, Alexis asked, "So what did you do today?" Aqua and Pearl told her the whole story. "Well sounds like you had an interesting day. Now let’s go eat."
That night when she got back to her room, Aqua found something special on her bed. A white nightgown and a little baby aqua ribbon with a pearl in the center. She took a closer look at the ribbon and said, "Pearl! This is a poke’mon ribbon for you! Here you go." said Aqua as she put the ribbon on the notch of Pearl's tail.
"Yay! I can’t wait to think Alexis and Alex tomarrow. But for now its time to rest. Goodnight Aqua." said Pearl.
"Goodnight Pearl." said Aqua as she turned out the lights in the room.

Chapter four: bye bye Aqua and Pearl

It’s been a week since Aqua and Pearl took Dorothy out on the lake. Since then, Ariel had taken them to see Squirtle's, Wartortle's, and Blastdoise's. Totadile's, Croconaw's, and Feraligatr's. Mudkip's, Marshtomp's, and Swampert's. Piplup's, Prinplup's, and even Empoleon's. But the week passed way too fast. At the end of the week, Aqua and Pearl had completed their school work. The teacher told the rangers, "There is nothing more they can learn here. Its time you take them to a new school." so the rangers set Aqua up a place at rangers school. The old school through them a goodbye party. Everyone said there goodbye's to the girls. Since poke’mon are not allowed to be kept at rangers school, Pearl's staying with Ariel and her family until Aqua graduates. Luckily since there is an ocean area in the ranger school, and since its still the same ocean, Pearl can visit Aqua any time she wants. As Alexis and Alex dropped Aqua off at ranger school(its an all day school), Alexis was crying inside. And Aqua somehow knew it. So when saying goodbye, Aqua did the one thing she knew would make them the happiest. She said, 'Bye mom, bye dad." as she ran off inside. She was right. That made those two the proudest rangers in Almia. 'Now, onto a new school' thought Aqua as she entered the large building.

Chapter five: Ranger School

"Class, we have a new student today. Her name is Aqua Water Finneon. Please make her feel at home." said Mrs. April. "Aqua, you can sit in the seat next to Siman." she said while pointing to the seat at the end of the first left row. Aqua sat down next to a boy with blond hair, blue eyes, tan skin, and with a robot in his hands. He was fixing it by the look of it.
"Ok class, today we will get out beginner styler's!" said Mrs. April. The whole class cheered. Mrs. April got a large box and started to pass out styler's. "Now lets go to the training course and see how good at caching poke’mon you are." said Mrs. April after everyone got a styler. They went to a big shed out next to the school. There they had a pikachu waiting for them. Everyone was able to catch it but it took a few tries. Then it was Aqua's turn. "Don’t worry if you don’t get it. This is your first time." said Mrs. April. Aqua turned the styler and got it in one try. "Bravo! Bravo! You did great!" said Mrs. April.
After they got back to class Mrs. April said, "Well, that’s it for the day. Goodnight everyone. Ella, please escort Aqua to her new room. I believe you two are roommates." she said to a girl with blue eyes and brown hair.
Before she left the classroom though Siman stopped her and asked, "You must be a rare talent to get that capture on your fist try. Where are you from?'
"Purity Canyon." said Aqua proudly.
"Who are your parents?" he asked.
"Tyler and Mary Finneon." she said proudly.
"Are they really finneon?" he asked.
"Yep!" she said proudly.
All he could say then was, "Cool." and then he went back to his robot.
"Come on Aqua!" called Ella from the door.
"Ok! Coming!" Aqua called back.
When outside of the classroom, Ella took her to a staircase. "we are not allowed to go down stares but our rooms are upstairs. Come on." said Ella. When up stares Ella took a left and went into a room. Aqua followed. When inside she saw a pure pink room and two sets of bunk beds. Ella got on the top bunk of one and said, "You get the bottom." Aqua than set down and put her little bag on the bed. She was wearing her favorite aqua blue dress and ribbon so all that was in her bag was her bathing suit and nightgown. She couldn’t help but think of Pearl at the sight of the bathing suit. "Is that all you have?" asked Ella.
"Yep." said Aqua.
"You will get your school uniform tomarrow so you’ll have more soon." said Ella as she fell asleep. That night was the first night that Aqua ever slept without Pearl by her side and she whispered, "Pearl..." the whole night long.
The next mourning, Aqua got up at 5 a.m. like always but no one else was up. She woke Ella up and asked, "What do you usually do until class starts?"
"Sleep." said Ella.
"But I'm no longer tired." said Aqua.
"Then go down stares and talk to a teacher or go to the library." said Ella as she fell back asleep.
Aqua went down stares and went into the door that had the word 'library' on the front. She saw Siman and an old man inside reading. She went to a shelf and looked at the books. She pulled out one called 'Manaphy: the prince of the sea." the old man watched her carefully. Than he came over and sat down next to her. He said, "Manaphy is a legendary water type you know."
"Yes I know. I miss the water quite a bit so this book helps me feel more at home." said Aqua.
"Well, if you want to go swimming, I can take you to the ocean out front." he said.
"But wont I get in trouble for leaving the school?" asked Aqua.
"Not if you are with the Principal Lamont, you wont." he said.
"Your the principal?" she asked.
"Yes I am. now go get your swimsuit on and lets go swimming." said principal Lamont.
"Can I come?" asked Siman from the other side of the room.
"Sure, you too." said Principal Lamont. So they all went and changed into their bathing suits. When outside, the principal led them through a path to the left and then they saw the ocean, big and bright. Aqua was so thrilled to see it again that, without thinking, she ran up to it and let out a finneon call that said "Pearl! I’m at the ocean! Come here Pearl!"
"I see you speak poke’mon." said The principal.
"Yep. I was raised by them. I just called my best friend. I hope that’s ok." said Aqua.
"No its not, but we will keep it our little secret. So lets meet her." said the principal. At that moment a finneon came sprouting out of the water and landed in Aqua's arms. She said in human, "Aqua! I missed you!"
"Sorry it took me so long to find a piece of the ocean Pearl." said Aqua as she hugged a bit more tightly.
"Well, lets go swimming!" said Pearl as she jumped back in the water.
"Can I?" she asked the principal.
"Sure. But take Siman with you." he said.
"Ok. Come on Siman." said Aqua. So they all went swimming for about an hour.
Than Siman said, "We have to go now. School will start soon."
"Ok. Seeya tomarrow Pearl." said Aqua as she got out of the water.
"Ok. Seeya Aqua." said Pearl as she left.
"Your friends are nice." said Siman as they left.

Aqua went back to her room on her bed was the new ranger school uniform. She slipped it on and then went down stares to class(she is still wearing the sapphire headband). When inside the teacher said, "Today, we will have an actual ranger come and talk to us. His name is Alex." 'Alex is coming!' thought Aqua excitedly. An hour later they all went to the ocean front and Alex was standing there in front of the statue. All the kids started to ask him questions except for Aqua. Finally Ella him asked, "So how do you know Aqua?"
"Why do you think I know Aqua?" asked Alex.
"Because she isn’t asking questions." said Ella.
"Ok, so I know her. Alexis and I found her on top of Purity Canyon living with a pack of finneon and brought her back home. This was about 2 weeks ago." said Alex.
"You were raised by poke’mon?!?" asked Ella.
"Yep. Finneon raised me. You should see me in the water." said Aqua proudly.
"You really should. She a great swimmer." said Alex. "She can even hold her breath for 45 minutes. So anymore questions?"
In the end Alex left after telling everyone bye. The class seemed to look up to Aqua after that.

Its been about a month since Alex visited the school and Aqua, Siman, and Ella, have swam and met up with Pearl every night since. Today they were supposed to try and capture fire types but before class started they heard a scream. The charmander’s they were supposed to catch got lose. "Come on Pearl!" said Aqua as she grabbed Pearl out of the water and took of running toward the school. She saw that the charmander had caught the yard on fire. So why Siman caught the charmander, Aqua and Pearl put the yard out(Ella couldn’t help since she is training to be an operator not a ranger). In the end everyone was grateful to the kids for saving the school from burning down.

Chapter Six: Graduation!

Today is the day of graduation for the ranger school students. They have been through 6 months of training and are finally ready to graduate. Timothy, a bookworm, is the valedictorian of the graduating class. But Aqua, Ell, and Siman, are the 3 students the school is the proudest of this year. They all got congratulated for graduation on the front stage with Timothy. And hear is Timothy’s speech.
"Dear class,
Congratulations’ on your graduation. We have done very well this year as a class. We solved problems, fixed trouble, and stayed calm through it all. This is a great day for us all and I hope you remember this for the rest of your life. There are 3 students among you that I think disserve credit for this year. Simon and Aqua for stopping the fire that struck this school and stopped the flood that hit it to. And Ella for fixing every electrical problem we have had this year, including the full blackout. Thank you, all of you. And now, New Rangers! Come up on stage and state your name, nickname, and reason for being a ranger!"
"Ella the Electrical. I will make electricity something that is not to be feared!"
"Siman the bright. I will make new ways to help this world!"
"Alex the nice. I will keep this world Peaceful!"
"Jenny the brave. I will show courage in protecting this world!"
"Aqua the water ranger. I will protect the poke’mon and people of this world!"
After 10 more of these introductions. Everyone went to their parent to celebrate. Alex and Alexis picked up Aqua and said, "We are so proud of you!" just like any normal parent would. After a dinner at the ranger base to celebrate, Aqua and the other got there assignments. Aqua was assigned to the Summerland base in Fiore region. Ella was assigned to Fall City in Fiore region(new operator). And Siman was assigned to Pueltown in Almia region. So Aqua got Pearl, said goodbye to their friends, and headed to Summerland.

Chapter seven: Summerland

Aqua and Pearl had just arrived in Summerland when a ranger jumped up and screamed, "New bee!"
"Aww!" they both screamed.
"O sorry. Didn’t mean to scare you. I’m Percy, one of the rangers here. nice blue dress, by the way. We should get you into uniform though." said the ranger.
"Ok." said Aqua with an awkward smile.
"Lets introduce you to some rangers of Summerland first though." he said as he came to a nearby ranger. "This is Leilani a senior ranger around here."
"Nice to meet ya miss." said the ranger. Then they came to a sweaty tired ranger.
"And this is our head ranger, Cameron." said Percy.
"Aw, this must be the new bee we are supposed to get. Pretty one this time I see. Well, welcome to Summerland. We have a room prepared for you and your poke’mon up stares. Your new uniform is on the bed. Cameo is the color of Summerland, so I hope you like it." said Cameron.
"Ok. Thank you sir." said Aqua.
"I’m no sir miss. Call me Cameron. And ill call you..........what is your name?"
he asked.
"Aqua" she said.
"Ok, Aqua it is." he said as he went out to swim. (in the middle of patrol time)
Aqua and Pearl went up stares and settled into there new room, which looked exactly like the room that they used to have at the ranger union, except this one was painted blue for her.
"I wanted how they knew my favorite color?" Aqua asked Pearl.
"I’m guessing they didn’t. They probably just painted it the color that is in your name, Aqua." said Pearl.
"O yeah. Well, lets go meat the locals." said Aqua. And she didn’t mean the humans. She slipped on her bathing suit and ran out and jumped in the ocean with Pearl in arms. She meet most of the local water poke’mon that day. She heard about something called the water poke’mon capture area. She went and tried it out. She beat Cameron's high score on the first shot. Cameron was redder than usual that day.(giggle)Summerland was a great place for someone like Aqua.

Chapter eight: The Ruin Test

Aqua and Pearl were on their morning swim when they heard a rumor. The heard, "Did you hear, the ruins have been repaired! Someone fixed the damage the rangers did to the ruin test!" "Really! Hay I wonder who will do the test now?" "What about the water ranger. You know, the girl who can hold her breath under water for an hour."
"Why don’t you try it Aqua?" asked Pearl.
"Ok." so they got out of the water and went to their room. She changed into her Summerland uniform and went and got a map. Then they headed to the woods outside of the town. After facing a lot of poke’mon and challenges they finally got to the front of the ruins. There were four challenges. The first one was a rock puzzle. The second one was a water puzzle. The third one was a wind puzzle. And the forth one was a fire puzzle. After the one against a charzard, they heard a loud roar, an Entie had awakened! They went out and calmed down the Entie. It stayed with them until they got back to town and then it left them. The rangers all stared as she came back.
Cameron came up to her and asked, "I thought the ruins had collapsed. How did you get in too win the puzzle?"
"The poke’mon told us that the ruins had been fixed so we gave it a shot. It was interesting, and the Entie was so nice." said Aqua happily.
"You can talk to poke’mon?!?" asked Cameron astonished.
"Yep, and Pearl can talk human." said Aqua.
"You guys couldn’t even tell?" asked Pearl.
"No....." said Cameron embarrassed at his lack of knowledge.
"O well. Its not like it’s easy to tell." said Aqua. "Well, time we get onto patrol."

Chapter nine: Kyogre and Groudon

It’s been 3 months and Aqua and Pearl have been given a week off. They got a Dragonite to give them a ride to Purity Canyon. There they visited their family and friends. Then they got a Staraptor to give then a ride to Pueltown. There they visited Siman, Ariel, Alex, Alexis, and the poke’mon. When they stopped by wiscash (Theodor) they told him the story about the ruins and he had a new one for them.
"Once long ago, there was nothing on this planet. Until two poke’mon rose up and made water and land. Kyogre the being of water and Groudon the being of land. The two wared it out to see who was strongest until they were out of strength. In the end, they both retired to the depth of the earth and the bottom of the sea to rest and regain their strength. This was exactly 1000 years ago. They will soon arise and regain the duel and start to destroy the world like in the past. Or that’s what the legend says at least." said Theodor.
Soon after they all heard a loud thump from under the water. It was Kyogre!
"Lets stop that beast!" said Pearl. Aqua nodded in agreement. Aqua went down there and after much hard work, finally calmed Kyogre down. He then went back to the bottom of the ocean to rest. At this moment up on the surface, Siman was taming Groudon. When they met up, Aqua told him the tale and he nearly fainted at the thought of what he had calmed down. Soon after Aqua took a Salemance to Fall city to visit Ella, and then went back home to Summerland. It was an interesting break.

Chapter ten: The Beast of the Sea

It’s been 3 months since the Groudon and Kyogre incident. And today, Theodor and Ariel came to visit Aqua and Pearl. Theodor told everyone a lovely story.
"Long ago there was a creature at the bottom of the sea. The beast of the sea, Lugia. He is said to only come to the surface if all three of the legendary birds Zapdos, Moltress, and Articuno, come together. But since the birds hate each other it hardly ever happens. I wonder if you 3 can go see him?" said Theodor.
"Why not. Lets try. Want to come Ariel?" asked Pearl.
"Sure. Why not." said Ariel. So Aqua went and got permission from professor Hastings so that they could go see Lugia. But only if they got its data(ranger captured it). So they all set off(except for wiscash who went home). They came to an island. Aqua looked at the waterproof map in her waterproof backpack and said, "That is Thunder Island. Zapdos lives there." they swam a way and found another island. "That is Fire Island. Moltress lives there." said Aqua. They swam and came upon another island. "That is Ice Island. Articuno lives there." and after a while they found a very dark patch of water. "And this is were we need to dive." said Aqua as she started to dive. They swam down deeper and deeper until the only light was coming from Aqua's waterproof flashlight from her backpack. They came upon an underwater cave and went inside. They saw a large sleeping beast.
Pearl swam up to it and said, "Excuse me sir. Are you Lugia?"
It woke up and said, "Yes I am. And what are your names?"
"I’m Pearl and this human is my friend Aqua. She will drown if she tries to talk. And this Horsea is my friend Ariel." said Pearl.
"Nice to meet you sir." said Ariel. "We all came to meet you. Derek has held her breath for a really long time so she could meet you."
"So I see. Well, let me save her some time and take her back to the surface." said Lugia as he swept them all up with one wing and swam to the surface. At the surface he said, "You all seem to have pure hearts. Would you like to meet the legendary birds?"
"But I thought that the didn’t meet because they hated each other." said Ariel.
"No, but since their elements don’t mix well they thought it would be best not to meat so often. But I’m sure they wouldn’t mind just once. After all, they would get to meet 3 rare water poke’mon." said Lugia.
"But, I’m not a water poke’mon......" said Aqua sadly.
"No, but you have the heart of one and that’s what counts." said Lugia. Then he let out a call. Soon after 3 large birds gathered.
"Zapdos! Moltress! Articuno!" said Pearl happily.
"Nice to meet you." they all said.
"What an interesting human. She seems to have extremely strong lungs. You must be able to hold your breath for a long time." said Zapdos.
"Yes thank you for the compliment." said Aqua.
"And she understands poke’mon. What an amazing girl." said Articuno?
"I wonder how much heat she can withstand." said Moltress.
"Aqua has walked through fields on fire. I bet she could handle a volcano." said Pearl proudly.
"Amazing." said Moltress. They talked for a while and then the birds left after Aqua got there capture data. And all of them even gave her one of their feathers. She got lugia's data and feather too.
When they were planning to swim home, Lugia said, "How about I give you a ride back?"
"That would be great! Thank you!" They all three said. When they got dropped into the ocean outside of Summerland by a Lugia. Even the poke’mon were surprised. 'She really is a protégée' thought Cameron.

Chapter eleven: the creator

Professor Hastings wanted someone to get him data on all the legendary poke’mon. Than, it hit him! Aqua and Pearl! They had gotten him data on Groudon, Kyogre, Lugia, Zapdos, Moltress, Articuno, and Entie, already! Why not get them to find the rest! So he called them down to the ranger union and said, "You two and Siman are top rangers now. And your friend Ella is a top operator. I want you to find info on all the legendary poke’mon you can. You can start with the three legendary beasts and the creator. Lets see if you can beat Siman too it."
"Ok" they said and headed down to see Theodor.
They asked him about the tale and he said, "once long ago there was nothing. But then a single egg appeared. From that egg hatched one. It created two creatures named dialga and palkia, which are time and space. And they created 3 creatures named uxie, mespirit, and azelf. The are knowledge, emotion, and willpower. It also created two creatures named groudon and kyogre, or land and water. It also created darkrai and cresilia or dark and light. It created everything! And then it went into an eternal sleep. The only way to wake it up is to get a clear wing and visit the 3 legendary beasts to turn it into a rainbow wing. Entie, Raikou, and suikune. Then you must go to the tower of Ho-oh in Johto region. Only then may you meet Ho-oh the creator. I actually have a clear wing. I have no use of it so you can have it." Then he gave them a clear wing.
"Thanks Theodor. Seeya!" said Pearl as they left. They than headed to see Entie up in the ruins. he gladly made the clear wing a lava wing and told them that they could find Raikou on top of the Croma ruins. They went and calmed down the Raikou. He than made the Lava wing a Sunset wing and told them they could find Suikune at Ice lake. So they went to ice lake and calmed down suikune. He made their sunset wing a Rainbow wing and sent them on there way to Ho-oh's tower. When at the top of Ho-oh's tower, Aqua held up the Rainbow wing. A large bird landed in front of them. "Who has summoned me." it asked.
"We have. I am Aqua and this is Pearl." said Aqua.
"Have you come to defeat me or catch me?" it asked.
"No. Not forever. I need to befriend you and get info on you. I’m a poke’mon ranger. Do you know what that is?" asked Aqua.
"Yes. And I will allow you to befriend me but if you abuse that freedom you will face the penalty." it said.
"I understand." said Aqua as she caught it and got its data. Afterwards she quickly realized it.
"It was nice to meet such a pure human and poke’mon. I bid you ado." said the Ho-oh as it flew off.

Chapter twelve: Dialga and Palkia

Back at the ranger base professor Hastings congratulated them on getting the data first. But this time they would be on a different search. He had already sent Siman and his porygon after palkia. And they would search for dialga. So they went to Theodor and asked about it and he said, "Dialga is the being of time and palkia is the being of space. In order to find either you need to befriend uxie, mespirit, and azelf. They are at lake Varity, lake Accuracy, and lake Valor." after that the girls left.
They ran into Siman and Troy (porygon) at Lake Varity. They decided to get the friendship of the poke’mon together. They then got mespirit, uxie, and azelf. The poke’mon told them to head to spear pillar at the top of Mount Coranet. So they traveled up there with a teleport from mespirit. When up there the three poke’mon called upon dialga and palkia. When the two great poke’mon landed in front of them they said, "Who dares call upon us?" to Siman, that was just a roar.
"I am Aqua and this is Pearl, Siman, and Troy. We call upon you. We were sent to gather info on you two. We are poke’mon rangers. Will you allow us to befriend you?" asked Aqua.
"Yes. But you must not ever betray us or you will face our wrath." said dialga and palkia.
"Understood." said Aqua as she captured and realized them. Later she told Siman what they said.

Chapter thirteen: lost sister

After Aqua, Pearl, Siman, and Troy, got the data on dialga and palkia, they went to the ancient ruins and got data on Regirock, regice, registeel, and regigas. And they even went to a volcano in the Sinnoh region and got the data on heatran. The four of them became a happy team. But on their way back from Sinnoh they found a latios unconscious on the ground. The took him to a nearby poke’mon center until he woke up.
When he woke up, Aqua asked, "Are you ok?"
"Yes." he said.
"That’s good." she said.
"You speak poke’mon?" he asked.
"Yes. Now where is latias. Latios and latias always travel together so where is your sister and or wife?" asked Aqua.
"My sister and I were going over Iron Island and got attacked by a mad steelix. We got blown in different directions. Please help me find my sister." said the Latios.
"Well, if she got blown in the opposite direction, at the same speed, I know where she is." said Troy.
"Well, take us than." said Pearl. Aqua got a dragonite to carry them and Troy led it to a spot out in Kanto region. It was opposite the spot that latios was blown. And there, they found an unconscious latias. They took her to a poke’mon center and when she recovered, they both said, "Thank you poke’mon rangers."
"It’s what we do." said Siman after Aqua translated for him.
"But we still want to give you something in return." said Latios.
"Well, Aqua has a collection of feathers at her home. Why don’t you each give her one of her feathers?" asked Simon.
"Ok." so they each gave Aqua a feather.
"Thank you both." said Aqua.
"We are the ones thanking you." said latias.

Chapter fourteen: Dark and light

Today Aqua, Pearl, Siman, and Troy, were assigned to the little city of Canalave. Its a lovely little port city but it was having some problems with a darkrai and couldn’t find a creselia to help. So they all went to Fullmoon Island to find a creselia. When at the peak of a cliff they found a shrine to creselia, and from behind it, she appeared. She came and landed in front of her shrine and asked, "To what do I owe the honor of having 4 pure hearts in front of me?"
"Darkrai is reeking havoc in Canalave city. We were sent to find you." said Pearl.
"I will go fix that right now. After all, I am the crescent moon. Its my duty." said creselia as she flew off. She scared Darkrai out of Canalave and asked the rangers, "So what can I do for you all to say thanks for coming and getting me?"
"No need to thank us. Its out duty to help." said Aqua.
"Yes but you still disserve something. How about I give each of you one of my feathers? They scare off nightmares." she said as she gave them each one of her feathers. "Well. Goodbye." she said as she disappeared into the moonlight.

When they all got back home, Siman and Troy went to bed. So did Pearl. But Aqua set up a little later. She had gotten a necklace string from Chairperson Erma, and is stringing together all the feathers she has. She put on Lugia's silver wing, Moltress's red wing, Zapdos's yellow wing, and Articuno's blue wing. Than in the middle she put a miny dream catcher. Than she put on Ho-oh’s rainbow wing, and latias and latios red and blue wings, and Creselia's wing. There was someone special she was planning on giving it to.

Chapter fifteen: Happy Birthday Aqua!

long ago when Aqua had been found by Alexis and Alex she told them her birthday(she still knew it). Its now her 11th birthday and everyone is getting ready. Ella and her new partner Jolt (a rotom) were getting the lights on the roof of the ranger building ready. Siman was helping set up the food (he is a good cook). And Alex and Alexis were keeping Aqua and Pearl occupied by taking them to an aquarium (it worked). When she came back and they surprised her with the party she was surprised and thrilled. She thanked everyone for it. For some odd reason, after the party, when Aqua and Pearl were swimming in the ocean, they saw an absol on shore. "I wonder why an absol is here. They only appear before a great tragedy." said Aqua.

Chapter sixteen: Giratina in Firina

Today the team is going to Firina. A place created by a Jirachi, a poke’mon that wakes only once every thousand years. Since it is not the time of year, the team is not there for that. An upset Giratina is going insane in Firina. Causing trouble everywhere. They went to Firina and Calmed in down, "Thank you. You can visit my home anytime you like." it said before it left. They took a look at the stone Jirachi was in before they left. And right as they were leaving Firina, Aqua saw that same absol again. 'What is coming?' Aqua wondered to herself.

Chapter seventeen: Star watching

Its 10 o'clock at night and the team is laying on top of the ranger base watching the stars through a telescope. Tonight is the night that rayquaza and doexys pass over the ranger base(they are finally getting along.) Although Troy and Pearl have fallen into an unwakeable sleep. (in truth, neither of the poke’mon are actually asleep. They are just trying to get their partners to admit their feelings) Sadly their partners are extremely hard headed. That night after both of their partners had gone to bed, they went and visited Solith(solrock) and Lunith(lunitone), Alexis's and Alex's partner poke’mon. You see, about 3 years ago, these two poke’mon set up a romantic scene and got their partners to admit their feelings. Pearl went to them and asked, "I know it’s been awhile but can you remake that scene?"
"For who?" they asked.
"Aqua and Siman. They are hopeless." said Troy.
"Sure. If its for the kids." they said.

Chapter eighteen: Steelix rampage

There was a large steelix rampaging out on mount couranet. The team was called in. They calmed them down but at a price. One got Siman with a hyper beam. Aqua did her best healing and the wound went away, but he wouldn’t wake up. Aqua then saw the absol as they left. He said, "I warned you. Sorry for your trouble." When they got him to a hospital, the doctor said he was in a deep Acoma. Everyone was upset but no one more so than Aqua. She figured out why as she cried over him. While in Acoma there was one person that Siman wanted to see more than anyone. And while in coma, he figured out why. He woke up a week later. They both wanted to tell each other their feelings but they needed the mood. And one day their poke’mon did just that. Hear what they did.
First, in order to get their partners to the place, they got a Loudred to do a distress call and made sure only their partners heard it. Second, after Siman and Aqua came running to help, the loudred disappeared. Third, when they were in the right place (still without knowing), (the place is at the top of the ranger station at the sparkling blue lake at midnight, under the full moon) Troy then used Earthquake to block the exit (temporarily). Forth, they got some Illumise and Volbeat to do a courtship dance over the lake. Fifth, they got some Ladian to light up every tree nearby. Next, they got some Bellossom to do a dance in front of the lake while Roselia planted neon blue, glowing flowers, in front of the lake. Next, Pearl used water gun and bubble beam to make a water heart come out of the lake. And last, Troy carved rock into a flat, square, sitting place, in front of the lake. You see while in her room, Aqua had been looking at the dream catcher necklace, wondering when she would be able to give it to Siman. And while in his room Siman had been holding the sapphire necklace he had made and wandering when he could give it to Aqua. And as they came running out they forgot to put them down. So as they went over and sat down on the stone square, Siman said, "I have something to give you."
"Me too. Let’s do it at the same time." said Aqua. So they exchanged there gifts.
"I made it for a reason. I want to tell you why." said Aqua.
"Me too. Let’s say it at the same time." said Siman.
"I have fallen in love with you!" they both said. And under the moon light they kissed, just like Alex and Alexis before them.
and again, every poke’mon in the ranger base screamed, "Finally." and even though Siman didn’t understand them like Aqua did, he got the message and giggled too.

Chapter nineteen: Celibe's tour

One day, a Celibe appeared in front of Aqua and Pearl. She said, "My name is Celcia the Celibe. I am a servant of dialga. He has told me to come to you and
take you on a time tour to show you the parts of your past that you don’t know as a reward for never betraying any of the legendaries. For one, why the rangers came to Purity Canyon in the first place, and where your birth parents are today. So lets go." she took them to a battlefield and showed them the story behind the creatures there(poke’mon the first movie and poke’mon mewtwo strikes back and all of ash's story up to that point). "This is why the rangers came." and then she showed them a picture of two sad scientists looking at DNA samples.(a blue haired and brown eyed man and a brown haired and blue eyed woman) "And these are your birth parents. They still miss you."
And then she showed them all of Ash's story up to this point in time(poke’mon db galactic battle)"I just showed you this for fun. That is the rest of that rare boys story so far." And then she took them back home and sat them down. "I hope you enjoyed the tour. Go see your birth parents now, don’t make that reward useless." said Celcia as she left.
At that moment Aqua got a dragonite and went strait for professor oak's lab in Kanto region. She let the dragonite go and knocked on the door. An old man answered and said, "O my. Before we talk, lets get that finneon in some water."
"Thank you." said Pearl.
"O my. It talks. What an honor it is for me to meet a talking poke’mon." said the man.
"Your professor Oak. Right?" asked Aqua.
"Yes I am. To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?" he asked as he put Pearl in a lake out front.
"I need to speak to two of your helpers. Amanda and Ryan Chanla." said Aqua.
"Ok. Right this way." he said as he led her to a workshop. She saw the people from the vision on the tour.
She walked up to them and said, "Hay mom, dad. I found my way home."
They dropped everything they were doing and looked strait up. It was true! Their precious daughter had found her way home 7 years after they had lost her. They jumped up and took her in a tight embrace. "How did you get here?" asked her dad.
"I took a dragonite." said Aqua.
"How?" asked her mom, still without letting go.
"I’m a Summerland top ranger. I can capture one easily." said Aqua.
"You’ve come a far way since the day we lost you I see." said her mom.
"Ill say." said her dad.
"I’m happy. Now I have 3 sets of parents." said Aqua.
"And a lot to tell this set." said her mom.
"Ill say." said Aqua.
It’s been a month since Aqua found her parents. She stayed with them a week telling them her life story and them they let her go home to the ranger base. She comes back and visits them once a week nowadays to catch up on things. Her life is in a peaceful way. For now.

Aqua and Pearl's POV

Aqua and Pearl were on their morning swim when a Phoine came up to them. "Rangers, rangers! We have an emergency!" it said.

"Calm down Jerry and tell us what happened." said Pearl.

"My mom is a Manaphy just like for every Phione. Well, mom finally got another Manaphy to help her have a Manaphy child instead of a Phione. But when the egg came, a large human came and took it with some kind of mechanical arm. He was in a fast ship too so we couldn’t catch him." said Jerry.

"We'll go get him!" said Aqua. So she jumped out of the water and ran and got her ranger outfit and backpack. She put her ranger outfit in the backpack and set off. (Being a top ranger she doesn't need permission to set off on a mission. Also, since the man went by water, she doesn't need to change out of her bathing suit.)

"The man was heading toward Sinnoh's direction." said Jerry.

"Thanks. We'll go get him." said Pearl as they started swimming toward Sinnoh.

Rose's POV; *Morning - 9:45, Perfume Shop*

"Excuse me, would you like to try our newest product?" I asked a customer; she had a beautiful Umbreon with her, the perfect Pokémon to try the first Pokémon Perfume that I created. I was reminded of Gary's Umbreon and decided to make the perfume suitable for dark types--to provide mystique, elegance and dark charm.

"Sure, I would like to try some," the woman said smiling.

"I didn't mean you Ma'am; I meant your Umbreon." I secretly smiled and continued, reading her surprised look. "You see, a friend gave me an idea; if there's perfume for people, why not perfume for Pokémon?" I held up the bottle that I previously had behind my back. It was vertical and oval-shaped, with little circular ridges, the glass was dark purple, and in curly shiny black lettering spelled out the perfume's name.

The woman gaped at the beauty of the bottle and turned to me.

"This is my first Pokémon Perfume. Great for dark types, this perfume is titled 'Moonlight Serenade', and I was wondering if your Umbreon would like to try some."

Her Umbreon nodded, and bending down to his level, I squirted some of the liquid on my palm, rubbed them together, and lightly smoothed some on the Umbreon's neck. The scent of Jasmine and roses suited him perfectly.

Needless to say, the sale was a done deal. I was doing good business when suddenly it was 12:00 and it was time for my lunch break. Closing the store, I followed Roselia and Staraptor into the garden, where they took off to play with their friends.

Sitting down in a fine chair next to the enameled patio table, I held a Glameow in my lap and ate my lunch. I suddenly remembered something. Beckoning to Charizard, I asked him to do something. "Charizard, I'm expecting a box of fresh ocean sea salt from the next incoming ship. Could you please head to the harbor in Sunnyshore City and get that?"

Charizard nodded in response and promptly took off.

I settled back down and petted Glameow, continuing to plan my afternoon.

Aqua and Pearl's POV

Aqua and Pearl were following the direction that Jerry pointed when all of a sudden they came to a river. They kept swimming and it got narrower. Soon they were out of the river and on land. They kept walking and came to a town; together they read the town sign.

"Veilstone City huh?" said Aqua as they kept walking into the town.

"Sounds interesting." said Pearl as they went.

Charizard's POV

Charizard was hovering through Veilstone, carrying the box of ocean sea salt Rose had asked him to retrieve.

He heard talking and turned to look. To his surprise, he saw a girl with pale skin, long aqua blue hair and eyes walking in front of him on his right. She wore a Ranger's uniform and was holding a Finneon. From what he overheard, it appeared they were on a mission.

An image of his mistress suddenly flashed in his head. There was no doubt that Rose would be able to help them! He would let them know that Rose could help them, but he wouldn't say her name; she could do that herself. Idea firmly fixed in his mind, he flew into the air and started to fly toward them, still holding the sea salt box.

Aqua and Pearl's POV

As Aqua and Pearl walked along the streets of Veilstone City they saw something flying toward them. Aqua looked up and said, "It’s a Charizard. What does he want with us?"

"No clue. Lets ask." said Aqua.

As the Charizard landed he said to Pearl: "You seem to be on a mission. Do you think my mistress could help?"

"I would like to ask around and see if anyone has seen the man we are looking for. Does your mistress see a lot of the happenings in this town?" asked Aqua.

The Charizard was stunned. Then he asked: "Do you understand me?"

"Yes." said Aqua.

Then he said: "My mistress sees a lot of what happens in this town. Maybe she saw who you are looking for. If you follow me I will lead you to her. "

"That would be a great help. Thank you," said Pearl as the Charizard flew up and they followed behind him on foot.

Rose's POV; *Afternoon - 12:30, Pokémon Perfume Shop*

I was sitting in my chair; the Glameow had left a few moments ago, patiently waiting for Charizard to return. I watched the Water Pokémon play, a little smile playing on my mouth, when the doorbell rang.

"Huh? That can only be Charizard...but he usually flies to where I am. I'm going to have to go check this out." I stood up and exited the garden, heading through the backyard double doors, through the house, and made it to the front door.

Unlocking the door and opening it, I was met with an intriguing sight. Charizard was there, standing with my box of sea salt. But next to him was...

A girl with long aqua blue hair, matching eyes and pale white skin stood next to him, holding a Finneon in her arms. She looked like she was eleven years old and wore a Ranger uniform. Around her neck was a sapphire necklace; the jewel flashed a little in the light.

I gave her a brief once-over and then opened my mouth to speak.

Aqua and Pearl's POV

We followed Charizard to a house and he said, "Ring the door bell."

So we did; after we rang it a girl who looked like she was thirteen years old answered the door. She had pale skin, long mint hair and Emerald green eyes, and was wearing a pretty black and white frilly maid-like uniform.

We looked at her, and she looked back at us, taking in our sudden appearance. After giving us a quick once-over, her mouth opened to speak to us.

Rose's POV

"Charizard, I see you've managed to bring some people home." An amused smile was on my face as I turned to look at my Pokémon. "Ah, and you've brought the sea salt like I requested. Thank you, you may head to the back."

Charizard flew up and through the open front door, leaving me with the girl and her Finneon. Our eyes locked, and she bowed.

"It’s nice to meet you. We're sorry to intrude but we need some help. We are Pokémon Rangers after an egg thief. Can you help us; we need some info on this town."

"Oh no, you're not intruding at all; I gathered that you were a ranger...Please, follow me." I turned around and walked through the store, listening to the girl's gasps of amazement as she looked at the tasteful displays, housing glittering and sleek bottles. Pristine shelves reflected us, and I could see her open mouth.

"If you don't mind, would you like to be in the backyard? I'm sure you'll find it to your liking." We had made it to the double doors, and behind it was laid a paradise for Pokémon and humans alike.

"Sure." I smiled at her response; she doesn't have any idea what's in store for her. "Welcome," I said throwing open the door, "to my garden."

And before her was a lush paradise, complete with a glossy wood deck patio and some suitable furniture, including some fine chairs around the enameled patio table.

Aqua and Pearl's POV

When Aqua and Pearl saw her backyard they couldn’t help but gasp--It was simply breathtaking; they couldn't find any words to describe it.

"The natural half is nearly as pretty as back on Purity Canyon." said Pearl.

Aqua noticed the girl looked at Finneon with mild surprise, but didn't freak out like other people would've; in fact, she looked pleased with her. "Thank you."

Aqua was inclined to agree with her partner. "Yeah it is. You all must have put a lot of work into it." said Aqua as she turned to the girl wearing the maid-like outfit.

"Not really; believe it or not, it was already like this when we came. Even the patio--we just brought in new patio furniture." The girl said smiling at Aqua. "Please, come have a seat."

Aqua sat down on one of the deck chairs, noticing that the girl sat down in a chair that had a plate with some food already missing some parts. Aqua was also surprised when she saw a Glameow appear (seemingly out of nowhere) and settle on the girl's lap, purring peacefully.

"Well, on to business," Aqua said looking serious, "have you seen a large man with a mechanical arm and a glowing blue Pokémon egg come by recently? We need to find him immediately before the egg hatches." said Aqua.

Rose's POV

I starting petting the Glameow in my lap; after hearing what she said, I chuckled dryly. "How could I not miss him? Yes, I did see him today."

"Great! Your Charizard was right."

"Hmm? What do you mean by that?" I was confused, and my face showed it.

"Well, he said that you see a lot of what's happening in this city."

I quietly laughed. "Ah, Charizard, showering me with compliments," I turned around and fondly looked at said Pokémon, who was flying around in the sky with other Flying Type Pokémon, "I don't get out often since I'm busy running the store, but I do know a lot of the city happenings."

The ranger digested this for a moment, and then spoke up, "Well, can you tell us where you've seen him?"

"Sure, but first, may I know the name of the Pokémon Ranger I'm helping?" I folded my hands together while my eyes looked full on at the ranger's aqua colored eyes.

"Oh, right; sorry. My name's Aqua; and the Finneon is--"

"Pearl," I filled in for her, eyes on the Finneon, whose mouth had dropped open.

"How did you...?" Aqua trailed off, staring at me with apparent disbelief.

"Like I said, I know a lot. Now to move on to the man."

"Right, we're listening," Aqua gave me her upmost attention, eyes focused on me.

I smoothed my outfit, and then started to speak. "Well, I was outside, in the very place I'm sitting, eating my lunch and watching the Pokémon play. I had sent Charizard to fetch the sea salt I needed. All was normal, when I saw something moving in the forest. When I looked closer, I saw that it appeared to be a man with a mechanical arm. It was quite obvious he was up to no good." I frowned, recalling the incident. "He scared a few of the forest Pokémon; luckily no one was hurt. I do believe he was carrying a blue glowing Pokémon egg. But one thing though."

"What would that be?"

I smiled. "It's a Manaphy egg, isn't it?"

Aqua and Pearl's mouths fell open; I had shocked them again.

Aqua and Pearl's POV

"You do know a lot. Yes it is a Manaphy egg; Pearl and I are trying to get it back to its mom." said Aqua after a second as she recovered from shock.

"How did you know that?" asked Pearl.

"I have my ways." said the uniformed girl with a wink.

"Ok. Well, we’re going after it. We want to catch it now before the egg hatches and we also want it to see its mom first--not him. Manaphy will think he is its mom and we will fail if we don’t get it now." said Aqua as she stood up to go. "Thank you for your help."

"Wait a minute," said the girl as she stood up, "is Pearl your only Pokémon? I know that since you're a Ranger, you can enlist other Pokémon to help, but do you have other Pokémon of your own?"

"No, Pearl is my only Pokémon--he's my partner; don't worry, we can handle this on our own." Aqua was getting confused and wondered what she was getting at.

"No, you cannot handle this on your own," the mint-green haired girl said firmly. "The Pokémon you capture with your Styler only help you once and then they have to be released. You need to have at least one other Pokémon to help you."

She said with such an air of knowing that Aqua wondered if she had a parent who was a Ranger. But where was Aqua going to get a Pokémon on such short notice? "Um, but where am I going to be able to get a Pokémon?"

The girl just grinned and said to Aqua, "You'll see." She turned on her heels, walked down the patio steps, and disappeared into the garden, heading towards the forest.

A few minutes later, she came back, holding a Healing Ball. "This is going to be your other Pokémon. Say hello to Torterra!" When she said that, the girl tossed the ball into the air, sending a Pokémon out. When it hit the ground, Aqua saw that it was huge. "Torrrr!" proclaimed the Pokémon loudly.

"That is one big Pokémon. How did he get here?"

"He used to be the partner of a trainer; but the trainer had to leave him when him and his family moved," she placed a hand on Toterra's back, "he found his way into this garden and he's stayed ever since. His owner, frightened that something had happened to him, came back and found him here. He was glad that Torterra was unhurt, so he let him stay here."

"He looks strong," Pearl said.

"He is very powerful; he will be a good Pokémon to have on your journey."

Aqua and Pearl's POV

I watched as she returned Torterra and tossed the Poké ball to me. Catching it, I asked, "Are you letting me keep him?"

"Of course not; this is his home. Be sure to return him when you're finished alright? Since he's in a Healing Ball, his energy will heal whenever he's put in it."

"Are you sure?" I still wasn't positive about accepting Torterra.

"Absolutely; he's a trooper--cooperative and helpful. He won't give you a problem. I would've liked to come, but I can't leave the store." She escorted us from the deck down into the garden, leading us to the forest.

I prepared to leave.

"I'll send a Pokémon every now and then to check up on you."

"Thanks a lot," I said gratefully. "By the way, you never told us your name."

The girl smiled mysteriously. "I was wondering when you would mention that. I was going to wait a while. My name is Rose."

"Well Rose, it was great to meet you; we better get going."

Rose bent down, patted Pearl's head, straightened up and waved as we sped off through the forest, calling out her departing words. "Good luck; and be careful!"

Aqua and Pearl's POV

After they left Rose at the store the team went into the woods. After they were a ways in the forest Aqua let the Torterra out. "So what should we call you for now?"

"Well, my trainer called me Torterra, and so does Rose, so I guess that’s my name," he said.

"Ok, I guess it is. Let’s gets going then!" Pearl said happily as they raced off into the woods together.

They continued their trek through the woods when they came to a strange building. One look at it and Aqua said, "It's a walking submarine. I'm positive. This kind of metal is used for underwater exploration and this vehicle also has tires that have a strange type of flexible metal. I'd say that it comes up and can become either legs or water floaters."

"How does she know all that?" asked Torterra looking at Pearl for an answer, which he got.

"Aqua convinced Simon to tell her all the info he could on underwater exploration crafts. She doesn't need them but she prefers knowing this sort of stuff. It seems to have come in handy here." said Pearl.

"Yeah, I'll say." said Torterra slightly impressed.

Aqua continued on with her mini lecture, "This is a hand built model; so the door could be anywhere. But in order to fit the design it would have to be..." Lost in thought, she walked up to the side of the building and touched a part of the sub. "Here," and as she pressed a door slid open in the side.

"Wow, she knows her stuff." said Torterra.

"It's her job to," said Pearl with a smile.

They went inside and came across 6 different evil looking henchmen guarding the door.

"Well, it looks like we're going to have to fight," said Torterra, always loving a good battle.

"Yep," said Pearl.

Aqua then jumped up and kicked one henchman in the guts before he could do anything. Another henchman managed to let out a Crobat that Pearl hit with Water Gun and knocked it out. And then Aqua took out the henchmen. Another was also able to get his Pokémon out; it was a Kingler. Torterra used a vicious Razor Leaf attack and took it out with one hit.

"Good One!" Aqua shouted to Torterra as she fought and took out another henchman.

When they defeated all the henchmen there, they ran to the back of what was apparently a hideout. A single door lay open, swinging on its hinges; no one was there.

"We missed him!" said Aqua as the human and Pokémon took off through the door into the forest trying to track the thief. They needed to find him, for he could have more of these bases and machines. And if they failed tracking him, he could get away with his crime.

Rose's POV; *Afternoon - 1:10, Perfume Shop*

Unusually, it was a slow day in the perfume store, having sold only two bottles of 'Ocean Wave' and one of 'Falling Sakura'. However, three bottles of 'Moonlight Serenade', my first Pokémon Perfume had been sold as well. But nevertheless, it was slow this afternoon.

I thought about Aqua, Pearl and Torterra. They had left about fifteen minutes ago; it was about time I send a Pokémon to check up on them and possibly give them some help.

Heading into the backyard, I called for Staraptor. When he had arrived, I bent down and stroked his handsome head. "Staraptor, I take it you heard the conversation between myself and Aqua, the Pokémon Ranger, correct?"

"Starr," the response came out.

"Good, then I assume you know what to do because I've called you over?" I smiled proudly when Staraptor proudly flapped his wings as if ready to fly.

"Good man, hop on." Staraptor hopped onto my extended arm, much to my arm's dismay. "Whoa; you've gotten big lately," I walked carefully to the edge of the patio and held out my arm farther. "Now Staraptor, I want to tell you one more thing."

He turned his regal head and locked eyes with me.

"If you see the guy they're going after--attack him. But don't hurt the egg, instead, catch it on your back if it falls," he listened intently to my words and seemed to radiate happiness at the prospect of knocking a criminal off his feet.

I grinned a little bit; "Ready now? Okay--fly!!" I threw my arm into the air, and there was a burst of wind around me as his powerful wings lifted him up and away. I watched the now dark brown blur take off.

I dusted my hands off as I went back into the store, thinking to myself, 'He won't know what hit him--literally.'

Aqua and Pearl's POV

The team of Pearl, Aqua and Torterra were hot on the trail of the egg thief; but unluckily, they were no closer then when they had started chasing him out of his hideout.

"We need to keep it up, sorry if we're tiring you out Torterra," Aqua panted while running through the forest.

"Don't worry; I'm not a bit tired." Torterra easily kept the pace, despite his size, "I'm very fast for a Torterra."

"Great!" Pearl said; "Let's keep it up!"

They kept running through the forest.

"Did you hear--?" Torterra started, but then was cut off when a shriek pierced the air.

"It came from this way--it sounded like a man!" Aqua and the Pokémon took off, getting closer to where they had heard the scream.

"Do you think it’s the man who stole the Manaphy egg?" asked Torterra, turning his head to face the young Ranger.

"I think so."

They arrived at a part of the forest where there weren't as many trees, and stopped to stare.

In the middle of that part was the man, mechanical arm grasping the Manaphy egg, looking up into the sky in absolute terror.

Pearl, out of inquisitiveness, looked up as well and stared, eyes wide. "Guys..."

Heads tilted up, and gaped at the sight. A big, regal Staraptor, was circling the air above the man, eyes seeming to pierce right through the man's soul.

Giving a cry of "Starrr!" the Pokémon dove down in a graceful arc, a bright light streaming out in front of it, the man in his sights.

"It's doing Aerial Ace; and its heading right for the man! But I don't think its going to hurt the egg--just him!" Pearl called out.

"I know that Pokémon; I've seen him before!" Torterra said as the three of them watched as the Staraptor came right for the man, a gleam in his eyes.

The egg remained in the mechanical arm as the Aerial Ace hit the man in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him. The Flying Type pulled up easily after he delivered the blow and started circling again, getting ready for his next attack.

Aqua and Pearl's POV

The Staraptor hit the man again with Aerial Ace and soared up again but as it striked him, the egg was knocked out of his hands. Staraptor was too far away to get it in time!

"Bubble!" Aqua shouted to Pearl as soon as she saw the event happening. Pearl performed the technique and the Bubble caught the egg in mid air.

The Staraptor sighed in relief. "Thanks a lot miss!" it shouted down.

"No, thank you. You must be the Pokémon that Rose said she would send, right? You helped a lot." said Aqua with an innocent heartwarming smile.

But unfortunately at that moment the man recovered and knocked Aqua against a tree with his arm.

Torterra instantly attacked with a strong Hyper Beam and knocked the man over once more.

Aqua was already up and ready again so she ran up and grabbed the precious egg out of the air. Tossing it to the Staraptor she shouted, "Take it back to Rose! Tell her to keep it safe! Also tell her to try not to touch it to much! It might hatch!"

Once again the man recovered and attacked her once more as the Staraptor flew off. Aqua evaded and hit him with a back kick that could break a rock. "Swimming can really make you strong!" commented Aqua as she landed on the soil.

"Arrgh, do you know how hard I worked to find one of those eggs!? Now I have to go look for another one!" hollered the angered man as he ran off before Aqua could seize him.

"We have to go after him!" said Torterra urgently as he started to move ahead.

Aqua put out her hand in a stop motion. "No! That’s not our job; we just needed the egg. Once Manaphy is at home and hatches we won’t have any more problems so let’s go." said Aqua as they started the journey back to Rose's shop.

Rose's POV; *Afternoon - 1:30, Perfume Shop*

I had closed the store for a few minutes to "restock a perfume line". In reality, I raced to the outside patio, stepping into the paradise while I sent Roselia to fill up on more "Falling Sakura" perfume in my place. I knew who I was watching out for.

"Staraptor," I called watching my Pokémon descend from the air with disbelief, "do you have the egg?"

In answer, Staraptor dropped in front of me, hovering in the air. I understood what he meant without words. "I see Staraptor, I'll get a basket right away, as well as some blankets."

Once the little bed was made up, I quickly held the egg and placed it in the basket as if it was a newborn baby. I sent for Roselia, who came quickly. The dear Pokémon was worried, shown by her frequent glances at the egg.

"Roselia, I have to look after this egg until Aqua comes back. Would you mind terribly if you have to run the store for a while?" I was warmed by her nodding her head. "Good girl," I said tossing her a treat, "now get to work."

That situation taking care of, I took my same seat at the patio table and gazed at the egg. What I realized what it was doing (which it had been for some time), my eyes widened in shock and some distress.

It was glowing.

Aqua and Pearl's POV
The group dashed through the forest and back to the perfume shop, reaching the backyard landscape. Cutting through, they ran to the patio were Rose was. To their shock, the egg had started glowing.

"We have to go, NOW! Come on!" Aqua shouted as she grabbed the basket the egg was in and took off running; she called the last thing to Rose who leaped on the back of her Charizard, who was standing nearby, and took to the skies, following behind them.

Aqua ran as fast as she could to the river where she had first arrived in Veilstone. She saw that the Manaphy, and her Phoine son Jerry, were waiting for them, their eyes on the egg.

Charizard landed on the ground and Rose vaulted off him. Aqua skidded to a stop and handed Manaphy the egg, handling it touch-and-go. "It's hatching!"

"Thank you; thank you, thank you," the Manaphy gratefully said as she held her egg tightly.

"Our pleasure," chimed in Rose with a smile from behind as the egg hatched.

The shell cracked and then split open, revealing a baby Manaphy. The Manaphy looked it's mom in the eyes and smiled contentedly.

Everyone else broke into relieved and happy smiles as well.

Rose's POV; *Afternoon - 1:46, The River*
My lips parted, revealing a smile as we all looked at the Manaphy child being held by its mother. Everything was all right now.

I was standing next to Charizard and turned to look at Aqua, who was holding Pearl and smiling dreamily at the reunited family; my voice brought her out of her trance. "Since your mission is completed, I guess it's time for you to leave, huh?"

Aqua and Pearl's POV

While smiling happily at the new family, Aqua and Pearl were snapped out of their trance by Rose saying, "Since your mission is completed, I guess its time for you to leave, huh?"

"I guess so," said Aqua as she looked back at Rose.

"Well, I think its time to say goodbye," Charizard said.

"Yeah..." Pearl trailed off.

"It was nice meeting everyone Rose; let's go home Pearl." Aqua ran behind a tree. When she came back out she was wearing her swim suit and her Ranger outfit was safely tucked in her backpack.

"Why are you dressed like that?" asked Rose with a little tilt of her head.

"We swam all the way here and we need to swim home," Pearl informed them.

"You swam all the way here? That's impressive," Rose widened her eyes a bit and then smiled. "It was nice meeting you all too."

"Likewise," Aqua dove into the water alongside Pearl. And together; Pearl, Aqua and the Manaphy family (Jerry included) swam off down the river. They all heard a sound of "Chaarr!" which made them turn their heads to the left.

Rose was on Charizard, flying low to the ground, keeping up with the group. "This is fun!" Aqua laughed at Rose's cry and they traveled like that until the river emptied into the ocean. Rose hopped off Charizard and ran to the edge of the ground, where it turned into a little cliff; looking out to the ocean while the ranger, her partner and the Manaphy family swam off, heading for their home.

Rose's POV; Afternoon – 1:50, *The Cliff*
Rose started to wave to the unique group of one person and Pokémon who had stopped by Veilstone out of the blue. Suddenly, a thought came to her, making her smile with a hint of evil. "Hey Aqua; I need to tell you one more thing!"

In the water, Aqua stopped swimming and turned to look at the green eyed girl on the cliff. "What is it Rose?"

Rose's smile seemed to widen with mischief. "Say hi to Simon for me!"

Total silence for a few moments; and then: "H-How did you know about my boyfriend?!"

Rose's laugh projected over the ocean. "Like I said before, I know a lot!"

When they were out of sight, Rose chuckled and turned to Charizard. "Charizard, Aqua's gift, courtesy of the store, is en route to her Ranger Station right about now, correct?"

"Charrr."

"Perfect; it should be there before she gets back. Staraptor is powerful as you know. Good bye Aqua; everyone," saying those last words to the ocean, she hopped on Charizard's back and flew off into the sky, flying the short trip back to the perfume store.

Aqua and Pearl's POV

They swam back to the station and got out of the water. Aqua didn't even change out of her swim suit as she walked into the station.

"Oh, Aqua; there you are. You have a package!" the receptionist said.

"Oh, ok. Thank you," said Aqua with a smile as she took the small, fine box. She looked at the outside and saw that it was a gift from Rose; her eyes opened a bit more in surprise. "How could she know where the Ranger station is?" There was quiet while she opened the gift. "Oh, wow," Pearl heard Aqua say in quiet disbelief. Intrigued, Pearl leaned in to look and let out an exclamation of amazement.

Inside the small fine box, nestled in the mint green tissue paper, was a bottle of perfume. It was vertically oval shaped, with a smooth ocean blue surface. On the center of the bottle was silver writing that shone, spelling out the name of the perfume. And the silver writing spelled out: Aquamarine.

The ranger and partner looked silently at the splendid bottle for a few more moments, and then Aqua picked up a note that was lying next to the scent.

It said:

My newest line; guess who it's named after?
~Rose
P.S. You could use this for a certain someone I have in mind…

Aqua smiled and giggled, showing the note to Pearl. Reading it, Pearl looked at Aqua and said with a smile, "Looks like she has Simon in mind."

"I think you're right," Aqua blushed a little when she thought of him, fingering the sapphire necklace, "let's go Pearl; I need to let Simon know I'm back."

And together, the Ranger and her partner set off into the open, the gift from Rose back safe in its box, waiting to be used; a symbol of a completed mission...and a new friendship.
