Quick warning. Nearly everyone in this story is a ginjika or a poke’mon, and there are no parents since poke’mon and ginjika come from eggs and parents leave the eggs. PS: all the characters you see in the first chapter are 10 years old. Ok, here we go!
Chapter 1: The unconscious girls
A young boy (brown hair, green eyes, and tanned skin) and his eevee were walking up the path near his home. They were on their way to their best friends house (a boy and his totadile). But on their way they saw 2 figures in the woods off to the side. They went to see who it was. They came upon a girl and an eevee unconscious on the ground. The boy took a close look at the girl. She had long eevee brown hair, and pale white skin. She was in a brown long sleeved dress with white fur lining the bottom and sleeves. He parted her bangs with his hand to see her face and saw that she had a star on her forehead and so did the eevee. He picked up the girl and eevee and started to walk to his friend’s house. When he got to it he called, "Josh! Open up! It’s an emergency!" a boy with blue hair and a long blue tail came rushing to the door.
"What is it?!" Josh asked. And then he saw the girl. He went inside and cleared the couch in the living room. He got an icepack while the boy explained what happened. "Ryan let me get this strait. You found this ginjika and her eevee unconscious in the woods?"
"Yep. Do you know what’s wrong with them?" asked Ryan.
"Yah. A hard bump on the head. They should be up in the mourning." said Josh.
"Hay Josh, why is Tory(boy eevee) so red." asked Adam(the totadile).
"O, I guess he is just smitten with the unconscious eevee." whispered Josh into Adams ear.
"Really?!?!" whispered Adam.
"Well, I guess you can all stay here tonight." said Josh.
"Thanks Josh, thanks Adam. That’s a big help." said Ryan while still looking worriedly at the girl and the ginjika. Inside, Josh couldn’t help but giggle a bit.
Chapter 2: their awake!
Carroll felt a pain in the back of her head. She realized she was asleep. She tried to remember what happened but couldn’t. She couldn’t remember anything but her name! 'Amnesia.' she thought. She tried to wake up. It was hard but she was able to get her eyes open. She saw 2 ginjika and 2 poke’mon boys sprawled out on a bed in the next room. None of them looked familiar. Than she saw an eevee next to her. She couldn’t remember but the eevee looked familiar. She wasn’t able to figure out how she knew but she remembered the poke’mon name.
"Hope. Hope, wake up." she whispered as she shook the poke’mon gently. The eevee stirred a bit and then looked up.
"Carroll, that’s your name right?" asked the eevee.
"I think so. And Hope is your name right?" asked Carroll.
"I think so. Do you have any memory because I have amnesia." said Hope.
"Me too. All I can remember is familiar names. Where are we anyway?" asked Carroll.
"No clue." said Hope.
"Let’s ask the boys in the other room." said Carroll as she got off the couch. Hope followed. Carroll went into the other room and saw that all the boys were asleep. "Let’s wait until they get up. My as well not wake them. They'll get up sooner or later." said Carroll. She saw a kitchen nearby and said, "I know how to cook it seems. Can you too?"
"Yep. Lets go make everyone a meal." so they went into the kitchen and went to a cabinet. They found flower, sugar, and all the other basic powders. So they got a pan from another cabinet and went to a stove and started making pancakes. For some odd reason they thought that 4 boys and 2 girls could eat 18 large pancakes. So they sat down after they finished making the pancakes and started eating. They both got through half of one before they heard one of the boys waking up.
"Let me go see who is up. You keep eating." said Carroll. Carroll went into the room and saw the boy eevee ginjika was waking up. "Hi" she said while smiling.
"Wahhh!" he screamed and fell out of the bed.
"Shush! you’ll wake the others up acting like that." said Carroll.
"Sorry. By the way, your finally up!" he said excitedly.
"Yep. By the way, do you know who I am. All I can remember is my name." said Carroll.
"Nope. Sorry. We found you and an eevee unconscious in the woods yesterday and brought you here." said Ryan.
"Ok. Well that causes a problem. Neither me nor Hope can remember anything." said Carroll.
"I’m guessing Hope is the eevee." said Ryan.
"Yep. And I’m Carroll. Who are you." she asked.
"My name is Ryan and the boy eevee is Tory. The totadile ginjika is Josh and the totadile is Adam." said Ryan.
"Ok, well, can you wake them up. We made breakfast and they might want to eat it while its hot." said Carroll.
"Sure..." said Ryan awkwardly. He woke them up and they all went in for breakfast. They were shocked at the number of pancakes but ate them all up hungrily.
"So you have no memory except your names." asked Josh after dinner while they were all sitting on the couch.
"Yep." said Carroll.
"But you remembered each others name at first sight?" said Josh.
"Yep." said Hope.
"Than the solution is simple. We just need to take you to places you’ve been before. You will get your memory back if you are in familiar surroundings." said Josh.
"But, where would we start?" asked Carroll.
"How about the place in the forest I found you? You should be able to remember how you got there." said Ryan.
"Ok. Then lets go." said Adam. They all walked to the spot. At it Adam asked, "Do you remember anything?"
"Nothing sorry." said Carroll. They walked a little farther in. They came to the side of a mountain. "Where are we?"
"The side of Mount Coranet." said Josh. All of a sudden the stars on Carroll and Hope's foreheads started to glow. They started to float just a bit above the ground. Ryan and Tory started to try and get them down but Josh said, "Stop. They are getting a part of their memory back."
"If you touch them they won’t get it back." said Adam. The girls then had a flash go through their minds and then they went back to normal. When they touched ground again, all that Tory and Ryan could ask was, "What happened?!? Do you remember anything?!?"
"Yes." said Hope.
"We remember that we were talking to dialga and palkia up on top of mount Coranet in the spear pillar, when something pushed us off the mountain and nothing stopped out fall." said Carroll.
"That’s all we know. We don’t even remember what we were talking to dialga and palkia about." said Hope.
"Well, that’s a lot to take in. Lets get back to the house and we can discuss this there." said Josh.
"Sounds great." said Hope. But what they didn’t know is that why they left an absol was watching them go.
"They have a lot to go through. I wish them luck." said the Absol (Abe) as it left.
Chapter 3: the dream
Carroll was floating mid air. 'What happened?' she thought. She couldn’t speak or move. She just floated mid air. 'Help!' she tried to scream but she couldn’t. She was scared and alone and all of a sudden, she woke up! She had screamed when she woke up so everyone came storming out of the bedroom to the couch. "Are you ok?!?" asked Ryan.
"Yes. It was just an awful nightmare." said Carroll. She looked next to her and realized that Hope was still in a nightmare. "Wake up Hope!" said Carroll as she shook Hope awake.
Hope woke up screaming too. "What an awful nightmare." said Hope.
"I know. I had one too." said Carroll.
"Were you floating mid air and couldn’t move or speak in yours too?" asked Hope.
"Yep." said Carroll.
"Ok. Tell us about the nightmare." said Adam.
After the girls explained it Josh said, "It seems to be some sort of vision. We will see what it means in due time. For now, let’s go back to bed."
"We can’t sleep." said Carroll.
"Than its only fair that we stay up with you." said Tory.
"No, no. You boys go back to sleep. We will be fine." said Hope. The boys all went back to their room but neither Ryan or Tory could fall asleep because of worry. They then heard the girls in the other room. "We have to leave Carroll. We are causing them trouble and we won’t get our memories back if we stay here."
"Your right Hope. We need to leave. But lets at least leave them a goodbye note." said Carroll.
"Ok." said Hope. They went over to the table and got a note book. Carroll wrote a note and put the piece of paper on the couch were they slept. Then the girls quietly slipped out the door. The moment they were gone, Tory and Ryan jumped out of bed and ran into the other room. Ryan picked up the note and read it aloud.
It said, "Dear Boys,
We don’t want to be a burden to you all anymore. We will be on our way to find our memory. We will come back someday when we get our memory back. Until then, don’t look for us.
Your beloved friends, Hope and Carroll
"We are going after them, right?" asked Tory.
"O yah." said Ryan. He wrote on the bottom of the paper, "We are following them. Ryan and Tory." and then sat it on the couch.
"So where do we search?" asked Tory.
"Well, since they have only one memory, they must be following it. So, to the top of Mount Coranet we go!" said Ryan.
"Let’s go!" said Tory as they ran out the door after the girls. They don’t know why they didn’t wake up Josh and Adam. They just felt like they needed to do this on their own.
The next mourning Josh and Adam woke up. They went into the living room and read the note. "Two boys in love chasing after the girls of their dreams." said Josh to himself.
"Good luck guys." said Adam.
"I have a feeling they’ll need it." said Josh.
Chapter 4: Mount Coranet
Carroll and Hope finally reached Mount Coranet. They were far from the top but it was a start. (Rian and Tory are not far behind) They started to climb. They somehow knew the way up. They got about half way through when they decided to take a rest.(Ryan and Tory had caught up with the girls and decided to watch from a distance. the girls wanted to do this on their own after all so it was the least the boys could do.) But while the girls were asleep, a young cleffa decided to mess with an onix near the girls. After tormenting the onix enough the cleffa quickly escaped, but the onix was still enraged. It started to head for the sleeping girls. The boys didn’t want to give away the fact they were there to they girls so they couldn’t wake them up on their own. But the girls wouldn’t wake up. The boys did what they had to do. They ran out and attacked the onix. They did a combo shadow ball and knocked the onix out. When the girls woke up in the morning and saw the onix out cold, Carroll said, "What did we miss?"
"No clue but lets keep going." said Hope. The boys happily followed. (Still out of sight)
The girls finally made it to the top of Mount Coranet. Their memories started to come back here. They remembered something very important.
"Dialga, palkia, come on out!" called Hope and Carroll together.
The two of them appeared and asked, "What is it guys? I thought you still had amnesia?"
"We do. Mostly. But we remembered how to call you down. Could you please give us back out memories?" asked Hope.
"Sorry but we are not allowed. You are supposed to try and get them back on your own." said dialga.
"Some sort of destiny. Good luck." said palkia as they disappeared.
"Well that was no use. I guess we go to were our memories lead us." said Carroll.
"Ok. We did get back this memory of Purity Canyon. Why not go and see why we remember it?" asked Hope.
"Sure." said Carroll as they set off. Not far behind the boys were staring at them in surprise and adoration. (Can you blame them?)
Chapter 6: Purity Canyon
After taking a dragonite (and a staraptor) the girls (and boys) made it to Purity Canyon. They went to the lake in the middle of it. "This looks so familiar." said Carroll. At that moment a poke’mon ranger popped out of the lake.
"Carroll, Hope! Its grate to see you! I came back to visit the family and look who shows up!" said the ranger happily. All of a sudden a memory popped into their heads.
"Hi Aqua. Where is Pearl?" asked Hope.
"In the water with her family. Why do you two seem so out of it today? You are usually on the ball all the time, not resting at all and never confused." said Aqua.
"We have a terrible case of amnesia. We only get back memories when we see something familiar. Like you. We didn’t remember you until a second ago." said Carroll.
"Ok. Tell me what happened from the beginning." said Aqua. So they told her their tale. Afterwards, "So that’s who's in the bushes." said Aqua.
"What?" asked Carroll.
"Well, there is a boy ginjika and eevee hiding in the bushes behind you." said Aqua.
"How do you know?" asked Hope.
"Because they are behind you but are in front of me. I can see them." said Aqua.
"Why did they follow us when we told them not to?" asked Carroll.
"By the looks on their faces, they wanted to protect you." said Aqua.
Carroll turned around and said, "You can come out of the bushed boys. We know your there."
Gently they came out and Ryan asked, "How did you know we were there?"
"You were right in front of me and I told them." said Aqua.
"O, we should have hid better." said Tory.
'Well, at least we don’t have to hide anymore." said Ryan.
"You have been protecting us this whole time haven’t you?" asked Carroll.
"Sorta." said Ryan a bit embarrassed.
"Well, thank you." said Carroll and then both boys turned bright red. (These girls are clueless!)
"Since you came this far with us I guess you can stay with us." said Hope happily.
"So where do we head next? We didn’t get any new location memories here." said Carroll.
"How about you come with me. I know what town you came from. Maybe that will help." said Aqua.
"Ok! That will be a great help, thank you!" said Carroll and Hope happily.
"Even without your memory you are still the same as ever." said Aqua as she watched them get all happy. "Well, to Celadon City we go!" said Aqua.
Chapter 7: Home
"Well here we are, Celadon City." said Aqua as she got off of a dragonite. "This is your home town."
"Can you show us around?" asked Carroll.
"No, no. I decided I would leave that to your sister." said Aqua. "I have a mission to get on now anyway so seeya." she said as she flew out on the dragonite.
At that moment an Umbreon ginjika hit Carroll and Hope over the head with a newspaper. "That jog your memory miss forget me not?" she asked. A memory went through the girls.
"Alysha?" asked Hope.
"Wow, it really is that easy to jog your memories." said Alysha.
"Where is Jeriod?" asked Carroll.
"That little Jolteon is out with his friends. After all, I can’t calm our brother, only you two can." said Alysha while shaking her head.
"Well, let’s go see him!" said Hope and Carroll together. They went from the poke’mon center to the Celadon Fountain. They went to one side of it and saw a bunch of eevee evolutions playing tag (a vaporeon, leafeon, glaceon, flareon, and Jeriod).
The jolteon noticed them and ran for them, "Sissy's!" he screamed as he tackled Carroll and Hope to the ground.
"Hi Jer. How’s the old naborhood been?" asked Carroll.
"Been doing just fine. Why were you gone so long this time?" he asked.
"We got struck with a bit of amnesia." said Hope.
"But it’s all better now, right?" asked Jeriod.
"Actually, no. We only get back memories when we see something or someone familiar. We didn’t even remember you until we saw Celadon City." said Carroll sadly.
"Well, knowing you two, you are going to go on an adventure and get back your memories. Well, good luck. But who are those guys?" asked Jeriod while pointing at the boys. Hope and Carroll told the story about the woods.
"O, thanks for taking care of my sisters." said Jeriod.
"Hay Jer! Come on back and play with us!" screamed the glaceon.
"Coming Gloria!" screamed Jeriod back, "Well, seeya for now sis's." he said as he ran off.
"Ill show you around town to get back your childhood memories, and you can get your traveling memories back on your own." said Alysha.(the girls were in this city until they were eight. They only have two years of memory to get back after this.) After the tour, "So do you remember your childhood?" she asked.
"Yes. We remember playing near the fountain, and riding down the bike trail, and taking turns battling with you." said Carroll with a grin.
"It was good to get back most of out lives but we are still missing the two important years of travel. We have a lot to look for and no where to start." said Hope sadly.
"Actually, I do know were you can start." said Alysha getting there attention. "You see, you made a scrapbook of pictures and stories for us. If you follow it I bet it will take you through the last 2 years."
"That’s great! Can you bring it out here?" asked Carroll.
"Sure." said Alysha. When Carroll and Hope saw the scrapbook she brought out they remembered when they decided to start making it.
Hope opened to the first page of the book and said, "According to this, our first destination was ho-oh's tower in Johto. So I guess we go there first."
"Ok." said Carroll happily.
"Well than take care my sisters." said Alysha out load. Than she whispered to the boys as they left, "If your going to tell them how you feel you might want to do it soon. My sisters are clueless on stuff like men so you will have to make the first move."
Both boys turned bright red, "How did you know?" asked Ryan.
"Just by the way you look at them, anyone could tell. Why do you think Jeriod was so suspicious of you at first?" asked Alysha.
"O, Ok. Well try to say it." said Tory.
"Ok, good luck to you too." said Alysha. 'you’ll need it' she thought to herself.
"Come on guys!" called Carroll and Hope from on top of a dragonite.
"Coming!" they called back as they rushed to them.
"Those boys will need luck. They seem as hopeless as my sisters." said Alysha.
"I know. I hope Sis's like those boys too. I don’t want to see anyone of them coming home sad." said Jeriod as he ran by.
"Yah." said Alysha as she turned away from the flying dragonite.
Chapter 8: the scrapbook
They made it to Ho-oh's temple an hour later. They saw it was tall and started to climb. It took them two hours but they finally got to the top of the tower. When at the top the girls got back two memories. Both times they had come up here. Carroll reached in her backpack and pulled out a feather and said, "Now I remember what this is used for."
"What?" asked Ryan.
"It is a rainbow feather. It is used to call ho-oh." said Hope.
"Wow. Really?" asked Tory.
"Yep. Well, we don’t need to call him so lets just move on to the next stop." said Hope.
"Were is it?" asked Ryan.
Carroll pulled out the scrapbook and said, "lugia's sea in the orange islands."
"Well, than lets go." said Tory.
The next few days they went to lugia's sea and the three legendary birds around him. Then they went to see Dialga and Palkia's temples and the three legendary lakes. Then they went to see Kyogre and groudons sleeping grounds. After that Carroll said, "That is the end of the scrapbook but we are still missing memory."
"What are we missing and how do you know we are missing anything at all?" asked Ryan.
"Because we don’t know how we knew were to go or why we went there." said Hope.
"Maybe you just got lucky." said Tory.
"With that many legendaries, I doubt it." said Carroll.
"Well then what do you think it is?" asked Ryan.
"I remember fighting team rocket and going to see professor Oak. Maybe he can tell us." said Carroll.
"Then lets go already." said Tory as he got on the dragonite.
Chapter 9: Professor Oak
They landed at Professor Oaks lab an hour later. They went to the door and knocked. The proffessor came to the door and said, "Carroll, Hope! Come in come in and tell me what has been happening to you. You haven’t been around in months." so they sat down and told him about the past few months.
"I’m shocked that no one told you. You are the only ginjika to ever become a poke’mon ranger so far. You are their secret weapon. That is your lost memory. If you go to the ranger bases than you should get the rest of it all back." said Professor Oak.
"If that is the case then why did Dialga and Palkia not tell me that to start with. Why did we have to go on this journey?" asked Carroll.
Professor Oak looked at the boys and said, "Maybe to get your life set."
"What does that mean?" asked Hope confused(not mad).
"You two will see someday." said Oak. "Now I think its time you go see the ranger bases." said Professor Oak as he lead them to the door.
"Thank you for your help. Bye." said Carroll as they left.
Chapter 10: finally!
They went to the four ranger bases in Almia and the four in Fiore. And as said they got it mostly all back but some was still gone. So they went to the ranger school and then last the head base. There they got the end of their memory back. "We met all those poke’mon when we were on ranger missions. We are top rangers right next to Aqua and Pearl. That is why we know them so well." said Hope as her and Tory were alone at a lake while the ginjika’s went out to get the food at the market.(they wanted to stay behind)
"Well that makes since." said Tory.
"What I don’t get is why we had to get our memory back the hard way though. Why didn’t the legendaries not just give it back to us?" asked Hope.
Finally Tory got up the guts to say(and when will Ryan say this?), "Maybe, they wanted us to get to know you both while you got to know yourselves."
"Why?" asked Hope(still clueless!).
And this was hard for Tory to get the guts to say but, "Because, they wanted us to fall in love with you I guess."
It finally hit Hope(finally!). "You fell in love with me? And Ryan with Carroll?"
"Yes..." said Tory shyly. Then gently Hope lied her head on Tory's shoulder.
"Turns out, I feel the same way. I bet Carroll does too. This is the first time they will be alone. I bet Ryan will say it like you did." said Hope.
"Yah." said Tory happily and tired like.
Two miles away at the market Carroll asked Ryan, "So what do you want to eat this week?"
"How about you pick." he said.
"Ok!" she said happily as they headed to the fruits.
Afterward they went home. They got back and found Hope and Tory asleep next to each other. 'looks like he finally said it. Good for him.' thought Ryan. He saw Carroll putting the food away safely in her backpacks. He felt his heart racing and his face boiling just looking at her. It was his turn to say it. "Carroll."
"Yes Ryan?" she asked sweetly.
He turned even more red. "There is something I want to tell you." he said.
"What is it?" she asked(still clueless! Its like the girls are twins!).
"I, I, I’ve kinda fell in love with you over the time I’ve known you." he said as it finally hit her. She realized something too.
"I feel the same way to it seems." she is red now. "And it looks like you are not the first person to say this tonight." said Carroll as she looked at Hope and Tory. After she put the food away she went over and lied down next to Ryan and fell asleep.
"Seems so." said Ryan as he fell asleep. Over that night, Hope and Carroll realized why they were meant to go on this journey. And they were happy they did. The next day they walked back to Josh and Adam's house. They got within sight and Adam saw them. "Josh! Josh! Their back!" said Adam.
He rushed to the door and saw them. Ryan and Carroll were holding hands, and Tory and Hope were leaning against each other, as they walked. "Finally!" he screamed as he ran out to great them.
This journey was harder for them then I described. They fought out of control poke’mon, climbed incredible heights, and made lots of new friends. They really did a lot of hard stuff to get through this and in the end the absol who watched their journey screamed, "Finally!" right along side with Josh. Not because the kids were together but because the hard journey was over.
