Spring "Break"

Over break, I went to Florida and stayed with cousins. Stayed there from Sunday to Thursday. We went to a theme park EVERY SINGLE DAY, excluding the first, which we spent at church and then at the beach.

First we went to SeaWorld, which I haven't been to since I was a little kid. It was funny since it was pretty leisurely and we watched a bunch of shows. There was this one show that had a lot of acrobatics and bungee-ing and though it was extremely entertaining, it also scared the crap out of me. I'm afraid of heights so when I saw them flipping through the air I was like, "PLEASE DON'T FALL!!" We also went on the roller coaster "Manta", and at first they were testing out the ride so the line wasn't moving at all. When if finally did start to move it was SO SLOW. The sign said the wait was 45 minutes but it was more like an hour and 15 minutes. The ride was alright. It's kinda like Superman at Six Flags.

The next day we went to Universal Studios because I really wanted to go on the Harry Potter ride. IT WAS FRICKEN' PACKED. Honestly, there was no breathing room. To even get into the Hogwarts section of the park, you had to wait on line to get a ticket that told you to come back in 2-3 hours. Then you waited on a line to get into that section of the park. Once you're in, you have to wait 2 hours to get on the line. People were cutting like crazy and I wanted to beat them down because it was about 90 degrees out and most of the line was outside in the heat. Seriously, they were sneaking in through the bushes and this one Asian lady came up to my sister and I and said, "My company is over there, can I go ahead of you". We really didn't know what to say, but I don't think it even mattered because she just went anyway.

I entertained myself by eavesdropping on the family in front of us. They were really interesting, and the only word I could use to describe them would be geeky, but in a good way. However, there was someone else behind us that was rather gaseous and it was pretty unpleasant. When we got into the last leg of the line, it was really awesome because they have this castle that resembles the school and such and there was all kinds of props and the best part was that it was Air Conditioned!! My sister couldn't remember the headmaster of the school and the father of the geeky family in front of us couldn't resist answering and was all like, "Dumbledore!!" We finally got on the ride and it was like green screen simulator stuff mixed with haunted house real stuff popping out of you. My sister freaked out when the spiders popped out and I freaked out when the dementors dropped down. I really can't stand ghosty-skeletony stuff. I really enjoyed it however, I just freaked out because I thought it was gunna brush against my leg. I ended up buying a Gryffindor sweater that looks awesome!

Next day we went to Aquatica, which is SeaWorld's watepark. It was fun, but it was really hot and since we walked around barefoot most of the time, it was pretty painful. I got sunburn on my shoulders, face, and even my scalp where my hair parts!

Last day, we went to SeaWorld again since we had a 14-day pass. My mom forced my sister and I to go see Elmo and Abby's Treasure Hunt. We were like the oldest kids there, and since we haven't watched Sesame Street since we were little my sister and I were like, "Who's Abby?" and "There's a Hispanic muppet?" However, it was Air Conditioned.

The worst part of this break has to be that I have a TON of homework. I think that all my teachers assumed that we have nothing better to do than sit home the whole week and do work for them since Wednesday, I was supposed to come in and do a AP Chemistry practice test. Then, I have a final for that class on Tuesday, which is also when I have to make up this test. In addition, my Calc teacher gave us FOUR practice packets to do and I have that final on Monday and Tuesday. If that wasn't bad enough I also have a Digital Electronics project due Thursday and a four page research paper for English due Wednesday. UGH!! I have hardly done anything, and tomorrow we're going to my Grandparent's house for Easter stuff. I'm never taking APs again...
