Predictions
Well, this part will be fun, no? Well, where do I begin? I believe I'll start off with video games. Due to so many games being pushed back to 2010 we see a jam packed beginning to 2010. Games like Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, Bayonetta all being released within the first three months things are going to be quite hectic. I'm certain these first three months will be looked at by those companies as a measuring stick for how successful they are going to be for the rest of the year, at least for the specific games they released in those months. Not only that but afterwards there is still supposed to be a lot of great games coming out. Games like Splinter Cell: Conviction, Starcraft 2 and (sometime in the year) Dead Space 2.
My prediction for the first three months will be that two games are going to stick out as being the highest sellers. Also, that even though one of the games I'm thinking of is also on the 360 I believe the PS3 version will be the higher seller. Those two games are the PS3 exclusive (and also winner of most anticipated game of 2010 on the VGAs) God Of War 3 and Final Fantasy 13. I believe those two games will be the highest sellers. Those two games have way too many fans. But, I'll try and steer things another way. Heavy Rain is to come out next year if you have a Playstation 3 or are planning to get one I urge you to give this game a chance. It's already shaping to be one of the most graphically impressive games and the story really seems original along with the gameplay.
Ok, now for the anime industry. I'm not really going to spend too much time here. I'm not really one to know the ins out of the anime industry. But it won't stop me from saying random things that when looking back will make me go, "aw man, that was dumb" or "man, that was just generalized stuff". First, there will be a new hyper popular shonen anime. What I mean is there will be another anime that is like Bleach and Naruto either already animated and going to premier or will be in the works to be animated. With Bleach and Naruto and One Piece having this past decade I believe something new has to be made to challenge them and to be more for this upcoming generation. Second, I believe more niche anime will finally get to have more exposure in 2010. It's already started to happen this year, it'll just happen more so next year.
Also I predict that that all of my buds who've been working hard will get more famous next year, and that I will also move toward the kind of art that I WANT to make. Also that the Ikari Warriors and the Anime Mavericks will be expected to Rock All next year.
Ok you know what I'll end it there because I think I'm just making it up now. But then again isn't this all making it up? I can't see into the future you know.
