So... at the behest of two of my buddies, yesterday I watched the Kamen Rider Decade movie All Riders Vs Dai Shocker. If you guys don't know I'm a huge tokusatsu fan... you must have just met me or something. I know some of you don't know too much about Super Sentai (what Power Rangers is based off of) or Kamen Rider, but that's why I'm making my show Toku For Noobs. Um... some spoilers ahead though I try not to give details.
Anyway about the movie itself. It's basically the finale to Kamen Rider Decade the show that preceded the current show airing Kamen Rider W. The movie starts off with with one of the folks from Decade I didn't really watch Decade because I didn't really care for it realizing that a bunch of worlds are colliding together because the Kamen Riders powers are being drawn to each other and if the worlds collide well, existence ends... or something to that effect. They tell Decade that the only way to stop this is to decide which Kamen Rider is the strongest of them all. Or so Decade is told so they host a tournament and they show Kamen Rider Decade beating a lot of the older riders. They showed him fighting Kamen Rider Black RX and defeating him. I didn't like that Black RX would school Decade any day of the week! ><
So then Decade defeats the other Riders and all of a sudden crap goes down and they find out that Decade was the leader of the bad guys! Wait what no, it's his sister and ShadowMoon! Dang, that's some twists for you. Then all of a sudden his buddy Yusuke is turned into an evil Kamen Rider. Decade starts feeling sorry for himself and was even willing to let someone kill him but then he finds his fire and is ready to fight Dai Shocker. Kamen Rider Diend, who fights with Decade was fighting by his self in the meantime.
Decade finally comes to help
Ha, ha and this is when things get interesting, Decade and Diend team up and decide to fight Dai Shocker themselves they go up against all Dai Shocker throws at them... and start to get overwhelmed, things looked bleak for our heroes until, wait, what's that? ALL THE KAMEN RIDERS COME TO HELP! Led by the first three.
They whip some Dai Shocker butt, and Shadowmoon comes out, not the same Shadowmoon from Black and Black RX, mind you. Anyway Shadowmoon starts beating up Decade and Diend (the other riders were fighting other Dai Shocker monsters). But another Rider comes out, half green and half black, who can change his colors depending on the powers he's using. It's Kamen Rider W! The current Kamen Rider comes out and beats the crap out of Shadowmoon pretty easily then leaves. So, they think it's over but then King Dark comes out, and he's HUGE. The other Riders wonder how they fight that, but it seems one of them had a trick up his sleeve just for this moment and calls a giant Kamen Rider to battle King Dark. Kamen Rider Decade merges with the giant Kamen Rider and perform a Rider Kick with all the the power of all the previous Kamen Riders. With the enemy defeated the other Kamen Riders go back to their world and give Decade props. You specifically see the original two Kamen Riders give him props. Then the credits roll and you see Decade and Diend's life afterwards and how Decade's sister and him get along again and all that.
All in all it was a pretty nice movie, lots of cameos and such that would make fans happy. I was just glad to see Black and Black RX in it. (they're the same person but in this movie they're separate I guess since there's different worlds Black comes from a world where he didn't become Black RX). I don't like Decade, but having team up with all the other Riders is pretty awesome. If you're a Kamen Rider fan I totally recommend seeing this movie.
