Whoever you know me as, I extend my welcome to you! I hope you enjoy your time here, with all my rants, vents, anecdotes, and more.
Sorry this place isn't much to look at. I've never been good at computer programming and setting up stuff. LOL
I read such a huge variety of mangas it's a bit scary. Last count... let's see... 79 series. And I haven't updated my list in probably six months.
A few of my favorites are: Special A, Tokyo Mew Mew, Gakuen Alice, Naruto, BLEACH, Ghost Hunt, Tegami Bachi and Inubaka!
I absolutely love to read all sorts of regular books as well, so if you come across any that blow your mind, send me a PM or leave me a comment about it!
Other things I enjoy are sleeping, drawing, writing, TegakiE, RPing on TegakiE, photography, soccer, softball, golf, KARATE BBY, music, haning with my friends, irony, Heroes, and eating.
Hmmmm. I'm still sick-ish and it's rather annoying. I'd very much like to just skip school to sleep, but it's waaaaay more a hassle to miss school than it is to be sick in school. I'm not sure if what I has is contagious, but almost a fourth of my school is out now with sickness anyway. The dude who sits next to me in English is rumored to have swine flu. He's been gone for three days. One friend who I now only see in band has been out for... Friday, the weekend, Monday Tuesday, today.......holy snap, six days. My band teacher was even out for six days, two of them being a weekend (but it was spectacular since we had a study hall and it was just such a relief to have a break). One of my friends almost left school today because she felt sick. And if she's sick tomorrow... that'll mean she'll miss my birthday. :(
Last year one friend missed my birthday party, too, since she got sick. People always get sick in October. And since my birthday is IN October... yeah... /sobs
But I like my birthday being in October. My favorite month!
And 22 is totally the most awesome number ever. Duh.
I've been dizzy for the past week or so, and I've been having trouble focusing on objects at time. I HOPE TO THE HIGH HEAVENS I HAVE NO DISEASE.
Well, band is still eating up my time. We're having a "varsity show" next Tuesday called our "Spooktacular" and we'll be playing all these super tight scary songs along with our "marching" show music (LOL we didn't march at all though). We're playing music from Wicked, Night on Bald Mountain, Thriller, and In the Hall of the Mountain King. Except imagine it with all band instruments in lieu of an orchestra. And no singing. But we do sing for another song. *laughs*
And it's totally awesome for the In the Hall of the Mountain King song, since I've been drafted to play baritone sax. It sounds really amazing. But sadly, my poor tongue isn't used to such a thick reed and blowing so much air. My tongue was bleeding today. D:
Nothing much more to say. I'm so excited for tomorrow since it's a short school day, too. Which means quizzes on my b-day, but the day will be done sooner, and I can go to karate. AND DO BIRTHDAY PUSH-UPS. AWWW YEAH.
How are you all?
Oh, and bringing back the old fun questions:
If you could play an instrument in the world, what would it be? I'd totally play percussion or trombone.
P.S. Check my dA (Poppukon) if you want to see a sneakpeak of my updated style and a design for a contest!
LOL Some song on the radio right now that I forget the name to. I listen to the radio a lot. C:
I'm siiiiick. I feel like someone stuffed my head with cotton. And my throat is like rubbed with sandpaper. It was worse last night at band (THANK GOD WE'RE DONE MARCHINGGGG) and this morning.
It was especially bad this morning at karate. Today was graduation and it made it hard to breathe. It hurts to talk and swallow, so I've been trying to avoid both all day...
It was the worst at graduation because we are supposed to yell when kick and doing other moves so we can force ourselves to breathe (it's really important, I almost passed out once because I wasn't breathing enough), and my sensei had to tell me to be louder LOL. It was hard, and exhausting but I did it.
; U ;
In other news, I've been doodling tons in class the past few days. It makes me happy. I even showed my friends some little scribbles having to do with class. In fact, I even left one in my AP Euro class of Charles II of Spain where I made him look even ugly. XD I also left part of the theory my friend and I came up about why King Louis XIV of France was so messed up-- it wasn't just Mazarin fooling around with his mom and the Fronde going on, his father was homosexual (told by wikipedia and multiple other (more credible) sites) with some marquis. We joked about that and then I left that in the classroom. My teacher mentioned in the next day and my friend ended up telling him that I did. LMAO It was funny.
Also having to do with AP Euro, if you're heard of "nobles of the robe" (middle class people who gained enough money to buy high ranking positions in France in the 17th century) I drew "nobles of the robots" due to a wonderful brainfart I had. My friend was trying to get me to say nobles of the robe, but I couldn't figure out what she was saying, so I finished with "robots" instead of "robe". Hence the drawing. XD
But I've been drawing things you guys would probably understand better LOL. I've been playing out tons of new Mew outfit designs, and I had a new Mew I'm thinking of posting soon. I'm not sure if I should post her before I finish b-day gifts, 'cause it seems a bit rude... I'm not sure. Thoughts?
OK enough from meeee.
Tell me what's up with y'all.
(PM ME OR MSN ME; I'M SUPER LONELY TODAY ; A ;)
Wow, do months go fast. School seems to fly by, yet it also goes so dang slow at times... Especially my first four hours of school. PAINFUL PAINFUL PAINFUL.
Oh, I never did post my schedule. OTL
Hour -- 1st semester/2nd semester
1st -- Honors Algebra 2/Lifeguarding
2nd -- Symphonic Band/ Symphonic Band
3rd -- Honors 10B English/Honors 10A English (10B is a writing class, 10A is a speech class)
4th -- Honors Chemistry/ Honors Chemistry
5th -- LUNCH/LUNCH
6th -- AP European History (both semesters)
7th -- Introduction to Imaging/ Honors Algebra 2
8th -- Spanish 3 (both semesters)
Too many honors class. SOBBBB
And I have to take two AP tests in May. :| Not fun.
...I wonder if it'll be worth doing softball with so much academic stuff...
Yeah... I love October. Probably my favorite month, since fall is my favorite season. I love the smell of the air up here, and I love the fresh apples we always get. THEY TASTE SO GOOD. ; w ;
LOL And it's my birthday month. 22nd of October, bby.
And I'll finally finally finally be 15.
It sucks being younger than all my friends sometimes. I always feel so behind. I'm not going to get my license for like... ever.
It's Homecoming this weekend, too. I'm pretty excited about it, just 'cause the theme is the Dark Knight. That's pretty BAMF. And the school spirits days this year have sucked. :|
Monday --> Inflatables Day (seriously, like no one did this. At all)
Tuesday --> Cowboy Day (I forgot. And I have no cowboy stuff)
Wednesday --> Cops and Robbers Day (I was a robber--I totally wore all black and this kick butt hat. YUP. But not as cool as sexy cop Iri.)
Thursday --> Homecoming shirt day/Batman dress up day (also cross-dressing day for Seniors. HOLY CRAP, IMA, YOU'D HAVE LOVED IT.)
Friday --> Class color day (red = sophomores)
I got my hair cut yesterday, which probably wasn't a good idea right before Homecoming... OTL
The lady who cut my hair had no idea what she was doing. My mom showed her a picture to go off of, and it looks NOTHING EVEN CLOSE to the picture. And my bangs are totally crooked AND too short. Don't go to Fantastic Sam's no matter how much cheaper it is. Not worth the bad haircut.
FFF Plus like, tons of people didn't even mention it today. Really, did I just wake up and three inches were off my hair? Naaah, 'course not.
Fill me on your lives, plzandthankyou.
P.S. You know what gets my goat?
That lots of people don't know about what's going on in Darfur. :|
And how the recent gov't was getting our hopes up about fixing it, but nothing has happened.
Of course, Rome wasn't built in a day, and we can't expect immediate changes... Nor can we expect much help for other countries when we need to focus on our own now.
But I really think the genocide in Darfur needs more attention. If you've heard of the group Invisible Children, you might know what I mean. I've decided to join a group at my school supporting that this year, and I'm definitely going to try and support them as much as I can.
It's just... we watched an extremely emotional video yesterday about a girl with AIDS in Darfur who is suffering from the war and from the horrible disease. It's been on the mind. I wish I knew more ways to help.
KK END RANT
SORRY LMAO
OH AND I'VE BEEN HAVING REALLY WEIRD DREAMS LATELY. (Like about bird people trying to assasinate me, and weird events that I think are real, but they turn out to not be ;;)
I need to learn how to control them more. I'm more exhausted when I wake up them when I go to bed.
As much as I love FMLs because I enjoy irony, there are times when I just feel too down to want to think about that.
The world's a big place. It's a cold world. People hate, people kill, people destroy. As much as we work to undo it, there are more who just go and try to break the curve.
Today, I found the website givesmehope.com and I cried as I read some of these.
I have to admit, I'm a wimp lately when it comes to sappy things or when people yell at me a lot and I get stressed, but w/e. I cried while reading a little manga about an old man and a dog about a year ago. Whenever I see the movie FLUKE (which I hate because it's so SAD) I want to cry. When I saw 'Nobody Knows' I cried; no mom should ever leave her children.
Hearing the little stories of good is enough to make my day a little brighter.
Try it.
It may help you, too.
Celebrate a man who changed all of our lives, even if we don't realize it.
I'd post a picture of my Kermit mask I made in the 7th grade, but I don't have a camera I can do it with right now. :C
I thought this was important enough to post rather than anything about my life. LOL
But school has been insane since it started. HOMEWORK IS SLOWLY DESTROYING MEEEE.
I got so much better at golf guys, you have no idea. I overall only played in two matches, and did horribly in both, but I improved so much during the season. Hallelujah.
One of my best friends on the team got to play some varsity matches, so I was so excited for her. <3
As for my school schedule, I really, really, really dislike my AP Euro and my Algebra 2 Honors teachers. :| My algebra teacher doesn't really teach us much, or she's so vague most of us can't really understand... I'm doing okay in the class though, which is a relief. AP Euro, on the other hand, is a stuggle. I thought I'd be okay since I took APUSH over the summer (a harder course!) and got an A, but my teacher. MY TEACHER.
So DUMB I swear. Doesn't know what he's teaching. Jumps around too much. Makes us do waaaay too much reading and doesn't review the stuff we do read, really. And there are things on the tests that weren't what we learned.
I got a 95 on the first test, a 96 on the second, and on this one, a freaking 85. And that was one of the better scores. Two people in my class got A's. TWO. TWO.
There's something wrong if only TWO people are, in my opinion.
So basically, homework is slowly eating me alive, I'm possibly going to get much less computer access as time goes on so I can get my homework done (which I should be working on now, but hey, it was a short day today), and my stress level has caused me to catch some kind of a cold.
I couldn't talk at times, my throat is a b-with an itch, my nose is constantly leaking, I sneeze like no other (and at least twice every period), and my contacts are bugging me. The latter actually has nothing to do with the cold, but it's irritating too.
OH. AND FRESHMAN.
WOW.
I never realized how incredibly STUPID and just completely and utterly RUDE most of them are.
Yeahhh...
In other news, I hope to start watching Gossip Girl since Iri gave me a glimpse what that looked like (LMAO) and it looks like I could laugh my butt off at it. Heroes is hopefully starting up soon, so that'll be AMAZING. And Eastwick, or however it's spelled, sounds really good. And since it has DARREN CRISS IN IT (did I mention I have such a crush on him despite the fact it's totally stupid?) so I'm definitely going to watch it. Darren played Harry Potter in the A Very Potter Musical videos I posted... last post? /sob I don't update enough, do I?
I'm thinking of getting some more art up soon, guys. Still haven't gotten back my fashion designs from LAST YEAR'S art class. Construction at my school has caused SUCH an upheaval in rooms and displays that the art teacher hasn't probably even though about it. D<
Anything I miss with you guys?
Rant, vent, do whatever the heck you want. TELL ME WHAT'S GOING DOWN.
[btw, if you ever want to find me and I seemed to have mysteriously disappeared here, just check my TegakiE account. I go on there a lot. OTL]
OH, AND I'M GOING TO FLORDIA FOR BAND IN JANUARY. EEEEEE~ HARRY POTTER WORLD, I WANT YOU TO BE DONE THENNNN. NOT IN THE SPRING. >C
