RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN RAWRRRRR! DX

... Listening to the normal 'Caramelldansen' makes my heart slow down, not speed up. THIS IS WRONG! *searches for the Speedycake Remix*

'Neways, it WON'T STOP RAINING. I'm not even kidding. It's so bad, that MAJOR places are flooding. Not far from where I am, there was a tornado and it was really scary.

And the only reason I'm writing this now? THE RAIN.

'Cause my school FLOODED. Only school in the district that it happened to. So now I have no school today, while all the other schools do. >:D

But I really wonder how they're going to handle the school thing... Friday's our last day of school and we used up two of our snow days this year (we have this weird thing for the first snow day, you make it up, but the second you don't), so we would have to make it up. But graduation is on Friday, and they can't postpone that. And almost no one would show up for school on Monday if they extended it.

RAWR.

Anywho, I'm going to give you all the LONG details of my Saturday so you can learn all about the floods that are taking part in my MidEast state. :D (Copied and pasted from an email to my friends)
Feel free to skip/skim.
'I got to sleep in pretty late since the lock-in on Friday, so when I woke up, there was lots to do. We had a garage sale going on, so I had to help with that for a little while, but we didn't sell almost ANYTHING. So as my mom is bringing stuff in from the garage sale, I try to take a pan of brownies that we were selling, and since she didn't realize what I was doing, took them away. So she swings the door shut. Only problem with that? MY THUMB WAS THERE. So now it's all purple at the bottom, and my nail is supposed to fall off. T^T

Right after the door incident, my mom and I have to go to the visitation for my soccer coach's mom's funeral. And it was really scary, because this is the first time I saw a dead person. It was so strange... But I saw my coach, so it was pretty good.

BUT NEXT! So we're putting a bathroom in our basement (for Lord knows why) and my mom wants to go buy some tile. So after we stop at this shoe store (Shannon, you'd have loved it) and I changed there, we headed off to the tile store. We stopped at one tile place, but they were out of stock with the tile my mom liked. So we went down the street and found some good tile. THEN we go to Sam's Club and buy a bazillion thing, 'cause my dad was having a large meeting at our house the next day. And as we're leaving the store, IT STARTS TO RAIN. Then we drive to HOBO so my mom can pick up a soap thing for the new shower. I stay in the car, and I hear this weird noise.

Turns out, it was the TORNADO SIREN. AND IT STARTS TO POUR LIKE NO TOMORROW. And there was a big doggie in the car next to me, who started to howl along with the siren. But the rain was too loud, and I couldn't hear him after a few minutes.

So my mom comes out, and we go to the mall. YAH, BARNES & NOBLE! Only problem is that it's still pouring, and as I stood in the side of the Mayfair Barnes & Noble a nice annoncment comes on. 'There has been a severe weather watch so we'd like all of our shoppers to move away from the windows to the middle of the store.' And then my mom comes rushing into Barnes & Noble yelling for me. Turns out, a tornado had touched down in Wauwatosa (or something like that) and we had to be evacuated to the basement of Boston Store. After an hour in the basement (with men's suits and dishes), I went stir crazy, my friends. And when I tried to leave, there was a scary police officer (and a bunch more) all over and told us to go back in the store.

When we finally could leave, I spent a little time in B&N, before we had to leave. RUNNING THROUGH THE DOWNPOUR. And the traffic was horrible on the way back, because large parts of the road were flooding.

When we get home, we were met by a hysterical Ryan, who told us OUR BASEMENT WAS FLOODING. We grabbed a bunch of towels, but our subpump was overflowing or something, so it wasn't doing much good. We had to move EVERY THING electric (and if you know my basement, that's a heck of a lot of stuff) and the chances of my dad having a meeting down there were smashed. And when called the neighbors for help, turns out they had their own basement problems. And they were having their basement remodeled at the time, so they had to call a bunch of insurance people... I was sent over to help with their five kids. I got to watch the sweet baby TJ. :]

They were literally hauling up BUCKETS from their basement, and it took at least an hour and a half to get all the water up. They also had some other neighbors, who were helping after they fixed their own flooding problems. I continued to keep the kids occupied for a while. My dad brought a pizza over that we were going to make for ourselves, and all the kids ate there.

When it was finally over, it was after 8 o'clock, and I had gotten home from the mall around 4 or 5.

So I finally went to bed, but our carpet is still soaking wet, and so is every else in our basement...'

Yeah... My Saturday.

And I won't bother y'all any more. I'll just go straight to the questions. :]

1. How's the weather? See above rant.

2. What do you think of watercolors? Not that hard to use when you get used to them. Hard to blend, though.

3. What material do you find it hardest to use to draw (i.e. ink, watercolors, computer, pencil, anything, etc.)? Computer.

4. Name the first thing that comes to mind when I say, "MARLEY". Marley & Me! (book title)

5. Have you ever danced and sang while no one was around? Yessss. >.>

6. What's your favorite type(s) of aquatic animal? Dolphin/penguin/fishies!

Take care and tell me how you're all doing!
