Hey errybody! Sorry I've been MIA lately. I've been working pretty much all the time. The good news is, I quit my crappy fast food job and Saturday is my last day, so woot woot! I have a job at Staples starting in September, and the way things worked out I have over a week between the end of the old job and the start of the new one. I'm gonna use that time to try and catch up here. By the way, everyone I took requests from, I still haven't forgotten you. I've got lots of fun stuff to post as soon as I have some free time, so stay tuned!

She's baaaaack!
Hey guys! So first off I just wanna say to everyone I took art requests from, I haven't forgotten you! I've been super busy the last month or so, which is why I haven't been active here, but starting now I'm getting back in the game, and obviously I'm keeping any promises I made.
The main reason I haven't had much spare time is because of my stupid job, which, happily, I'm not going to be at much longer. I had an interview at Staples about a week ago, and they told me the job was mine if I wanted it. So, yaay! I'm putting in my two-week notice at DD just as soon as the background check is finished, and frankly, I can't wait.
Ooh, guess what? I finally bought an electric guitar! It's a mini Fender Squire and I got this used Crate amp to go with it. I've spent the last few days fiddling with the different settings trying to get it to sound like Joe Strummer's guitar. For some reason the amp has knobs marked low, mid and high, and it took me forever to figure out that those are base, mid, and treble. It's so annoying because I was trying to get distortion, and the online tutorials kept saying that I needed to set bass to this and treble to that, and I was like, "aw, my amp doesn't have those!" but they actually do, just the people who made the amp called them different things just to confuse me 
I've been doing lessons on Nihongo Master just about every day, and it's really great. I feel like I'm really learning Japanese. It's not like Duolingo where they just kind of throw vocab at you and expect you to just instantly retain it. NM lets you go at your own pace and it has lots of drills to reinforce things. I forgot to mention this, but I've been thinking about playing roller derby. There's a team in the next town called the Elm City Derby Damez. They're doing training camp in the fall when bout season is over, and I'm gonna join. It'll be nice to get out of the house and meet new people-plus I get to make up a new name and be violent! I'm just like Batman! I made a list of derby names, which was harder than I thought. The only one that made any sense was Super Smash Sister. I kinda like that.
Well anyway, that's what I've been up to. I've been thinking about doing a Reading/Watching/Listening To feature. Bloggers with a big reader base do those sometimes, but it seems kind of self-gratifying for me to do it, since, you know, I'm not like a writer or anything, I'm just a girl who likes to talk about herself. I mean, my mom does those posts, but she's a freelance writer with actual readers. I dunno, I think those posts would mostly be fun for me to write, I dunno if people would actually want to read them. Would you guys be interested in reading something like that? By the way, if I do that feature, I'm totally adding a Playing category, because I'm a nerd and I like to talk about video games.

I'm not good with words, but I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who took the time to make me feel better yesterday. Stuff like that plays right into my insecurities, but the fact that I have good friends who dropped me a line when I was feeling anxious and upset is amazing. I'm sorry I didn't write back, like I said, I'm bad with words.
