Hey, I'm WildGirl1977 (aka Lena). I'm a punk rocker, hence the name of the blog :)It's a play on the Ramones song "Sheena Is A Punk Rocker". I like anime (duh), sci-fi, comics, and rock and roll. lazy saturday

Hey guys! I slept in wicked late today, and I've pretty much spent the whole day being lazy. I don't know why I'm so tired, I mean, I had all of last week and Wednesday of this week off, and I'm still exhausted. Guess I should go to bed earlier.
I tried to watch Fairy Tail earlier, but sadly the video was super jerky and slow, so I gave up. I like never have time to watch anime, and when I do something stupid like this always happens That's okay, I'll have time for stuff like that this summer. I'm taking a gap year after I graduate high school, and my dad suggested that this summer I go and visit my aunt in California. I'm excited because I'd get to spend time away from my big crazy family, plus take a plane ride all by myself and plus I haven't been to Cally since I was a little baby. I'm also thinking about going to school there after this year. California has a really good college system, and the in-state tuition is reasonable (I'd have to become a resident to pay the in-state, obviously, but that's do-able).
I just realized the next issue of Ms Marvel comes out on Wednesday! Guess I need to make a trip to the comic book store. I haven't been there in ages because my job ended, so I didn't have any money to buy stuff. I had a babysitting gig on Monday, though, so that can catch me up on Ms Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy. I wish I had some sort of steady income, but I've had bad luck getting a job. My favorite coffee shop is hiring, and I'd love to work there because they're right down the street from me. Sadly, you have to be eighteen to work there, and I'm a month shy of eighteen. Well, they've had that help wanted sign up for months now, so hopefully they don't hire anyone for another month.
When I get a job, the first thing I'm doing is saving up for a solid bodied electric guitar an an amp. I have an acoustic, which is fine, but it's pretty much impossible to be punk rock without an electric. I mean, YOU try playing "I Wanna Be Sedated" on an acoustic! I tried transcribing the chords once, and I couldn't even begin to figure them out! My acoustic is lovely, but I wanna rock out! Sorry, got a little overexcited there. I have had a lot of caffine this afternoon, and not much else. I'm gonna go eat something.

slightly less miserably cold than I was...

Hey guys! Guess who had yesterday off from school because the roads were covered in black ice? Gotta love New Hampshire. I had a great time yesterday. I drew three pages of Kagamure, hacked around on my guitar, played Super Smash Bros with my brothers, made a new playlist to listen to during art class-just all the stuff I don't have time for during the week and am to tired to do on the weekends. It was awesome. And this morning it was like 30 degrees outside, which felt downright balmy after all the below-zero BS we've been having lately.
Does anyone know where I can watch Cowboy Bebop dubbed online? Most of the places that have it have it subbed, and I have trouble with the sub. I mean, I usually prefer watching anime in the original Japanese, I just think it's more fun, but Bebop is way better in English, in my opinion. I used to watch it on Kissanime.com, but it crashes a lot and the sound quality is awful. So if anyone knows of a good website, please let me know! I'm also wondering if anyone can recommend a good Wii game for me. I'm about halfway through Epic Mickey, and I also started replaying Okami recently because I'd like to go back and finish all the side quests instead of just ploughing through the main story like I did the first time. But as much as I like Epic Mickey it's not all that engaging, and, you know, I've played Okami before. I wanna try something new, so let me know if you've played any really neat Wii games.
