Hello again everyone. I know I hardly post anything here in this world anymore, but a few minutes ago I ran across a news story that I feel is worthy of posting here. Late last night apparently, the Anime News Network website revealed the name and character design for the protagonist of the next Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series. To see a picture of this new character and to get more details, click the link below.
Unfortunately, the news story doesn't reveal the name of this new Yu-Gi-Oh! anime or anything about this new protagonist's deck, like whether or not he's going to use a brand new summoning method. All we do know is that the new anime is going to premier in the spring once ARC-V finally wraps up.
To be honest, I'm a little bit disappointed. I was kind of hoping that the next Yu-Gi-Oh! anime would have a female protagonist, but I guess that's as likely as Hell freezing over. Maybe the new anime will at least have more of a focus on Ritual Monsters. Quite frankly, I don't think the card game needs another brand new summoning mechanic right now.
