Nium was born in the city of Quaran on the continent of lithium and was afflicted by a cahnge in his genetics due to the radiation, he created and changed radioactive activity near his body. When he was born his mother collapsed and died from radiation poisioning after birth and he was lookd after by his relatives when shortly after his father left him at their doorstep.
"Your late for your job" a small voice whispers near the sleeping Nium. the word late woke him up from his short sleep and he looked around startled. He sees at the end of his bed his small cusin Reny sitting down and laughing at him.
He lets out a sigh as he sits up and scratches his head "you could have just asked for me to wake up" he states stifling a yawn. The girl fell over onto his bed and laughed a little more before adding "I tried 4 times but you wouldnt listen to me". She set her teddy bear down next to her carefully and pulled a little ball out of her clothes.
"Where'd ya get this?" Nium asked as he took it out of her hands. "Mom bought it for me this morning" Reny said waiting to get her ball back. He looked it over a bit, it was a soft green and red ball that was the size of a tennis ball. "Your spoiled" he stated as he stood up and walked to his closet. His little couzin sat up as he walked. "She got you sumthin good too" she reptorted as he put on a shirt. "thanks" he replied as he threw her the ball, adding "I'll play catch later."
Nium walked from his room in the atic of the one home down the stairs to the kitchen, there he saw his aunt putting away freshly bought food. He opened the fridge and took out a bottle of juice into a medium sized plastic cup. He looked at the newly bought food and sat at the table, taking fruit out of a bowl in the middle of the table. "Reny tells me you have something for me today" he states taking a large bit of the fruit.
"Could you go pick up Damien from his daycare?" she asked changing the subject as she went back to putting the grocceries away. Knowing that she didn't want to talk about it, Nium aggreed to go and started to walk down the street. He started to feel more awake as he walked, turning the corner he was greeted by a group of friends from school. He declined offers to join them and continued on his way towards the day care. After getting to the place, he was told that Damien had ben picked up by his father and he walked home.
Nium walked in and jumped as his family members and friends sprung towards the open door yelling "Surprise." He didnt realize what was going on until his uncle told him tthat today was his eighteenth birthday. Nium laughed when he realized that he forgot his own birthday. He and his friends went out that evening to celebrate his eighteenth birthday.
