If I were to join Marty,Clark,Missie,Clae,and Clare for a week,I think I would need less of what I would normally need of todays times.I would be trveling way back into the 1930s maybe? Right now it is in the middle of winter with rain and snow falling.I would need to pack extra warm clothes,extra blankets because all of them are being used right now.I would definetly take my camera to bring back of how they lived back then.I would pack lots and lots of snacks and bottles of water.I would supply myself with books,papers,colors,pens,and anything that would keep me from being bored while sitting in an open prarie with just a house and a farm on it for miles.

If I could spend a day with a charatcer from Love Comes Softly I would pick Marty Claridge (main character).This book is set back in pioneer time,kinda like Little House on the Prarie ,but I would like to spend time and see what it was like back in this time period.To me I think it would be fun and not having to worry about the things that we do and worry about today.Marty has been through alot,her husband has been killed and later she finds out that she is carrying his (Clems) baby. The day of his funeral this strage man comes up to her and asks if she would marry him and take care of his young child.His wife just died to,so he thought they could work something out.But if somebody came up to me,remined you a complete stranger,and asked me to marry and live with them,I would be frightened!Even to make that decesion in a day!Because the preacher was in town and they had to make the decesion fast.This was the only chance for a very long time.I wonder what was going through Martys head,i would like to know.I dont know if I could have done the things she did.Women back then had to be brave..all the time. =]
