I just finished watching Kannazuki no Miko... Dang. I haven't had an anime make me cry like that in sooo long. By far one of my favorites. The beginning was a little confusing to me. Half the first episode gave the impression that it was some normal high school girl anime, the last half gave me the impression that it was gonna be hella weird. Getting used to it isn't that hard, honestly. That twist right in the middle of the series made me not want to go any further, but I'm glad I did. As much as I hated the dark Chikane and the depressed Himeko, it was definitely worth bearing through for a couple of episodes. The ending spurred so many emotions. I was upset that Chikane's existence had to go bye-bye but it was incredibly sweet when they were spilling their guts out to each other. Not literally, of course... Well, kinda...
What a lot of animes share in common is a crappy ending, and obviously this isn't one of them. The ending for Kannazuki no Miko was PERFECT.
While it was a great anime that I would recommend, there were a few things that got on my nerves. Himeko was ALWAYS crying over something. We didn't hear much about this ex-roommate of Himeko's. Chikane joined the Orochi. Oogami is just hopeless. "I will do anything to protect my Himeko!" Chyeah right. That curse should have swallowed him up long ago. So yeah. That's basically all that bothered me.
All in all, I would rate this anime a 9/10.
