2. Voice actors
Everybody loves a good voice actor. We could just listen to them talk for ever. But all good things must come to an end. Just like we get confused by Ash’s change in clothes, we also get confused by his change in voice. It would make sense if it got deeper as he got older (not that he actually grows at all) but to just sound even more girly? That doesn’t make sense. And Brock’s voice. Don’t get me started on Brock’s voice. Eric Stuart has a very unique voice, so once he leaves Pokémon, someone else has to try and copy it, only it’s not that easy. Instead it just sounds like he’s been sandpapering his throat.
Both Ash and Brock have their first voice change at the changer over from Johto to Hoenn, but practically everyone’s voice changes when the dubbing rights changed from 4kids to Pokémon USA. At this point Ash’s voice changes again, and this time, you know he’s voiced by a girl. James sounds so wrong too. The new voice actor’s just “attempt” at copying the old voice, and fail. Epically.
